    ^I agree also.

You can easily manage Penmachno and Marin in a day with a reasonably early start. Or do Penmachno then have a play at Llandegla on the way back as a contrast, with something to eat in the cafe there.
    You don't need a map.

Why has Israel been allowed nuclear weapons for decades yet Iran cant have its own for self-defence?

the nuclear option is not one normally catalogued under ‘self defence’ these days. Utilisation of it to deter an invasion force may be counter productive…

I just wish certain sections of the media would give Iran some space.

as much space as the trendy lefty Guardian you rail against does?

I thought I’d underline that line, coming from a Christian. []

    very droll. 😳

Because the ultimate goal of these religions is to have everyone “under their wing” whether we like it or not.

see, that seems to be a common misconception. Not sure where you get the idea that Christianity supports conscription.

    Organised religion is anti-fun

From the tone of some of the posters on this thread there’s not much room for fun in the atheist world either..

so, Darrell et al, I go to church on Sundays, have a belief in the Christian God, mind my own business about it, have a responsible job in the public sector, a couple of science based degrees and accept the theory of evolution rather than being a creationist, and you want to equate me with somebody who touches up little girls?

Obviously no parents amongst you, or else you have a misplaced sense of the absurd. Vomit inducing, really. You’re the one preaching hatred, not me.

Sharki, that’s probably not going to be very good for you at all if I understand you correctly.

What I’m saying is that riding a heavy bike doesn’t encourage people to try their hardest- if your on a light bike it’s like driving a sports car- the bike encourages you to try. In a similar way that having a big bike encourages you to push harder downhill, but the terrain may be ridable equally quickly on Spark, fro example.

How can this stuff be the best? Its not even the most expensive.
And whats with the colors- what man wants to have a pink headset for christs sake. And that rasta one. who dreamed that up. Those are potheads colors. No real enginneer would ever let that out the door. I bet there really a bunch of stoners and wasterz sitting around in a halusinagenic daze in a smoke filled room putting stickers on commie made stuff laughing at the suckrs that buy them and keep there crack pipes filld.

Majority of USC shops are being sold back to another company in the current owners investment vehicle. Saves jobs, wipes out the debt, leaves the creditors pretty much in the lurch. Owning company gets shot of the underperformers, and pretty much gets to start again from a base where the’ve kept the moneymakers.

Morally right or wrong, a difficult call to make.

Mike, 7-9am on TMF, if you’ve got it. 21 on freeview for us. Go Diego (Dora’s animal rescuer cousin), Dora (kids’ll be speaking spanish in no time), Lazytown and Backyardigans.

mm, our lounge is set up permanently as an animal rescue centre. The kids know of animals I’d not heard of til I was a teen. And they’re not just ‘whales’ or ‘butterflies’ they’re ‘humpback whales’, or ‘blue morpho butterflies’.
Hell, when it’s tv time, they’d rather watch diego or dora or backyardigans on high rotation on dvd or digibox than what’s actually on the tv.

Backyardigans is my favourite though- some of the music is cracking, as well as the inventiveness of the scenarios..

    from the telegraph:
Apparently their first reaction was to comment on the untidy and unkempt state of the house. Then they are heard to comment on seeing Mr Baker and allegedly saying that it was not worth bothering to try to carry out resuscitation to try to save him. They then are heard discussing what to tell ambulance control and allegedly decide to say that he was already dead when they arrived

what a suprise, the government/royal family are bandwagon jumpers

    Why are they bandwagon jumpers?
Firstly, cycling is a 5 minute wonder as a hit sport as far as the vast majority of the population is concerned. Secondly, isn’t the honours system used to recognise stuff like this normally? Would you be whining about the lack of recognition received if there had been none?

Since we’ve got the honours system, we might as well use it.

obviously nobody on here who’s had their own business fail then. Why would you wish for somebody else’s to go bust, witht eh associated job losses and pain. Selfish ****.

Don’t use ’em if you don’t want,

I’d like to see the ‘last poster’ column replaced by the name of the thread originator though, as per the old forum. Makes it easier to pick what you want to read.

can vouch for the quality of the togz stuff- both ours use it, best thing since sliced bread, almost- although we bought the unlined outfits, being semi-southerners, we thought we’d get more use from them if we could layer as necessary. Manufacturing quality and materials used looks good-taped seams, fabrics seems pretty breathable, plenty of adjustability, no looks of revulsion from peers/other parents etc.
