had a 4 hr loop round our way today,conditions were brilliant.

have to say though in my defence, when i bought mine, i didn't know of dealextreme so went with what i knew.
can't say as i'd change them either

have to be honest, the vision 1's have served me well. so good that i run 2 of them, 1 helmet and 1 bar mount. i think they would be ideal for what you're looking for. no problems at all. get 2-3 hours run time depending what setting, conditions. i use 2700mah batteries by the way as hope recommend
