Take a look at the nukeproof reducer crown race. Lower bearing shapes are quite generic and this worked for me and is cheap.

Have used a speed up for 18 months.  First one was warrantied after 2 months due to sag.  Perfectly usable any time you are sat down. If you are off the seat already there is nothing you can do – eg surprise trail features.

Alpkit generally… but I actually prefer my diablo which I think is mk3. I have it in the joystick headband which does fit despite what they say.

That’s a nasty break, I hadn’t thought about the risk of that kind of loading.  Glad you are mostly okay!  May get offered a crash replacement price?

Thread has gone very quiet!  I haven’t been on much and haven’t done much MTB recently.  Still would be tempted to replace my frame with one in that colour ^^^

They haven’t really delivered the changes that would suit me personally though -a bottle cage mount on the XL, No ISCG mount, DBIL shock.

27.5×2.6 fits nicely and I like the ride on spesh purgatory tyres. 2.8 presumably would fit but would not fit a normal 27.5 fork, also bear in mind the 2.8s are thin light tyres mine are 1kg each so much beafier to suit the bike.

Will pay the increase, to me it is much better than trainerroad in every way. The only improvement I would like is a quicker load time. Incidentally during a sub freeze eg over the summer you still get the same demo rights as new users – 25km per month free.

I got a 2016 Cube attain SL disc – happy with it. Has a full 105 hydro disc groupset, and cube make their own mudguards to fit.

Our petrol Scenic did that, I assume it was related to why the battery would randomly go flat even though at the service it tested okay.

I’ve used Thor Spectrum gloves for a few years, a good compromise between bulk and protection.

Unless I have misunderstood, this would work. It’s a non-lite maxle, does up with a 5mm allen key on both sides. Ignore the stock photo, not in stock with Ison though which doesn’t help.

I returned a couple of tyres, it was free and easy. The correspondence was in English as well which is considerate of them.

My dropouts are sorted thanks to Geoff, if anyone wants to buy my 26″ ones then email me.

Good time to check the frame over since it will be 2 years old soon. Also i’ve always fancied taking off the front mech cable stops for tidiness which I may do once it’s out of warranty. As far as I know the new XT mechs can be run without frame stops if I ever change my mind – am I wrong?

The issue would be that the LB quited erd isn’t right as mentioned a lot in this thread and the spokes will be too short. Presumably would cost you nothing to try it though before ordering spokes.

Now I wish I’d checked this thread 2 weeks ago…I also have 26″ 142mm dropouts. Would swap for or buy 650b drops.

Bear in mind whether you need to use your thumb on the screen as my endura gloves only have 2 fingers with the pads so it is no use when riding one handed.

Thanks for the Old Pier Cafe tip we liked it a lot, also the Sandwich station in Lochranza – I only got 1 bite of the cookie from there but it was amazing.

Got 2 rides in 4 days so not a disaster. I think we’ll be back when we can afford to not camp since Kildonan was outrageously windy.

We are going to be there next week, this thread has made me realise how unprepared I am. Not sure I will be able to navigate any of the routes on my own but will hopefully be able to hook up with the club ride on Thursday evening.

Thanks OP. If you wanted xxl they are listed on a separate page for even less, then BC discount on top of that.

I’ve never thought there was much width spare at the back but I would consider going for 29+ on the front and a wide rim 2.4 on the back as this guy has:

Have another bike that could also go semi and no money to play around right now though!

I have seen it answered on mtbr…have you tried searching Keith’s post history? Or email Pat at ison if no-one can answer.

I had some play but it was just the torque on the pivots being wrong, bearings were OK.

I have the DSP grips, they are good although single use. That tubeless worm on its own just isn’t going to work IMO.

You have a lot of stuff going on Kryton! I haven’t much in my calendar so I entered 8DC – anyone else? By the end of the week I will have doubled my TSS record but it isn’t so much the consecutive days that hurt it’s just the nature of the individual stages (power up ramps, down ramps). Still i’m learning a lot about stage racing from it.

Afterwards my plan is actually to return to aerobic base…

That’s some top class geekery well done! It will be interesting to see what happens in taper because iirc according to Friel you technically get less fit (but more able to perform).

I haven’t heard of this orthostatic heart rate thing – i’m trying to work out how practical it is. Is there a blog post where you talk more about it?

I don’t think that I am under rested – I have had 2 separate weeks off the bike entirely this year without any difference. You’re right that it wouldn’t cost me anything in my current state though, the power build is almost finished with no power built and I would even go back to sweet spot to try to get back on track.

Last night was the first time this year i’ve been too hot in the garage. Completed Bird though which was unexpected https://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/rides/1917835-Bird

I’ve been a bit down about training lately, I can’t seem to ride over ftp for more than minute, can’t complete an ftp test and have made no gains since finishing sweet spot in November. I think I need to take the time to tweak my riding position in a free ride session and make notes, then do the same on my race bike.

The “diff” column on the overall screen is still referring to the absolute best finishing time ie 1 lap short course. It should compare the times against the best time in the umbrella category ie the difference compared to the best 4 lap result of the day.

You would cut a Ron just as easily wouldn’t you? Mine turned up today but I think I will wait and see what weather they have lined up for Crow Hill before fitting it…
