    My personal experience echoes junkyards.
I work in a biggish organisation. The thing that pisses the people who seek me out to moan about us (I am known as being one of those ultra fit people who can ride a.bike more than 300 yards) is Primary position. They don’t care. Just get out of the way…….

The cross jersey is a nice thing. Perfect for commuting in current temps.
I would baulk at 130 quid for a polyester top BUT, Imo the rapha poly jerseys actually fit better and feel nicer than the sportwool ones.

Yes, thought exactly the same thing when I looked at the forecast earlier. Mudguards are fitted…

Arsenal fan here. Starting the season optimistic (again) hoping that by the time the 2016 Road Race Season starts in earnest – think Paris Nice – we’ll still be fighting for silverwear.

As steve-g says, my 30 years of supporting the Arse is now confined to tv only. The cash in my pocket will be going to Burton Albion who will be comfortable in league 1. looking for a top half of the table finish.

No pics to post, but, 26″ wheeled salsa a la carte singlespeed. Bonty street tyres.
Makes for 36 minute 10 mile commute. Had a couple of roadies sit on for about 3 miles the other week. Until the road went down, then they ripped past me….

What the doctor said. Vittoria pit stop is most excellent. Glueing tubs is a really satisfying job. You need plenty of ventilation, as I discovered when doing it in a small space once!

I’ve bought a bag from them this year and found it really straight forward , no hassle. great bag too. I’d buy direct again.

I’ve got a discount code that I’ve not used, I think for 15% off (deep in my emails at home). First to email me can have it, I assume it hasn’t expired – but it might have.

Expect to have your brain tell you that what you are doing is completely stupid and you’ll never do it again because everything hurts. Then, look at the people around you who look worse than you feel and realise its actually a load of fun

What would an upper height limit be. At 6 foot 2 I’m itching, but am thinking it might come up a bit small.

    What do you reckon Jonestown?

If anyone knows of a uk seller of nest cutlery I’d be grateful.

    Rrd, it all depends.
    *troll mode on*
If you want to pretend you’re froome, contador, Wiggins, etc then yep. Carbons where its at.
If you want a well designed and made bike for the kind of riding most people do then other materials are perhaps better.

Its been said before though, its not the material (or was it, its not about the bike??)

Am happy to offer advice (email in profile) from an admissions/apppeals perspective. Fwiw, I spent Monday afternoon re wording our policy surrounding movement into catchment.

Your LA name and the schools names would be helpful, also the children’s ncy.

Lol at ‘we ride on Wednesday (so you can **** off )

It makes us Leicester folk look unhelpful, inflexible and mardy!

You can join me on my commute home from just outside of the city to further away from the city.

Seriously though. I do know a sky ride leader near the city centre who might be interested.

Am I being all ‘poverty spec’ by saying I use an Edwin jagger De86. Its a lovely weighted razor.
Blades are feather, tried countless sample packs, but no blade glides as well and cuts as well as feather. Its interesting reading comments above about preferred brands. How much tech goes into a blade? Ive used ones before where ive ended up looking like ive been glassed…
Don’t use any anti-bleeding technology. Good Xmas present idea, cheers sadexpunk.
Soap by Dr Harris, lasts forever, but I think I prefer cream.
Finally, brush also by Edwin jagger. Badger, not the best hair. Still works though.

    I’d echo what mboy said.
I used to dj (vinyl – not selling….) hip hop and jazz funk. Accepting that I was never going to be technically proficient enough to be a scratch mix dj I could concentrate on picking a wide enough choice of toons that I had a set list but could adapt to the crowd and the mood of the evening.the technical side ain’t hard, assuming you can count.
Adding flavour is the tough bit.
Simple really but I’ve heard enough dj’s who wouldn’t deviate from their playlist and left the dance floor flat.

I’d happily give up my job, claim maximum state benefits. Show my children the benefit of being a stay at home unit.

Then, when they’re both at school, look for a 10 am til 2pm job (that I can cycle to) so I don’t have to burden anyone with my children at any point.

In fact, some of you guys put such a good argument across, I’m going to home educate them….

What does the world look like from up there?

Daffy, I feel your pain. Our nursery has a formula so complicated I doubt Stephen hawkin could work it out. I work for a local authority and know people in early years. Had a chat. They said they know its an issue with that particular provider, but, “what can you do”….i am sure we were not getting 15 hours free, but 15 hours at a slightly reduces rate.

AA v1 also went to a church run playgroup. They openly had 2 rates, one for cash and a higher rate if using Feee

Babies are shite. That’s some kind of fact.
    I didn’t bond with aa v2. But now she’s almost 3 and she’s GREAT.
Its a tough time for everyone, baby is in the cold hard world, parents dealing with a new thing that has changed their (selfish) lives forever.
Tiredness, stress and everything else that still needs attending to drags you down. It did me anyway.
Before you know it though, junior will be riding bikes off road, doing high fives and making you smile and laugh in ways you never knew possible.
