Good news – the DP investment seems now to be going ahead. Almost as if the last 24h were just posturing…  Oh well gave the Times and Telegraph a Saturday headline.

I’m sure the Sunday editions will be leading with this great news… Oh wait.

@theotherjonv – for the record – my sealion comment several pages back wasn’t aimed at you :)

I’ve had the Alpkit version for 12 months – Its a great bit of kit from my perspective but full disclosure – I’ve never had the Buffalo original so can’t comment which is ‘better’….

Hmmm – dipping into this thread just makes me think of sealions…

Really enjoyed it – definitely worth a look.

I’ve got a Babyliss Crew Cut which is great – providing you want a variant of a crew cut…

I haven’t taken any lumps out of my head and its probably paid for itself a 100 times over!

True Blue Travellers is also worth a look – a likeable couple converting vans and then travelling in them

Just checked in – good to see it’s still all the fault of the bastard centralists.

Came on to suggest HeavyD – Northwind beat me to it. It also crosses over into the Cero Gordo Ghost Town mentioned above.

Ryan Van Duzer is always worth a watch too – some great bike packing and running stuff from a really enthusiastic guy!

It’s America. They’ll be gunshots in the vicinity of virtually everyone pretty much all of the time…

On a more serious note – it’ll certainly play well to Trumps audience.

Weird – I didn’t really read anyone apologising for Clarkson.

I have spotted a bit of virtue signalling though…

Just checked the Velogames STW league – I’ll be taking a screen shot before all my scoring riders randomly catch Covid…

Daily mail headline is entertaining though – implies the social workers are interfering again…

Just imagine the outrage if they hadn’t been in touch with the lovely middle class Kirsty.

Although I can’t help thinking she could have potentially avoided all this if she hadn’t been humble bragging all over Facebook ?

EDIT – ? was of course a smiley.

Another Lux Trail here – great bike for where I ride (the Lakes).

Apparently the new generation are even better (or slacker at least…). Well worth a look from a value perspective too.

    Thanks Artist!

I’m normally centralist scum on here. Glad to know I’m back in the realms of being a proper lefty again.

I have a bad feeling the labour councillor could be in a lot of trouble here – it was a properly bloody stupid thing to say in public and plays right into Farage’s hands.

‘Justice’ will need to be seen to be done.

I’ve ended up with a mix of 12V and 18V Bosch Pro stuff which seems good but also worth noting that the 12V batteries work with cordless Dremel’s (Dremel and Bosch are same company).

    BB92 on my road bike.

The only way I stopped it creaking like a bastard was a C-Bear ceramic bearings and Loctite 641 on the cups in the (aluminium) frame.

Its been great since though ?

EDIT  – FFS – the question mark was a smiley face…

BBC finally trying to give a little balance to the ‘doom scrolling’: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czx66dkx3wlo

Scum be scum but they’re not the majority despite what Facebook says.

I reckon its the centralists to blame – they **** everything up.

I don’t think we aired ours at all…

It was just from Dunelm Mill so nothing incredibly fancy. One the best things we’ve ever bought by the way – absolutely fantastic winter and summer.

I just double-checked with Mrs AD and she can’t remember it ever having an odour either.

Snoop Dogg to carry Olympic flame – admittedly just as part of the relay but what the heck!

Suella is worried the tories will become ‘centralist cranks’.

At she has found a common cause with some on here ???

Centralists are why we can’t have nice things.

EDIT – the random question marks were smiley faces when I typed the post…

My favourite was the Singletrack 100 cover by Jo Burt. I was gutted when I dropped that at work!!!

@sniff – that Topanga was my first mountain bike!  I loved the purple/black colour and seem to remember it came with the old ‘double button’ rapid-fire shifters and biopace chainrings!

    Thanks for posting that!

I’ve still got my Bontrager Race OR – XTR/Hope/Pace RC39. Its a great bike but my Canyon Lux with SLX is objectively better!

The Bontrager is actually still a great climber on tight switchbacks but going down…

But I do tend to keep stuff – I still drive a 53 plate Cooper S – I’ve had that since new too.

I’m glad the ‘MSM’ (well Sky news) have picked up on the young conservative nazi fanboy’s (and possibly girls) at Warwick Uni.

With little bit of luck it’ll at least bugger up their nascent political careers.

My local tory incumbent (Jenkinson) has resorted to playing the victim card!

Apparently some labour canvassers referred to his weight – poor lad has been bigger all his life and now the evil lefties are calling him a fatty.

I’m filing this under his previous claim of Workington drug dealers swapping food vouchers for weed during Covid.

He also avoids hustings because he can’t be sure of his safety after threats from ‘lefties’.

@jp-t853 I’m Workington born and bred :) so I remember Dale well.

Marcus was out in the pissing rain in Cockermouth on Saturday at a family fun day. All credit there :)

‘ol Kenky was probably looking for more people to block on Facebook 😂

Just had a Labour person round – first canvasser for any party. Reassured her labour has my vote.

Boundaries have changed here (Penrith and Solway) so it isn’t a done deal for labour. The tory candidate (Jenkinson) is particularly odious – ex-UKIP with all the baggage that entails – however he might still sneak it.

Realising how much quicker and effortless my road bike is after lots of riding my cross bike. It just ‘felt’ great – definitely made me smile.

Still love the cross bike and mountain bike though.

I’m waiting for my mp (Jenkinson) to defect to Reform. Odious **** is ex-UKIP anyway.

As it stands it looks like even the gerrymandering to create Penrith and Solway won’t save him.
