    i ride round sherwood forest a lot and find 32-15 ok. seems ok for round that way, nothing too taxing
    thinking of going to 14 in the summer when conditions should be better.

    but then again i have got big legs 😆

    i know, i'll strap my singlespeed over my back, come over on my road bike. do the ride, then have a steady pootle home all in time for tea

    160 in a day. 9hrs in the saddle 17mph(ish) average.
    mansfield to skegness and back just for fun. got there, locals asked what chrarity we were doing it for. nearly fell over when we told them it was just for a laugh, and we were riding back.

    have to be honest, i do only ride on a cycle route so no cars to worry about, but the snow was still 6-8 inches deep and very icy when it decided to freeze. can honestly say the only real problem i had was when it decided to thaw, 6 inches of white slush puppy for miles!!

    my son has the same problem, him being 6'3" and only 11 stone wet through.
    he's now deciced he wants to take up this riding lark more seriously and is desperste to find some tights that will fit. he does have a limited budget though.
