Had this conversation with a work mate a while ago. He lives in Denistoun in Glasgow where there must be something like 90% unemployment and was moaning about how he pays, they don't. They drink all day long, they have better clothes than him, all have sky and play stations etc etc etc.

Thats the bit that annoys me. I haven't got a problem if people are willing to work legally. Its the ones who play the system and get away with it.

I'm sure if the government stopped all benefits to the scroungers who can't be bothered to get off their fat arses to do some work they'd save a fortune and get the country out of the financial hole it's in almost overnight.

Benefits bill is lower than most think – you read the Mail too much.

There are people who spend most of their 'working' day on STW, and earn loads more than people like nurses who work far longer hours for far less pay and no time on STW.

I know. I can do that too. In sales I probably take home more than most nurses while playing on STW most of the day. But I work all hours god sends to earn that.

I did it after an apeal through work when I was working for Vodafone. I "Starred" in control I was in the background of one of the gigs Joy Division did. Was 2 hours of on off pogoing to music that I couldn't hear. Very Bizarre. Got paid a princely sum of £40 and some soggy sandwiches. But I got to be in a film about one of my musical heroes.

I did do some short student films one of which I did have a starring role and did the really crap monkey style dubbing as well :) Which was hilarious.

Hackintosh isn't really that good imo. If you get lucky it works great but mine doesn't display text properly even after messing around with settings a lot – always a bit blurrier than a proper mac (which in turn I find a bit blurrier than windows)!

Also I can't find a wireless card that's guaranteed to work, I use a usb one at the minute which is ok but not ideal.

Looking around my Wind U135 isn't supported yet anyway :(

Im tempted to put the money aside and drive with no insurance – the fines the police seem to hand out seem to be decidedly less than my premium for a year.

But when you do get stopped by the police (and you will) and you get an IN10 most insurers won't touch you with RO's sweaty crusty Kn*b on the end of a barge pole.

The claim is classed as an incident and most insurers underwiters will rate on it as you have a claim on there.

I used to come on here about 5 or 6 years ago and it was really nice. Loads of fun when there's 1000+ post threads about nothing at all to see how long it takes before its closed. Then it started to get more Cliquey and I left.

Came back because I was bored at work one day and started lurking again. It's not the same warm welcoming atmosphere as it used to be. Although its better than MBUK used to be.

I know how you feel about the dog. Both our cats I had to take to be put down cos they wouldn't let anyone else take them. It's heartbreaking :(

I'm not an IT manager. I don't have a 2.2 at university. I didn't even bother going. I'm a little tubby but not obese. I'm not boring. I just keep myself to myself. I could be wildly entertaining if I wanted to be. But in front of a bunch of people I never have met and TBH unlikly will meet I can't be arsed. I'm on here cos I'm bored at work and while I could afford to not work I do it because I'd be more bored not working.
So if we bore you RO why don't you go and do something that doesn't bore you. I'm sure we could all think of a few things for you to do.
