I did warranty my first E13 bb after 9 months but with Wiggle they just credited it and I already had bought the replacement so there was no down time. I think the main issue is corrosion on the bearing races and I have noticed that the importer isn’t bringing in the base model bb any more they only have the plus version which is possibly a response to the number of warranty units?

You can have a lazer consultation for free which I suggest you do for better advice. FWIW during lazer surgery the cornea is cut allowing the lens to be shaped. I had it done at 31, have better than 20:20 vision and they are not expecting any different outcome to the natural process where you go towards long sighted in your 40’s and need reading glasses.

The racing jackets come with clear as well. I was going to ask if its possible to demo them so its good to hear that it is. Is it a better choice than a photochromic?

Do they have to be metal? I have some Dartmoor candy pro, seem okay no idea about longevity yet.

Get the first ones and tape them together? Or some kind of underlay that comes as a wide roll?

I emailed them to suggest the same thing – put the mag routes in the guide and make it premier. Got no reply.

Just to state the obvious – you have checked that the trainerroad program shows the right resistance level? Try level 4 instead as the curve for 3 might be wrong?

I would say that you need to do something different (possibly rest) as the xc plan is harsh and you don’t sound in a good condition to start it.

In the 2015 range the smooth sole feature is called “contact”, they will also be the lightest freeriders I think. Not good to hear of the smooth bit being a weakness and that isn’t quite where I would put my foot on the pedal so it’s also a bit pointless.

What is it about xc geometry that makes it quicker? A steep head angle is the most obvious but that is handling not speed?

It was me with the HR issues, pretty much sorted with washing and ECG gel. I would still buy one if its the cheapest but from someone with good warranty support. I have actually given up wearing it for performance/mental reasons…

Results were on twitter now I don’t know if I can mention them without it being a spoiler! To me the results tend to indicate a problem with the test but maybe they will discuss that in more detail.

The Hope would be 183mm though? When I had avids they only used 1 bolt for the caliper and adaptor so quite a bit of variation.

If you are using ant+ you could just put the garmin on for distance.

Well Mayhem isn’t that far down the m5 but the entry fee is a lot so it won’t save you much money…I think you can enter Erlestoke on the day eg if you get a lift share.

With a commute like that I don’t think I would be on the turbo at all! Have you checked that you are eating enough at the right time for training? Do the workout before the commute? I’m currently on the MTB plan and I don’t see how I could do it without at least 24 hours freshness in the legs.

Someone is making a fire extinguisher type thing called Airshot for about £50, came up in a previous thread. A Joe blow mountain is almost good enough so i’d reckon a Joe blow fat should do it? (also apparently not out yet)

I found a book I wanted listed very cheaply on amazon last year listed as a warehouse 2nd. When it arrived the “damage” was the autograph!

Yes you are right. I have a Suunto movestick mini and Garmin GSC10 which is a common combination. You will certainly also need a fan and you may need a usb extension lead in order to place the dongle closer to the sensor.

The computer needs to have an internet connection.

I switched to flats after I finished base so not sure if its possible, maybe in a high gear. If not its only a small part of a few workouts. I relax my cadence during the active recovery intervals to avoid changing too many gears and the 10% bits are backpedaled ie zero power unless you have a computerized trainer.

My current pair aren’t sticking either, previous 2 were okay. I wonder if they have become a slack fit as they get old.

Xco is the same as the old MTB plan but they now reckon you should precede it with an 8 week build. First Southern xc is 1st March so it won’t all fit in now but I was expecting to train all year anyway so I will be in form at some point.

Glad to see a long term training plan come out but a bit earlier would have helped TR! Guess I will finish the current MTB plan then put a build phase in.

I really enjoyed reading Faster: The obsession… by Michael Hutchinson which is sort of on the same subject.

There are at least 2 standards and they have different threads. Is there an owners forum? Might find the answer there if it isn’t on the manufacturers site.

Get the flu jab each year. I wouldn’t focus on cleaning things as such but avoid being close to people who are potentially ill.

I normally watch things on bbc iplayer with TR running on the bottom 1/4 of the screen which is fine. You don’t need the 510 you need a gsc10 or the newer speed sensor.

The workout texts always suggest scaling down so that you can complete. Personally I am having to face the fact that I can’t do the long vo2max intervals and will need to set them all to 95% from the start. I wouldn’t even describe the problem as pain its just a sort of hopeless feeling.

That isn’t on the damper side it’s the air side – just need a pin spanner to get it off. Unless you meant how to get the lowers off which is the same as any other fork i’ve used.

I’d not heard of the spacers so thanks for that. It’s not under much force in that direction I think it could be bodged.

As alanf says vinegar is a possible fix for cramp eg http://blog.trainerroad.com/pickle-juice-stop-cramps/

Whether you can just include a bit more of it in your diet (easy) or carry a cheese and pickle sandwich in your jersey pocket (also easy I suppose) I don’t know. I only mention it as it is possibly not widely known.

I think that it does pull muscles yes. I don’t get it much but have you heard of the vinegar thing?

A good blog[/url] post yesterday about training for mtb endurance events and how to structure a long period of training. I’m not doing a trad base this year and I don’t know what Leadville is but I might be able to use the “sustained power build” and “xc marathon” plans when they become available.

In other news i’ve failed 2 and skipped 1 of the 105% interval workouts in the mtb mid volume plan so i’m effectively on the low volume plan! It’s easier than an 8 minute test, just can’t do it right now.

Is it just me or has the virtual trainer list been updated and my trainer de-selected? I was a bit confused starting a workout with cadence but no power, had to go in and set it up again.
