Never done anything like that before, but being a local event would be interesting, haven’t got a clue on how much things like this normally cost, though.

Just heard from Loco Tuning, who can do me a couple of reducers, so will go with them for the moment, but thanks for the suggestion.

How about the Merlin Stans 355 offfer?

    XT & 355 offer

15mm front, but I would have thought they could be converted to qr if needed?

Regarding ripping the drive out of the external drive, when I was setting up my NAS I thought about doing this, but doing a bit of research, apparently some of these drives have different control boards on, so don’t have standard SATA or IDE connectors.

Been out for a couple of hours, didn’t venture too far though as the snow was a bit to deep in places. Still had fun, though!

Also, is there different types of Pilates, like there is Yoga?

That’s what I want, not into the spiritual meditation side, I’d get bored with that!

I quite fancy giving something like this a go, and I keep seeing Pilates mentioned as well, is one better than the other?
Also, anyone know of good teachers in and around the Medway area?

Just before Christmas I set myself up with a Synology NAS (DS212j), started with a single 1tb drive, but will add another when the prices drop. I am running Sabnzbd and Sickbeard on it, so it automatically searches each day and downloads stuff I want, and I have paired it with a WDTV Live as well, so can watch stuff on my TV streamed straight from the NAS, really pleased with it!

^I mean weigh less, not more 🙄

    Worked it out!

We’ve got scales that can do volume as well as weight, so was weighing using them, and it’s only just dawned that 123ml of 5wt oil will weigh more than 123ml of water/milk/other cooking ingredient. I used the scales again to measure out my oil, then put the oil into a measuring jug, to find out I was actually trying to get around 160ml of oil into my fork!

    Thanks for the replies, everyone.

I’ve always used Garmin, you can plan your routes on the computer using a dedicated program and upload them to the sat-nav, which I don’t think you used to be able to do with the TomTom, not sure if that has changed now though. Garmin do a couple of biker specific units as well.

Did my rear bearings a couple of months ago, with help from this vid:

I did put the new bearings in the freezer as well, which helped getting them back in.

I was more worried about it not offering as much protection from the eyelet holes etc than standard rim tape.

Never had a problem on mine, either with the chain or heel rub.

Did he pay as a gift? If so, then I don’t think the buyer has any protection or any way of getting their money back, do they?

Around £75 a corner for Yokohama A021R on my Westfield, normally use around 1.5 sets a year doing 5000 miles. Something cheap for the tin top.

???? I didn’t say they damaged my forks! Just thought that the saw tooth design might be the cause of the judder, as the Clarks rotor I have are of a similar design. Wondered if the ‘pointy’ bits were somehow catching slightly due to the pad shape or something.

Might try the Vibe style then, no pointy bits!

I shall give them a go, what design are you all using, I like the look of the Flame, do these work okay?

Very happy with mine, never really used with its standard software, am running the Modaco software, so have the full Android experience. The screen viewing angles aren’t great, but it is half the price of an iPad.

Bit late replying, but I only ended paying the VAT as the forks were marked with $150 value!

I’ve got a set of forks on there way from the USA, in the next few days I should find out what import charges I have to pay so will let you know. I do know that you have to pay VAT on the purchase price inc the P&P, but I believe there will also be an import tax and a handling charge from whoever delivers them this end.

Been today, mostly frozen, a few small puddles and bits of mud, but not enough to worry about. Most of the singletrack is clear, but the fireroads are quite icy in places. Be careful on the bermed section though, as there is a big iced up puddle just as you come off one of the berms, caught my mate out!

I think there is, you can hear a rattle when riding it as well. By the bottom bush, do you mean the main swingarm bearing?

edit: bottom bush question answered whilst I was typing, thanks!

I'm using a Hope headset inc the Hope bolt and top cap with a SFN just fine in one bike, and a standard headset with a Heddoctor in another bike just fine as well.
