Yes. As it happens my 5’11 mate is selling one, set up as rigid SS. He had many good fast rides in it. Do you want a link?

Hi Zaskar75 – yes sure. sorry for the late reply. Not too detailed a pic of the bike the best I have at the mo from yesterday’s spin.

I bought from CRC so got their generous discount and 10% off from BC membership too. I think they have sold out now, there were a few others around when I was looking.

    Good luck!

the 10% + / – 2 mph thing is balls (even outside Wales).

I received a ticket from a camera in a little Toyota Yaris courtesy car going 34 in a 30 (on a wide road that would usually be a 40)… on the way to pick up my Supra that was never ticketed.

    not that I’m bitter (much).

Saw the cube stereo in the list. I picked up a last years carbon 160 SL model for near this price. Awesome steed, full of bling carbon and top of the line kashima coated loveliness.

Climbs well, descends like a beast and makes me look better than I am.

I heard the same about the Capra’s being dogs to climb. I ordered mine after getting dicked around by Canyon.

Good luck – you can get some great bikes for this price point if you shop around.

    Thanks. Useful info.

Bought a Subaru legacy recently, nice. Decent spec for your money, not the best MPG but you know that going in with the 4WD. Sh*t load better than an SUV though. Coming from a people carrier for a few years it’s lovely driving a car that responds when you want it to and doesn’t float over every bump and corner. The kids get less car sick too.

Good engine and boot space if you need it too and with their 4*4 record you aren;t too likely to get stuck places. The outback is slightly higher if you need the ground clearance and don’t mind a bot more float in the corners.

Hi – I have the usual Sonos thingy connected to my wifi router then a speaker in the kitchen then a sonos connect box conencted to the sky box by a network cable and the sonos connect is also connected to the 5.1 using stereo audio cables. The Sky box is connected to the TV by HDMI and the TV to the 5.1 by digital audio.

I think this gives Sky TV digital output in 5.1 through the TV but audio from Sonos in stereo.

Not sure if this helps.. but there you go anyway 🙂

one of things with the ‘van types’ is that you can have insurance complications and sometime VAT implications on purchase.

I was looking at an MPV which is also available as a van version and the insurance company said that they didn’t insure vans even thought the guy selling it was insured by the same company as an MPV… weird. might just require persistence.

    Good luck.

We have a citroen C4 Grand Picasso.

    Good on price.

Does well on comfort, 3 proper back seats capable of taking ISOfix seats, decent driver convenience re: electric toys etc. Loads of space for bikes. 2 bonus back seats if needed.

    Bad bits:
    Rubbish mpg
    Terrible at towing
When (very) fully laden it feels like you need to will it up hills.

We have the 1.8 (ish) petrol manual one.

Joking aside, you’re hardly left standing in someone else’s piss. After they’ve finished washing/soaping/gelling/scrubbing with hot water pouring out of the shower head and all over the bath/shower tray, you’d be hard pushed to find any trace of piss.

If it’s purely down to feeling squeamish about wee wee, you’re probably just as likely to find every single other bodily excretion in the shower. So what are you really worried about?

yeah but the urinal in the pub has an auto flush too but I don’t fancy standing in that either.

    <edit> I checked – neither does the wife </edit>

Thanks guys. I spoke to the guy who has the bongo I was going to look at. Turns out he is already insured by Admiral under a car policy but for me they thought it was a van. Will give them another ring and Aviva too.

Personally I would never order from them again. I cancelled my strive order after 3 – 4 months.

It’s not just that they had problems, everyone can have problems, it’s that they didn’t communicate, and I heard about people waiting 4 months just for replacement shape-shifters (which of course you can’t buy anywhere else).

For me this appalling attitude to customer service has put me off the brand completely. You need someone in your corner when you have problems not someone in another land completely ignoring you.

I count myself lucky that I found this out before the bike was actually shipped. There are tons of good bikes out there these days and for my money, I just don’t need the grief.

    Good luck.

Not much help but I think I have the 6.1 (or something OEM on bike) but they have been fine. Not ‘tried’ to flex them but they have behaved well.

I still don’t understand how many of you are so happy knowingly standing around in each other p**s. Was this a marriage vow I missed?

Bonkers. this is more puzzling than fat bikes or single-speeders.

(disclaimer: some of my best friends ride fat bikes and single speeders)

Yes, they are fine. They do encourage bad habits a bit though. My youngest had one and used to like to listen to his slightly older bro’s and go no-handed waving all over the place (I only found out through a rear facing go-pro).

We did have a lot of fun with it though. Happy days.

lakes is awesome proper riding but if you are in N. Wales do take in Penmachno if you can, I prefer it to CYB personally.

Thought about the chariot when ours were little but didn’t think I’d get the benefit of the skiing and other add ons so went with the halfords special for about a ton.

It was great, we had twins took them all over the Surrey hills (before it was cool) ;o)

Also great now for dragging beach equipment and picnics around on holiday and think it will be useful to take take the kids on bike / camping trips too.

Some have funny bike attachments so make sure they fit your bike(s)

We have 15 minute stand-ups most days. Sometimes you have to stand-up for the whole entire thing #yesreally!

The coffee machine is also nearly 20 paces from some desks.
