LOCATION: please be aware that BW Cycling is UNDERNEATH the Cumberland Basin road deck and your GPS is likely to direct you to Narnia! I haven’t fgured out how good the parking is ( there’s limited pay and display nearby ) so pleeeease be patient with this first event. The road adjacent to the chocolate path by the Cut is CLOSED and GPS systems still head you down that bugger. Try heading for the Create centre is your best bet. The road deck covering the Jumble is FABULOUS! This Jumble can now be hosted in massive downpours! Please please bring your own table and a float. I want to maintain goodwill with Andy and Oli of BW so for tools, tape measures, vernier calipers and change YOU COME AND SEE ME. They, like every other bike shop in the country, are trying to run an excellent bike shop that’s suffered from Covid lock-down.
” despite the strict timing that everybody followed ”
To quote the great Baird ( William Shatner ) ” I guess irony can be pretty ironic sometimes. ”
Yes, John sold all his Marzocchi bits. That was a SPLENDID Jumble! Next month’s is going to be a monster!
ADVICE ( ignoring this will incur severe tutting )
-bring shedloads of change for selling and buying
-set up after 11:45
-bring a knackered old towel to wipe off oil and dirt
-double the value of your sales; by cleaning them
-don’t ask me if I know the guy with the pedals/Bianchi/wheels/all of the above; swap details so you won’t be disappointed later
-bring your own table if you can
-bring a tape measure and ( if you can ) vernier calipers
-come as a blank sheet; you’ll kick yourself for not buying bargains that weren’t on your shopping list
-be comfy being crap at this; we’re 18 months out of practice
Got the official OK from Mud Dock today and the Jumble is definitely ON!!!
YES!!
I don’t care if it’s pissing down, I’ll be there disorganising it.
WE HAVE A JUMBLE!!!
