    ITA (0) IRE (1) : IRE by 10-15
    WAL (1) ENG (1) : WAL by 3-6
    FRA (1) SCO (0) : FRA by 15-20

I have put a tenner on Wales  to win at 5-2.
If England win, well its cost me 10quid. Big deal.
If we lose I’ll get 35quid back to mop up my tears. Happy days.

In my experience paypal is far from safe. If they decide, they can take the money back when they like and they are not even a Uk bank so you get v little come back. BACS all the way.

Don’t be daft, you lot will be enjoying a wee dram tonight after Farrell finally gets a red and Wales squeak a win. Your weekend is well set.

if they have that power (and find out they can wield it without public consequences) then what’s to stop them wielding it again? Against whom?

    This 100%.
Eg there was talk of starving the Irish during brexit negotiations, Priti Patel – https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/brexiteer-blasted-over-threat-to-starve-ireland-tjp7k76mq.

Lots of other people on FB and forums asked why we let the Irish “stay” here.
Many UK citizens came from Ireland or parents, grandparents came from Ireland. All eligible for Irish Cit.
With populism on the rise, it makes you wonder how fast things could change here.

One of our group has a 2020 giant that came with 500w battery, giant have recently released an 800w battery that is backwards compatible that he has fitted to his bike. It is bigger than all their current as supplied bike batteries. So I am assuming they will keep the same battery tech and connections for a while.

Like this decision though or looking for loopholes in the NI-Brexit saga it just shows the rest of the world not to trust us.
She was born here and our problem..

So much this, I just hope if we ever get rid of these arseholes that the rest of the world can see past one administration and welcome another.
I feel like we have permanently tarnished brand Britain though.

The law was changed to deal with Abu Hamza I think, and the govts failure to deal with him properly is the source of all the anti EHRC and general anti human rights rhetoric every since. I think we can blame T May for that.

Has anyone suggested that the Home Secretary did not act within statute? The very fact that it is all perfectly legal under UK law (more questionable under international law) actually makes it even more unacceptable for most reasonable people, not better, as you seem to think.

Exactly, the point is the govt changed the law so they could do this, so of course it is “legal”.

With the recent revelations, esp the involvement of the Canadians, I am even more repulsed by the outcome now.
The US govt thinks we are arseholes for doing this, not just morally, but also because we push the problem we have created elsewhere. It is seen as shirking our responsibilities.
    Effen Torys. Bunch of arses.

A close game IMO. England to…. win.

Well I think Wales were a much bigger handful for Scotland than we were. Lets hope we are better and they are worse…

You realise when they get this sorted out, Wales will hammer England now?
Its just a forgone conclusion at this stage.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I have the challenge of selling a motocross bike without inviting loads of scrotes to my house, or being ripped off in a rainy carpark.

I meet them in the foyer of the copshop. In fact one chap asked the pigpen reception to check the docs and my details, which they nicely did.
Once motorbike buyer put the phone down when I told him I wanted to meet him in Charles Cross Police Station in Plymouth to sell him my GSXR400. Bullet Dodged.

For me the problem here is twofold:

    1) Any job you do after a while loses its charm, work is dull. So be aware of that.
    2) Any job any of us do can be undermined by morals, all our jobs have a bad effect on someone somewhere, that’s just life.

Thanks for a detailed and informative reply. Amazing the font of knowledge on here. This answer alone is almost enough to make me buy a subscription to STW.
However if I buy a sub then STW has all my identity data and I can’t have that…

I read that England would win 5 points by default. That would be very boring. We should run the u21s or the women instead.

I feel weird about this as I think this question is pushed by supermarkets to make some kind of moral imperative to return trolleys, thereby saving them money on staffing to retrieve them.
Supermarkets exist to rinse you of cash.
If you are aware of both of these things, then you deliberately do not return the trolleys.

    AA – Yes it does

So in that case, I call no try and I’m smarter than all of you added together so we better alert the authorities.

TJ – that is what I have been saying all month, England are crap. Lucky to beat Italy.  I am the first to argue that a lot of match stats mean not much. EG Full backs that counter attack always look like they make a lot of meters  but running from behind the 22 to the half way match 4 times a game can make you look awesome on paper, but it means naff all if you don’t break the gain line (eg Steward, and Capuozzo to a degree).
So that tackle count thing may or may not be meaningful.
Eg what counts as a missed tackle. Look at VDM, he couldn’t beat anything like the defenders vs Wales on Sat, he bounced off plenty but mostly did not make it past them, do they count as missed tackles? I am not sure because the way he bounces off them and goes back looking for a softer person to hit, even the best defenders can’t complete those tackles.
However – both Italy’s tries were due to easily pluggable holes in Englands defence. So the stats fit my confirmation bias. They suck.

Changing the subject, I saw this on reddit. Amused me.

There is a non-zero chance Scotland could finish the 6N at 4th in world rankings from rugbyunion

Apols I agrees with bruce wee, but actually had no idea what was in the video.
    I’ve watched in now.
FFS thats in touch all day long.
Plus he puts the ball down on the touch line at the same time as over the try line. Doesn’t that count as in touch?

Anyway, thats rugby, decision made, move on. Nobody is perfect.

If it’s so close we’re discussing the definition of ‘ground’ just award the try and get on with the game.

    I agree.

hold on now, is the Chile game at altitude?

    ha ha.

    Actually, though, is it?

Yeah he had Capuozzos number a few times.

Bummer that Italy did not have  a complete game, at times their attack was awesome, however England did leave some gaping holes in defence. Both Italian tries should have been stopped, poor show from England on that front. I cant see England threatening anyone else this year.

Scotland looked way less flashy against a much better opposition, however that just made them step it up. They played a level up from last week.

A much better game to watch, and Wales should take some comfort, despite the scoreline they looked good in so many areas.

Smith seems a bit too James Hook for me, always looks to make the break himself rather than put others into space like a Finn Russell type…having said that I have t seen that much of him.

I think that is bang on,  his club performances are punctuated by solo efforts.

    Smith dropped Faz to 10

What do you think of that AA?
I think Smith could be amazing. Not sure he works with Farrell, he looks much better for his club (don’t they all) . Hmmmm…
Problem is people will read to much in to a positive result, if we get one.

Wales effort against Ireland was really quite good. Dropping Falateau based on last week is a good idea, however he can put in a shift every now and then, so you need to hope this weekend isn’t that.
