I’ve got one, and although not a replacement for a full face I do think that for many more minor offs on XC rides it will protect the face as it should.

Anyone know the URL for Action Sports, I think may just have to get one of these for myself.

How about a Norco Fluid, I saw a 2010 model in Evans last week with a £1000 off.

I couldn’t be happier with my 2009 Fluid LT 2.

I have a set on my 2009 Norco Fluid LT and recently sent them off to Windwave as the lock-out was no longer working.
They’ve upgraded the forks to coil so although I’ve lost the travel they do feel much plusher.

I would not hesitate to by Marzocchi again following their service though. I sent the forks Tues, they phoned me on the Wed to discuss the work/solution as requested, and I had them back on the Thurs. I feel they couldn’t have done more, A+++ to the boys at Windwave.

I believe the 2011 are now being offered with a 3 year warranty, how can you go wrong?

The new Ragley Bagger available from March 25th perhaps?

I’m seriously tempted by one of those myself.

The reason you are not allowed to take pictures in a casino DezB is that they are protecting the privacy of the players.

There will be a huge amount of them that wouldn’t want the other half, boss, bank manager, parents etc to know they are there.

If you are talking tomorrow morning that flight may not happen. Currently snowing in Reading and Basingstoke and Gatwick/Surrey areas been getting it much worse than there.

Their courier service is dire too!!
I missed a delivery from their courier so went down the next day to the depot. There I was told they needed another 24hours to find my package as I hadn’t informed them I was coming!
(The 4 guys standing outside smoking and the virtually empty warehouse that I could see in to, told me they just couldn’t be arsed.)

Wouldn’t ever use them again because of this.

Workstand is coming from my brother, skills course voucher with Jedi from my mother, and I think the girlfriend has got me a fox shirt or some googles but not sure which.

Would I want anything non bike related… Not really.

Well my brother last week when it was bad further south was doing voluntary work by going out to places normal cars couldn’t get to, so that elderly etc could make hospital appointments they had waited months for.
Was the first time he had ever really used the car in anger, but normally it wouldn’t be used off-road.
He just saw an appeal on the news and called the helpline.

Look on hackintosh forum, a lot of reading but the dev team will have a way. They are the ones who have “hacked” every version so far, and then you have cheeky barstewards on the street that charge you to unlock when their software is free.

Does your son already have a mobile with a data package?

Depending on the model of phone he has you may be able to use that as a modem for no charge at all. (Only mention it as so many people are unaware of this.)

I feel your pain, I hate it there.
Go in, stay and hour or so at get out early so you can take the bike out tomorrow.
That way it doesn’t have to affect your whole weekend too much.

Is there likey to be any armour there? I am particulary interested in the 661 vapour suit as it looks like it has the best spine protection, but would like to be able to try it for size etc?

I was in a similar situation earlier in the year, and one of my housemates looked after me as I didn’t have any family that could.
She made me breakfast before leaving for work, left me lunch, fluids, snacks for during the day; and cooked me dinner when she came home.
I am incredibly grateful for everything she did, but I have to say with all the drugs I was on I didn’t really need someone there for the majority of the time as I was very out of it.
Just a suggestion and obviously you’d need to discuss with the other half, but maybe you could go in to work for a few hours or do some from home.
(I completely understand if you wouldn’t want to, but having been through it-and it was the worst 2 months of my life- it got to the point where I just wanted to be by myself because nothing anyone did was helping.)
Obviously that could get some money coming in if it is a worry, but it is only a suggestion.
Wishing you all the best, and for your other half I can recommend the use of Ice packs and Tenz machines.

Ah you are doing 12 hour shifts!
In that case it is going to be more difficult to get out when you are working, but the up side is the extra days off you get.

Trick there is no force yourself to get up at about 12 the first day you have off, it will help knock your body clock back the right way so you can make the most of your days off.
If you don’t do it you’d best order yourself some torches as you’ll be wide awake at 3am so you might as well get a ride in then 😉

The difficult thing is you are doing a week on then a week off. You would be far better off doing a week of each.
I worked nights for 15 years, to be honest I think it depends what time you finish as to how bad it is.
Look at it like this, if you are finishing at 6 or 7 why not go out for a ride then. It’s light, and if you were working a 9-5 you wouldn’t go straight to bed after work. If you are finishing more like 3/4 you might be better getting straight to bed and making the effort to get up at lunchtime.
The advantage of working nights is that if you make the effort you have alot of useable daylight hours. It’s does require effort though, and may take a couple of months to get used to.

Have to admit to knowing almost nothing about the internals of forks, but with everything I have read about these 55’s I don’t have much faith in them. Came with the bike, and don’t really want to be spending money on them if they do go.

I’ve got some 55 ATA’s that need to go in as the Lockout isn’t working and can be a bit clunky. Still getting full travel though, and they should be under warranty as the are off a 2009 bike purchased in Feb this year.
I have a feeling it may be the ATA cartridge on those as detailed in many of the threads on here; it’ll be interesting to see what the response is from Windwave.

I’d be interested to know how effective those “Bender Fenders” are, please post feedback once you’ve tried it out.

If you don’t mind travelling 20mins to Pangbourne I believe Mountain High organise some, or 30 mins down the road you have Swinley at your disposal.

Managed about 3 hours in the afternoon sun in Swinley, mostly stuck to the singletrack.

I'll speak to my brother for you as he lives in Falmouth. (He is in to the VW scene and custom builds his own cars. He welds himself but doubt he would have the time to do it at the mo, but I am sure he will know someone down that way that can do the work.)
    Will update the post tomorrow.

Singletrackmind I like your idea above, it appeals to me a little more than going for the DX "bastid." Presumably I'd need to drill the battery casing to add a connector for any battery I might be able to get made up.

Any idea of how I would go about that, or a guide on best method perhaps?

(Sorry I really am new to this so please bear with me, and if I am going a bit OT I should perhaps start a new thread.)

Spent the whole afternoon there today, was a great day on the trails.

To those that say it's too busy there now, bah humbug! Once away from the Lookout and with the exception of jump gulley, I didn't see another person for 3 1/2 hours riding. I was in and out of the Labyrinth, the Whole 9 yards, Tank traps etc etc.

It's just the weekends that are busier, and even then they are hardly unbearable. A great spot to ride when you're local.

Has anyone who knows about these things got their hands on one to see if it can be modded, even just keeping the case out of the unit and changing everything else.
It's the sort of thing I'd enjoy doing, but would need to be given a step by step as I haven't got a clue 😳

Look for books by Sir Ranulph Fiennes-

    Mad dogs and Englishman etc

That man has lead one hell of a life!

I've ordered a couple of the purples as they are so cheap. Can anyone shed any light on what re-chargeables need to be ordered if possible for these? A link would really help as the battery codes quoted really mean nothing to me.

I'd love to have something like that to learn on. Gives a chance to roll over, then gradually build confidence skill etc.
Great work, wish it was in my garden.
