Oh yeah I’m 100% certain its my technique that’s wrong other wise they wouldn’t sell the tyre if it plainly didn’t work at all for anyone!

Bit of a viscous circle – no confidence to push myself thus no increase in technique and the result is me shitting myself every tight berm or at the sight of a pine cone. Try fitting a longer stem.

Ruled out of sports for May. Back in June, don’t think I’ll be at the Johnny Marr gig

    That race was mental!

I woulda done better if I’d not crashed in the typical You’ve Been Framed over-the-bars stylee.

Not sure 30+mph downhill trails should be millimetres from a fence 😯
(That’s not where I crashed though.)

Still, attempted a wheelie over the finish line

Entered to race in the Gorrick 100 on Sunday and was a bit worried.

Oh and thanks WCA for sending that email like you said.

The orange filing cabinet in the middle.

Curved tubes just look like you’ve crashed and bent it

Could never not have a triple chainset.
Or at least not a chainset w/out a 42t+ chainring.

Just would be so slow on the flat bits, plus I have to ride roads to get off-road.

Did a 12min lap in a BMW X5 3.0d. There was traffic and waved yellows though.
Car wasn’t the quickest out there but it was great over the kerbs 😀

    Independent powder coaters are available….

If you’re REALLY that bothered. Why should I have to? For the prices of some forks you can buy whole frames/bikes that come in different colours.
Imagine if all car manufacturers decided to just make cars in black or white. Why do mountain bikers put up with this?

Anyway, Im quite happy for my bike to not stand out and say “look at me, ive got more money than sense, so have bought Fox 34s in Magenta, stop me and rob me”.

If all Fox, RockShox and Manitou forks were magenta then you’re argument would be invalid.
I’m happy you’re happy your forks came in a colour you like. I want that happiness too, but all I can choose is black or white seemingly.

Besides, your bike is not as sexy as this

Ah, when bikes used to be sexy

wowza, how high is the rise on those bars!
    60mm
Don’t see the point of a low riser bar. I wanted actual rise.

    All hail the sun!

Why can’t you buy a whole new bike?

£300 buys you a hell of a lot more bike than it did 20 years ago (I’ve had 2 £300 Carreras, one from 1990 and one from 2009 )

Well that’s your fault for buying Carreras.
A mid 90s GT Talera at £300 back then kicks the arse of any £300 bike today.

When I used to race Gorricks on my rigid bike in the early 2000s I would never finish last and I’m rubbish.

What I would like is for these niche-y steel frame companies to make a matching curved (thus self-centering) rigid fork. It also adds to the compliance vs. all these straight blade ones you can only get now.
