Incidentally the best singletrack I’ve seen in the area is the inner rampart of old Sarum, I’ve been wondering if people do ride it especially when you look at some of the roll ins. Strava heatmap suggests not though.

I press the valve from the inside then finger tight. As in push the valve against the rim, can do it with the tyre on if needed.

The bike that toons posted was at QECP, parked right next to me. I asked if the tyre would be race only or for normal riders and they confirmed the latter. Nice review, the strap system is similar to the shimano packs. I can see the advantage as my camelbak waist strap sits too high so it restricts breathing if you tension it.

Same as you only clipped in for the road bike and I think the less floaty cleats are better. Bit of a mystery how they are supposed to be positioned maybe you could find someone to help with that. Having trashed the first set of cleats I also bought the rubber covers for walking.

I was in Collingbourne on Sunday, I didn’t do any of the singletrack but the bridleway was very wet and there is more rain predicted for Saturday. With the logging in the top of the woods and the windfall in the bottom I don’t suppose this year will see it at its best. I would still be riding it but the date clashes with the Durrington triathlon my wife is in.
