Anybody got any opinions on winwood outdoor?

They have loads of light weight stuff but everything seems to be out of stock.

    penny stove arrived today.

Fool I hear you say but i’m not one of those people who can follow instructions well. But now I’ve got one to copy so will be churning them out by the dozen.

The thing weighs nowt and burns really really well.

Name me another mountain in the uk that has it own dedicated “poo project” because the amount of shit left on the hill?

Sorry to bang on about Jobbies.

Sanny’s article didn’t smack of being irresponsible more inspirational, get you bicycles out of the sanitised loops tucked away in forests around the UK.

    Brought to you by Leffe
    thanks Andy

    Really

I mean the ratio of walkers/climber scratching there way around heavily out numbers bicycles.

Lets not mention the amount of poo that is left behind by the red sock brigade.

So what are we saying close the Cairngorms off and just watch videos about them.

    Bunch of piss

I fully understand the fragile environment up there I have worked in outdoor education for 10 years but I will continue to ride my bicycle responsibly on the plateau as long as others enjoy the Cairngorms wilderness on foot or any other form of transport ( landrover, stalkers)

Lets not talk about the hundreds of cairns that have been made by walkers wandering off the path and picking up part of the fragile landscape and piling them next to the path on the way to Ben Macdui.

    Thanks

It’ll be fine, think of it as a bounus no rear mechs to bust, and the 8 gears will get you everywhere and when they don’t you’d be pushing on any bike. David at bothy does offer multi day hire deals too.

I would say that though as i spend enough time in there people always think i work there.

There aint many bike shops hiring £1400 bikes either.

With the sun shining, daffs poking their heads up in the garden,It’s time to think about mountain biking. As in biking in the mountains.

So come share your adventures please, Cairngorms, west coast, north west west.

    Yep done it

Alot of the up is fine a wee bit of light scrambling at the head of the coire, once on the plateau 90% ridable.

All but two 10metre sections of boulder fields of the descent is ridable

Please note this is in the mountains and I advise relevant experience in mountain stuff. stay safe.

give me a mail and I’ll see if i can tag along, any excuse to do it again.

Sounds like a DU bushing to me and if you’ve changed that? Ovalised the mount would be next on the list.

    Trekster I don’t and I didn’t say that,

I said I have been more than happy with Matt and Si’s approach to my project.

I gave them the numbers, so it’s my risk, but if it pays off it’ll be a great money saver.

@geetee1972 My frame is currently in the jig at 18bikes and i can say up until now i have been more than pleased with Matt and Si’s approach to my project. As to the reasons i went custom, what i think work as bike for me is’nt quite available anywhere else.
I chose 18 because they said yes… well maybe yes when alot of others said no way .

Matt has been really happy to make my dreams work and not just say no that won’t work.

    You do have a 15 mile commute especially if you work from home. You’ve just got to want it enough. ;-}
