I had to warranty a pair of pro ones due to cracking. Much happier with gp5000 tl

A little plea: I’m donating my old ekit to my wife’s primary school. Sadly, two of the Tom clamps are missing. These are surprisingly expensive even second hand. Do any kind drummers have any they could donate? Will pay postage. These are for an Alesis dm6, so standard 1.5″ rack and standard l rods. Nasty plasticy things are totally fine.

Update. I got a Roland TD17kv2 ekit. So essentially the quite expensive ekit route. Certainly the right decision and I’ve been playing it loads. It’s so much better than my old Alesis thing. @wordnumb I work for Intel but in a pretty small office, but with lots of space on the ground floor with few folk around. My boss (site lead) is very cool about this sort of thing. It’s great to get different people together with the band and we play at work functions (captive audience!)

I’m assuming she/you have a PC Vs Mac? The apple integration across iPad with the Apple pencil is great, but I suspect you have the former.

I’ve seen a few complaining threads on here recently so thought I’d give this a bump. My positive thing is as simple as messing about with my two boys in the pool on holiday. I say “boys”, but they’re 18 and 16. It’s the first time I’ve been able to play fight with them without holding back. So much fun and we were laughing so hard. Sometimes it’s the simple things.

You say that @MoreCashThanDash, but what ratio of expenditure between the C and the H? Do you go for quantity or quality? Over what time period should you spend. Makes you think? 🤔

I don’t know the OPs position, but on top of a similar approach to @blackhat, I pay into my (over 18) kids lifetime ISAs. This gives a 25% govt bonus on top contributions up to £4k per year. There are quite a few restrictions on this, but it’s a good bonus if you can work within them.

@Blazin-saddles, I’d you’re 47 now then you’ll have to wait until you’re 57 before you can get at your private pension. They changed the rules quite recently.

Very nice. I have a couple of PRS SE’s. Both single cuts. They’re great guitars.

Also liked and subscribed @cheekyget. tell him to keep going. Music is amazing and music people are mostly amazing.

I had an older Ambit2 watch and it was excellent. Great build quality and stability. I ended up being able to get a very good deal on a Garmin which has been ok, but maybe not quite so nice

Also please don’t feel intimidated by the “guitarists of Singletrack” thread. You _have_ to post pics if you get something

Maggie Rogers is not someone I’d heard of before. Really liking it.  Nailing the vocals.

We did have a robot arm(fixed base) within reach of a terminal attached to our AI training cluster.  Call me paranoid, but we decided to move the keyboard _just_ out of reach. 🤣

Thanks for the replies. It’s going to be a tricky one. Just got back from playing my acoustic set at work and it’s much nicer. Maybe I should just go into the office more?

OK…..I’m sooooo slack….and sorry to the diligent folk of this parish that submitted stems back when vbrakes were new.

    It’s here…..STWv2 (or is it now v3?)

I’m open to doing another one at some point. Chord sequence suggestions welcome. Real bass players, drummers and keyboardists (and anything else) also very welcome.

I didn’t have a great experience with pro one TLE. They wore quite quickly but then also cracked after a very short period. Wiggle warrantied them which was great. In the intervening period the GP5000 TL was released and I far prefer those.

@matt_outandabout I run a Robotics and AI group at Intel in Bucks. I don’t have open reqs for standard hiring right now but our graduate rotation scheme will take applicants (would be 18mo of rotations, one 6mo period in robotics, maybe another in video/vision). More importantly we have pretty good riding nearby and a very bike friendly & sporty site! 👍

I agree with riding the koppenberg the day before. However this week shows rain and gusts of 78kph on Friday!! I didn’t check if it was a taily though!

Did the 179 last year. Doing the 75 this year (due to injury in the run up).

EDIT: I do like how last year was 179 and this year is 177. Means I still retain some bragging rights over my buddies that are doing 177 this year (they did 144 last year)

Slight tweak to @cougars original reply.

“Working from home is part of something called Flexible Working which is a legal right.”

It is your legal right to _request_ flexible working and have it properly considered. Flexible working isn’t itself a legal right. Sorry to cougar if that’s what he meant?

I never used to have this problem but now have it frequently, so I suspect something’s changed (I appreciate this could be OS, browser etc, not necessarily with the site)
