the braking surface is meant to float a bit compared to the spider.

Fisher outdoor should have the parts

good luck taking it apart though. There is a strip down guide on the web somewhere, just can’t remember where though.

The Hardrock is well underspecced compared to a Fury, dart forks & 24spd, compared to tora’s & 27spd

Merlin linky no worky, so can’t compare

Carrera fury, yes it’s from hellfrauds, but on paper it’s probably the best specced new £500 bike there is.

I had my Orange 5 stolen from inside my locked & alarmed house, it was all that was taken, the tossers went straight for it, ignoring the ipod, camera, wallet & cash on the table they had to pass to get to the bike. They also ignored the Orange Gringo, Haro BMX & old skool Falcon road bike I had in the same room

If they want something they will have it, given enough time & the right tools.

Didn’t buy an iPhone/Blackberry as I wanted something different & I didn’t want a touch screen phone (greasy bike mechanic fingers)

E71 gets very good reviews, it’s certainly on a par with iPhone/Berry’s, if not better

Just bought a Nokia E71, very good bit of kit.

Facebook, twitter, email, web browsing, nokia sports tracker (who needs a Garmin!), sat nav, oh and you can make phone calls & texts with it too ;)

I just use the Bluetooth to sync up with my mac mini

    Looks pretty cool too.

Didn’t get there this year, bloody car blew up on the way, pi$$ed coolant all over the engine bay due to a burst hose

Hope everyone had a good event.

    DHB Earnley?

Just bought a pair, comfier than my old shorts (Humvee liner) probably not as good as Assos, but when you only have ~£30 & need them ASAP then you are kinda limited to what’s in stock in your size.

almost got some Assos S spec bibs, but they were out of stock.

Nokia Sports tracker is supposed to be pretty good.

Seen as I have a brand spanking new E71 with it on I’ll be doing a test ride this afternoon.

591’s will attach to any Aero style bars as well as most square type bars, you get all the kit in the box to change between the two types.

I have Seat (Aero) roof bars with 2 591’s, no problems, so you should be OK with the Citroen bars

usual way, set sag, rebound and compression (if the fork has it) to the desired amounts

The fork will take a little time to bed in so until it does wait to decide if as new spring is needed

They should still have a warranty with the shop selling them, not the manufacturer & the internals may differ, they may not. No shock pump with OEM forks. I’d not hesitate to buy OEM forks, I’ve bought plenty of OEM stuff in the past with no problems.

Chico I know that life is for living & I make the most of my spare time, but when you’re paid minimum wage & you have a house to run on your own you have to make a little sacrifice now & again, I’m trying to make as much money as possible during our busy season so when things do slacken off I can still afford the mortgage etc!

I was planning a holiday up in Scotland sampling the trails & single malts, but seen as my riding buddies wives all seem to be due in summer I’ve decided to cancel it as I can’t afford to go solo

It’s a superb ale, as is their Single malt (if a little lower ABV)

I had a set of mono mini’s (black & gold ones) and used Sram Attack trigger shifters with no problems (if he wants to keep the Shimano rear mech)

Also running the ’07 mono mini’s with Sram X9, again no issues.

    Full suss, 2 reasons….

#1 I’ve got arthritis in my spine (Ankylosing Spondylitis)

#2 I only own one MTB now, had to sell the hardtail & oldskool rigid Scott

I used to ride rigid steel forks & frames BITD, but I simply cannot ride even a hardtail off road without being in major pain for a long time afterwards.

I do use a oldskool roadie (’78 Falcon with Shimano 600 Arabesque) as my beer scooter though….

Test them all then buy the Orange.

It climbs well, descends like a bat out of hell & eats singletrack for breakfast.
