I bought it for the PS4 on Saturday as I wanted a good FPS. Great game, my only gripe is that after I put the disk in it *installed* 11GB and then had a 22GB patch to download!

I always say “Tickety boo” when my sister asks how I am.

Also I like ‘maynt’, contraction of ‘may not’.

Idiot on the East Midlands Today FB page: “We should send them back where they came from”.

    St Anns? the Meadows? Radford?

I did some work with a Christian group many moons ago giving soup and fags to the homeless. The ones we met were all locals with either drink or drug problems, or in one case an old lady who had run away from her violent husband.

The world is turning into a nasty bigoted place. 🙁

    @ aracer
I’m not sure – due to this thread I installed the greasemonkey script and added just two users to it. Not that I mind being challenged or asked to think in a different way but when someone does a gish-gallop then refuses to respond to polite (or not so polite) requests to back up his/her statements and the other just appears to come from another planet it was actually doing my head in. I’m here for fun, not for stress!

I use it to send texts and ask the odd question such as converting weights for cooking.

Perhaps it is more in tune with a Welsh accent? 🙂

I do like the ability to say “Make it so!” to yes/no questions.

I have ordered three different roasts from hasbean. Nice company but the coffee was really lightly roasted and was basically yuck. I actually took a coffee machine back to the shop because I thought it was broke, then I ground the beans for cafetiere and realised it was awful.

The blurb is nice from hasbean and his business model seems good, but the coffee, so far, has been poor.

Two of my sisters have hypothyroidism. They saw the doctor, were diagnosed pretty quickly and are now doing well.

@Jamba – look at the line under the one you mentioned. You know, the one mentioning “from EU” and “to EU”. That’s the “EU” related bit. You can tell because it has the letters “EU” next to it:

    From EU (bit hazy): 5615
    To EU: 41634

You may realise that 41634 (export to EU) is somewhat larger than 5615 (from EU).

The rest of the imports are from elsewhere.

Cant even keep the street lights lit after 12am round here for their £1200+ per year.

Good. A waste of money and more light pollution. Although that £1200 per year just for the lights is a bit excessive. I guess there’s another £1200 for the bins, another £1200 for the libaries, which they should keep open for 24 hours, lazy gits.

Wasn’t that partly because the politics in the US became so polarised the senate/whateveritis rejected just about all of his policies?

But agree there was much hype.

Watch out – I have a nephew who is 19 and is now the “Tory boy” equivalent of UKIP. Constantly going on about Johnny Foreigner.

Fortunately since he is an adult I’ve told him to shut up as I wasn’t interested in hearing his bilge. 🙂

    That’s 100% uncling for you.

Or, as the rest of us call them, the proof of the Dunning-Kreuger effect.

It should be easy. Just apply the Gove/Johnson mentality for Scottish Independence. It will mean that Scotland can be independent, have full control of the currency, get whatever they want from rUK as they buy a lot more than they sell so rUK will be desperate for a deal and roll over, give out free unicorns and depose the queen and replace her with a haggis.

And give a trillion pooonds to the Scottish NHS. Anything else is ‘Project Fear’ remember?

My inlaws. Hmm.. I don’t speak to the father in law any more. He has Alzheimer’s but he’s always been, basically, evil. Bullying his children, he’s 86 and they (MrAdamW and his sister) are still scared of him. I had enough one day and told him what I thought of him and walked out.

Mother in law is a nice lady though.

I feel for you OP. Just thinking about Brân leaving us makes me all teary-eyed. When the day comes I will be a complete physical wreck. The only thing that cheers me is that I’ve given him a good life so far and hopefully more to come.

Wait for a while then look to see if another different, but still fun, friend can be saved from a life of kennels and cages.

MrAdamW got a tick bite – the usual bullseye inflammation and went to the GP. The doc immediately said “lymes” and gave him some antibiotics and it was all fine.

In fact the doctor called in some other doctors and the nurse to take a peek and say “This is what lymes looks like”.

So if eire are made to align their tax laws with eu when UK comes out can we undercut it by 2% thereby saving apple millions and raising hundreds of millions for UK state.

Unlikely as we would be out of the EU which would mean a tariff would be slapped on, say 5%? IDS would be fine with it being 10% or so as WTO is fab in his book.

Wow. goobal actually is a somali word for ‘state‘.

I always liked “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes’ Smarter Brother”.

    “Elite Glass for any class,
    You bet your ass!”

And the kangaroo hop song is a bit catchy.

I was going to post the latest comic from Oglaf here[/url] but even though they are invariably silly and stuff I may get banhammered.

But it does involve a flying bum. 😀

Had one near the front door two years back, getting into the space between the brickwork. Not many wasps but constant. We just left them. As people said, they don’t return to the nest so when the cold weather came that was the end of it.

I have never read a full report or piece of work from her before onky seen her on tv, from the anti-semitism report I certainly don’t respect her. Her nomination for a peerage is a clear payment for agreeing to write the report

Just as well she’s not a mountain biker as there would be lawsuits flying around about pretty obvious libel…

But it is limited to a specific number of treatments, after that you have to go private.

It is still ‘lifestyle’ (the desire to have a child). It isn’t to cure a disease. In that case it is similar.

I guess contraception too should be banned based on this. Do people have to go private to get the pill?

    AdamW

I think there are too many things that could be defined as ‘lifestyle’.

An obvious contentious one is IVF. Should we pay for someone who, say, has a low sperm count to be able to produce offspring?

This whole argument smacks of the anti-cervical cancer argument a few years ago with the hand-wringers worried that giving girls a vaccine could cause promiscuity.

I’ve just had a quote for a Chesney Salisbury 5kw woodburner installation that I’m going with. It is well above £2k. It also has a new gas fire in for the front but it has been broken down into parts such as chimney lining, hire of cherry picker, hearth and the rest.

I get my new stove on 23rd August. At the same-ish time I’m going to buy myself a new espresso maker. And finally go tubeless on my Trek.

    I think you can’t get much STW-ish!

    Gooseberry fools are nice.
Toro Loco and the Californian Merlot are pretty good. Not too keen on their white wines though.
    Weetabix clone
Magnum washing up liquid is good.
    Caledonian cheese
    90p litre orange juice

Always take a look at the ‘super six’ cheap veg when you do your menus.
