Why don't you just go to Gap, great jeans, hard wearing, many different cuts etc to cope with cycling types (sml waist/lge thighs).

I had mine done on the NHS in 2004, in out with a cup of tea in about 30-40 mins. Just remember y fronts for extra support for the 1st week after procedure and jogging pants to leave the surgery, funnily enough the clinic I had mine done was in Balls Road.

Just handed back wife's audi in November, had some scratches done at paint shop cost £60 for both bumpers, however they picked out some door dings and scratches but didn't ask for any money as long as they where under 1.5 inches. Did have to pay £128 for damaged alloys as this was considered beyond reasonable wear & tear. Hope this helps!

Did ITF Tae Kwon do for years, which is different to WTF Tae Kwon Do, then studied Wing Chun which is a close combat form, my young boy does Wu Shu Kung Fu which is very acrobatic & Jumpy form. You basicallly need to find the art form suited to your movement and physique and strength, also find something you enjoy and stick with it.

Ok I get it! I'm going to ask Santa for some 661 Kyle Straits, maybe some flattie's or is that pushing it? I promise I'll ride even harder…. 😈 But should I wear them on the Whinlatter Enduro, which I'm hoping to ride pretty quick?

You could try this company to have them proffessionally cleaned, W.E.Franklin (Sheffield) Ltd, +44 (0) 114 268 6161
    http://www.franklinsgroup.co.uk
    The only company recommended by Rab or this is how they say to do it yourself;
RAB down products can be home cleaned, however this is a difficult and time consuming job.

Please give it careful consideration before starting
    Washing items yourself.

•Carefully hand-wash the item in warm water
(40°C) with a soap solution, NOT DETERGENT.

•Rinse thoroughly, making sure there is no soap residue present within the product.

•Squeeze out all excess water gently with your hands and transfer item with care to a washing machine. A delicate ‘spin’ programme is recommended.

•If you are cleaning a box walled garment or sleeping bag, ensure that the weight of the item is supported by ‘cradling’ in a bath towel or similar. Failure to do so may result in damage to the down compartments.

•Immediate tumble drying should commence in a commercial dryer on a ‘cool’ setting. Check the item periodically and repeatedly turn inside out. The down contained within the baffling may require further manipulation in order to restore the loft.

•Avoid the temptation to remove the item from the dryer too soon. Although the outer fabrics may feel dry and warm to the touch; down contained within the baffling can still be clumped because of moisture.

•The drying process can take several hours. When finished it is advisable to store uncompressed in a dry, cool place.

•Airing should continue for two days before use.

So you chin yourself then go out and buy some knee pads – I can see the logic in that.

Was hoping they would act like some type of comfort blanket

Thanks for the advice Onzadog, don't normal stretch before the weekend ride as I commute everyday so will give it a go! I did take 1 spacer out already, so maybe I've lowered the front end to much will put it back. I'll also check what the difference is in bike lenghts.

wwaswas – lol! classic picture there exactly the type of tyres we used, though not to good on tarmac.

    Did your Sealskinz socks work?

No they are C*@p as I've got 2 small holes in each big toe.

Just for the record all you H&S guru's, it was standing water obviously!
Both polarisandy and myself have enough outdoor/instructor/medical/rescue qualifications to open a mounteering/mountainbike/rescue centre, let alone assess a lake that has spilled slightly onto the road. 😉

Hey, if you can't stand the heat then get out the kitchen! What nonesense surely people will ride to the level they can, if not they'll fall off, hurt themselves etc. But you have to be responsible for your own risk and actions, most adrenalin sports are filled with some sort of calculated risk, that's where the fun is!

Border terrier's make great running dogs, as they were bred for hunting fox's and would run along side horses all day long. There also tuff little feckers, just ask any vet!If you train them they will run along side the bike and not cut across in front of you like some stupid dogs, also small enough to put in specially adapted rucksack whilst on road sections.

You will need at least a 5mm wetsuit if your going surfing in winter and boots, gloves, possibly a hood depending how tuff your are, if your not going to take a hood then definately think about earplugs. Board wise if your just learning and can ride basic waves then go for a mini mal or a 7'8" being the smallest unless you can slash (cutback), throwing tail (sliding the tail in a turn) etc, etc you'll need a smaller board 6'8" to a 7'2". Good luck hope you get amped!
