    Ah, I thought that looked very familiar – snapped this one at Piazzetta Capri, Amalfi Coast Italy…

    I’ve used WTB Venture 700x50c which size up well, are fast on smooth terrain and grip ok until it gets more muddy…

    QUICK EDIT tanwalls are <£30 at CRC with current extra10 code.

    It’s not a LLS type frame, rather more of an all-rounder which is why I got mine – to nip around the local trails but also go bikepacking etc. It’s a similar vibe to the Sonder Broken Road.

    The large feels fine to me, with a fairly neutral position. I did need a longer Gusset Lofty seatpost as the Olsen Ribber was too short. Plenty of post in the frame now!

    I’ve also got a Mokihinui, running gears. I drilled out the cable stops to run a full length outer which was a minor inconvenience. Otherwise, it rides well for trails and bikepacking and looks cool / different to boot 😁

    I must admit I cancelled my order as the 2 months wait was too long for me. Ended up going for something a little different (and in stock!) – an Olsen Mokihinui 😁

    Mine have arrived, again plain brown box. Decals and two tokens loose in the box.

    I’m liking the grey decals, they’ll match the black/grey on my Sonder Evol nicely.

    Exactly what I’m doing :-)

    Cheers for the PSA – arrived this morning :-)

    Can anyone recommend a decent protection kit? Feel like I should look after them…

    32:18 oval on 29×2.6 here (Stooge) – local hills are short and sharp or more gradual.

    The front fork has loads of clearance, but the rear looks like a 2.6 will clear the frame as long as the tyres aren’t any higher/deeper(?) than the ones fitted.

    Thanks for that!

    Hi folks, might take advantage of the current offer but wondering about real world tyre clearance…

    Cheeky tags – sorry 😁

    @Tonolina

    @Travellinglight

    PX customer service suggest 2.4, but do any owners think you can go bigger and still clear mud? I’d like to use 2.6 really!

    Thanks

    The price of the Pace frame caught my eye – then realised it was exc. VAT…might be worth clarifying for those of us in the UK?

    Nice one, thanks. My better half has the softshell trousers and loves them at this time of year!

    Cycling UK are good in these situations – are you a member? Even if not, there may be help available.

    Stooges are great but a little tight at the rear for 3″ plus mud clearance, unless you can find a used Speedball. I have a Dirtbomb with 2.6’s and it’s cool. The MK5 is due to land very soon – there may be the odd frame spare…

    Disappointingly (but not surprisingly) CRC oversold the Pikes – none in my delivery…

    Awaiting a refund :-/

    @boxwithawindow – they are Duroc 40 (36 internal). The wheels were from Triton.

    @abingham
    – thanks! It has been christened with mud, cleans up well too…

    Oh, and if anyone wants some 29+ boost wheels I have some Mulefut 50SL on DT DSwiss 350’s in classifieds…!

    I’m running a set of Pace road rim brake wheels on the summer road bike. Happy with them – light, well finished/detailed and they have taken a few potholes without flinching. The freehub is a fair bit louder than a DT Swiss ratchet – not for the shy and retiring!

    I like the look of this. Could you please tell us what rear rim/tyre you’re running and an idea of clearance? Thanks

    I ride mine a lot – it does everything well enough and is lots of fun. My better half uses one as her main mtb. It’s amazing how much attention the bikes still get, it seems like they are a niche item once again…

    My experience (backed up by what I’ve read) is that GP5000’s are closer to the advertised widths than the older GP4000’s…

    I recently purchased the Carbonda CFO-606 version of the Pipedream fork – I wouldn’t really want to go larger than 45c to allow for mud. I used an EC44 lower assembly which adds about 10mm to the A-C, so not as drastic a difference to the handling.

    A few new guitars have appeared over the last few months….

    The HB TE-52 is weighty but fantastic value for money, it will get a few minor tweaks and maybe a shou sugi-ban treatment if my experiment works…

    The Schecter Nick Johnston traditional is very nice, a modern take on the strat which feels great to play.

    The Gretsch G5622T Streamliner is again really good value, lovely and bright sounding. A few tweaks needed to improve the tuning stability though.
