Did Cannock at 9 this morning and it was Brilliant ! The braking holes of last year had almost gone 😀

Cannock drains really well, cos its round pebbles and sand that chews ya bearings up !

I real good mate of mine owns a apple (and pear) farm in Kent and supplies Tesco with royal gala apples and all sorts of pears…

We where chatting over Christmas about the poor crop of apples this year , and he mentioned that when Tesco offer buy one get one free on apples ( his gala apples) they play hard ball and the FREE apples (usually bagged for convenience) are paid for by HIM! ! Not by Tesco , they pay his company half the agreed price per kg / tonne and when there questioned tell the poor old farmer they are running a offer !

For that reason I actively avoid Tesco, can I say wank3rs on here ?!

I always think of what I’d like played “as my last song” ..

My current fave is this, as its from “my generation” and pretty much everyone knows the words so would be singing it in their heads.

I had a “Trek Go-Bug” for my 2 lil’ boys, its was AWESOME, really light alu’ construction, looked mega cool, and towed like a dream, on all surfaces, at all speeds.

Really missed having to sell it cos the kids where too big.

5 miles each way – every day all year round, regardless of weather. If I don’t bike, I run.

I usually do that when I’m working at my “home plant” – LOVE running to work in the summer… 6 and a bit miles each way.

15 miles each way each day – I leave the house at 05:30 every mornign so I get in time to have a wash * and get into the office to start at 07:00.

When it rains I wear a waterproof jacket, and MTFU. 😀

    * By shower I mean a wash in the sink in the OUTSIDE toilets!!!!!! Brrrr at least it has Hot water 🙂

I use a Fluxient 3 x U2 on my bars and its AWESOME !!! and the Old Magic shine 1000lmn (a-like) lives on top of my helmet and is great for looking where to aim next.

The Fluxient was £130 and worth every penny! Seems to be properly waterproof too.

I’ve made a similar thing using a small extending paint roller handle from B&Q with a welded end on it that has to different angled heads. Paint roller fitting removed! before someone says it!

For the 3rd person perspective I just pop it into my camel back and do the 2 zips up around it. Its ace!

I’ve also used it zip tied to my stem sticking out in front of me so that its looking back at me, that’s a pretty sweet angle too.

Time for a new light, got the options down to either the Luminator or the Fluxient 3 x U2, anyone had experience of them both,
    Recommendations please……

Just got a luminator 3x U2 from mtb lights.co.uk who where great, super fast postsge and answered my wuestion about the 2 year warranty within 12 hours. first impressions Are that’s it ain’t never going to be a helmet light ! It’s a chunky beastie…. But when it’s mounted on your bike on the good bracket it’s solid and secure.
First lil blast round my local park and on the lowest setting it’s as bright as my “magic shine alike from DX” on high it’s just bloody silly! So much light anything even remotely lightly coloured turns into a blinding mirror!

Can’t wait to get onto the trails with it !

…. Seems tho that nothing is quite as bright as my old bright star mag levin H.I.D’s !!!! They can REALLY chuck out some light !

I know EXACTLY what vehicle there from, but I’d rather not say on public forum! They are used on the vehicle as the front “fog lamps” .

Maybe my question was badly phrased…

I just wondered if anyone could Identify the LED by looking at the front of it ? I think they might be XML-s but I’m not sure, hence the post.

Not exactly a Garage, but a corner of my Fathers factory was turned into a studio for his office seating. Stud walls 7 roof fabricated them plaster boarded, and the whole lot painted deep matt white. Installed a roller system with 4 different colour backdrops, and some pucca studio lights… Its awesome for product (ad the occasional family portrait) photography.

I’ll did out a pic of it, and pop it up.

Yeah £300 is silly money, but my last expensive lights where great, and lasted for a good 4 years – Brightstar Max (mag) Levin HID lights… BIG HEAVY, but flipping awesome throw, and brightness ! but sadly the batteries are a bit dead, and the lamp units have started to crack, and the wires are breaking where they flex. Booo Hooo

At the moment i’m looking at the Flucient 3XU2 at £133 !! 😯 as its got a 2 year guarantee and all that and is as bright as the £600 Niterider. They seem like a absolute bargain.

    with an owl…

… that reminds me got chased by a Owl whilst in Oz, and cycling through the bush at night with a buddy – apparently the owl frequents a spot on the trail and as the cyclists pass he follows them – really close to your shoulder… Reason is that the clever lil thing had worked out that all sorts of flying bugs are attracted by the bright lights, so following you gets hi a easy dinner !

Separate batteries all the way for me I think… anyone got any direct or against your mates experience of the 3xU2 lights V’s Luminator / Glowworm ?

scruff, are they the “glow worm” lights ?

What’s the difference between the XML-T6 & (edit) U2 lights ? would they not be equivalent to 2 x magic shine a likes as in Dez-B’s post ?

Anyone gone from a magic-shine-a-like to a MTB batteries light? what’s the visible by your eyes difference ?

    100% re-branded smart Lunar 2

…. Which IMO is a BAD A$$ rear light, I use one every day, and its awesomely bright !

But be careful with the angle you have it at… It’s very bright for a rear light.

Once I’ve done the video I’ll pop up a link, should anyone wish to see Dr P’s rear ! 😯
