Cannondale did a model as well, The Beast of the East I think it was called.

As people say, get an agreement or make sure you are both very clear on what has been agreed, always sours what can be a good relationship if there is a misunderstanding and one side of the relationship feels hard done by.

If you want thicker or oversize bars then you will need a new stem as well, bars are quite a personal thing, I quite like the Bontrager ones, go some King Earls but the Rhythm ones look pretty nice.

Seems like a bit much for just a shock service and chain replacing, should be more like £120, surely they replaced more stuff or adjusted a few more things, if it was a full service there would have been a charge for the labour and parts.

So how many people have actually used Evans then?
Did you get a good service?

Had my Stealth on yesterday in the rain and snow, was perfectly dry all day.
As people say it’s quite likely that it’s perspiration inside the jacket, I never need to wear more than a short sleeved base layer underneath it as they are really warm.

Not that cold, used to live in Comrie and my folks still do, some nice riding around there.

You’ll be fine, spent a few hours out at Swinley today, snowy and muddy and cold but lots of fun, even some nice little technical trails.
Once you know your way around the trains you do have a lot of options, plus make some friends and you can easily go away for weekends in Wales/Lakes etc.
Or just had mad fun with Jedi, keep on meaning to go an play there but never really manage to find the time and with twins on the way trying to play it safe.

Fair enough coffeeking but when you get a mobile and office number and they never get back to you there’s not much else you can do. Can’t spend all day phoning people I’m a very busy man. ;-)

From the other side I’ve had the experience a few times where a bike has been in for a service and the customer has been called repeatedly about what parts are needed and not answered or called back and then complained when they came in that the work hasn’t been done, swings and roundabouts as usual.

Tricky not to get angry in the circumstances, having twins in two weeks and our hospital has been great so far but not sure I would be a happy bunny if I felt they were receiving sub standard treatment.

Charge Spoon Ti, it’s comfortable and not too expensive, one of the few saddles I found immediately comfy and didn’t have that breaking my arse in period.

As people say Transitions are an easy thing to practice and a good place to save time, little things like using elastic bands attaching your shoes so they sit level to the cranks and you can get your feet in quicker etc.
Good tri club will get you the best advice as people have mentioned.

May go and do something else instead now………would have been more disappointed but had low expectations to begin with.
    Sigh!

Ah the pistons aren’t Ti, just the backing plates of the pads, same thing on the Remedys, bit of a swizz really. Nice bike though.

Well so far it’s going pretty well, no mistakes or anything yet.
Not finished the national anthem though…..

In a vacuum cleaner and then put it in reverse and fire it high into the air, or a toilet with a tv in it, I love toilets with tvs in them.

I would recommend Tokyo and Lang Kawi, you could spend weeks in Tokyo and still have plenty left to see and LK is so nice for just lazing about.

Saracen was a term used by Europeans in the Middle Ages for Fatimids, I think you meant Scimitars Brant.
Your point remains the same I’m just feeling overly pedantic at the moment.

    Good shop; My Evans
Bad shop; Retail is an arse to work in so I find experiences can vary quite widely, sometimes you just get a bad experience from a good shop.

I had some RC40 fighters on my Enduro for a while, really liked them but eventually wanted something a bit more chunky.
But while I had them they worked really well, you could always get the 20mm bolt through version of the Paces.

1 big 6″ bike that gets ridden for a good nine months of the year, anything with decent downhills, but gets put away for the winter.
130mm hardtail that gets used all year round depending on where I’m going to try and keep me from getting lazy on the fs.
A singlespeed used all year for getting to work.
So 3 bikes and all used, all i really need.

Get used to the low bb, you will adapt your riding pretty quickly.
Just sit and spin up the climbs, it’s not the lightest bike but it will get up nearly anything but never going to be the quickest bike uphill.
Heading to Swinley tomorrow, what are the conditions like at the moment?

Sram PC1, available from all good bike shops.

Actually the base we have is not the isofix one but the alternate Maxicosi base that fits cars without isofix, the fitting to the childseat is the same though.

Got the same thing and was surprised about the amount of play but think it’s just the way it is, plenty of padding in the seat and I think it’s just natural to worry.
We have two of them and they are both the same.

The Halo ones are super smooth, been running mine for quite a few months and even with a lot of London commuting and bashing up and down stuff they are straight and roll fine, plus in white they look really pimp.

Excite Truck is good fun as well, not very deep but highly entertaining.
Resident Evil 4, it’s a gamecube remake but worth the money, terrifying in places.

Think bike shop is unlikely to have a record of the serial number, manufacturer may be able to help out though.

Had an NHS twins prenatal thing during the day and then friends down to visit for lunch after that, then cleaned my bike and fitted some new grips.

Depends on how the frames are built, a good well built steel frame will have a bit of a zing to it, a badly built frame with rubbish tubing can feel a bit solid and dead.
Aluminium can be really stiff and harsh but with teardrop rear stays and the like can soften it up a bit.
