Yep, loosen the strings and you can typically nudge it out.

I had various Lenovo T series and X series. Currently on an X1 which is pretty nice.  I do use the touch screen fwiw.

As cougar said. You can always not take the role if offered.  Going through the interview process could be very rewarding and help answer your questions/doubts.  Interviews are two way thing remember.

I was hesitant to go to management, but had an amazingly supportive manager and I think this is key.  Haven’t looked back. What’s nice is that I’ve offered the same support when I’ve promoted ICs to managers within my own org (karma).  The saftey net and knowing it’s a “two way door” are important.

How occasional is the business use, and can’t the company pay? Paying £100 a month for a taxi might even work out cheaper? (Factor in VED, insurance, fuel, MOT, etc)

I went 2 weeks ago. Download the app and click on the map for audio descriptions of the various bits. Is an amazing place.  You may need to have bought a ticket to activate the audio.

I see this as a half way between getting a guide and just strolling around (you’ll certainly miss some insight by just walking around)

Edit: Oh and my buddy from Sicily said they had loads of investment quite recently, so folk that didn’t go for 3+ years might have had a different infrastructure etc

What actually happened to the guy on the front of the GB TP squad?  I’m in Italy, so watching in Italian (which I don’t speak?)

I get very low fees on my workplace pension, so have a look at the total fees if you have an additional SIPP.  Mine is a standard life one and does allow certain flexibility. Old Scottish widows one (same employer) had pretty high fees.  These things at up over time.

Beers and drumming online with random musicians from all over the world.  I sound better when you all drink. ? Cheers.

Yes, slippery slope ahead.  See my story above. Started on a second hand kit, then upgraded to a nice Roland kit.  Playing loads, so have improved a lot. (Also really a guitarist and bassist, but competent enough on drums to now call myself a drummer)

I’ve been with my wife for 30 years and married for 24. I love her to bits. She actively encourages me to ride…… There’s got to be a catch…..She’s called Louise! 😮

Share save can be reasonably low risk if you sell the shares immediately as you’ve bought them. If you don’t do this, the shares can tank. If you’re lucky then the shares go up, but this would count as a capital gain. The tax free allowances for capital gains have been slashed recently, so far more folk will be getting caught. I do wonder if the success stories up there are taking CGT into account? 😉 As a last thing… With these schemes they’re typically taxed as income. As @5lab states, if they weren’t, they’d be a very handy loophole.

A MK2, MK3 and 2x MK4’s over here. Not really wow factor vehicles, just solid and fitted my needs really well

Is this thread a cheap copy of the one above? Does it have any warranty?

My missus is from Sudbury and we got married there. Wedding reception on the way out to long melford. (That’s not coastal though)

Yeah, I could do with the same thing and £75 is a bit spendy. I’m considering getting a new fork instead

Yeah, I’d talk to the shop about that. Doesn’t look right to me

Doing Liege Bastogne Liege instead this year. The extra 3 weeks of spring riding before the event will be nice.

You could look in the manual for the trainer to see if it lists a range. Unlikely it’ll say something different from the sticker, but pretty quick and easy to check

So I’m confused. Are eBikes worse than road bikes?

@IHN. I agree it’s not an investment, but one difference is that if Gluebag romped in and you won a ton of money… happy tax-free, days. If your “crypto-horse” came in, then from 24/25 HMRC will be expecting a slice (under CGT rules). On a side note, if your crypto tanks, you can offset as a capital loss.

I got mine today, quite different from my Sennheiser and Audio Technica. I think the hi mids aren’t as brash as the Sennheiser, but maybe they’re a bit too low there? Nice quality and the fit is excellent for me. Decent oomph for my kick when drumming. Will be keeping them.

I’m looking for a new pair for drumming with my electronic kit, so they need to block ambient noise (not talking ANC here, just can’t be open backed). How do these stack up? Imagine hitting plastic cymbals with a stick, you want to remove that kind of noise.

Edit: ordered some, can send back if no good, but still interested in the question above

Tried soaking mine in vinegar, doesn’t look like it’s gonna work despite it being great on my granite worktop. But useful thread, my dishwasher was set to “average” hardness (we’re in a hard water area)

100% agree with @hammy7272. Just some basic stuff could really make a difference. I remember having a really short chat with my two boys (16&18) about pensions and it totally clicked with them. That’s a good age to understand about this stuff imho.
