I think we may have one too, although I reckon there’s quite a bit of terrier in there as well. He definitely has the lazy whippet gene as its difficult to get him out in cold wet weather but once he’s out he loves it. He also loves to sleep. Definitely intelligent and needs stimulation but he’s a good friendly dog. He barks at our neighbours cat from a distance but is actually quite wary of it face to face.

I moved to Uppermill in October so am in a similar situation. Been riding a couple of times with a group of locals but some of the stuff they do is a bit techy for me at the moment especially given the mud/ice. I’m hoping to build up the skills over the summer. I’d be happy to show you some of the less gnarly stuff i’ve discovered so far. Tried to ride today but everywhere is covered in sheet ice. Drop me a message.

Olympus Pen EP1 here. Hardly ever touch my Nikon DSLR. love it! Avoid the plastic shell EP-L if you want full metal case. I bet the internals are very similar though. Mine has survives two years of riding in a Camelbak (protected by small Lowepro case). Next investment is the new Olympus fast prime lense.

Mirror less is definitely the future for serious amateurs/semi pro.

I stayed here a few summers back. It’s in the middle of Mabie. As close to wild camping as it gets with the luxury of compost loos and showers. They had a hog roast on the go on the Saturday night as well. Great place.
