Yup, the 130PD is the best engine of the bunch, I have one in my Ibiza FR TDi.

I can quite easily get 65mpg by driving economically on A roads, 50 ish usually & 45 if I boot it a bit.

Good to see you've been converted from the Puma & Focus(?) Fozzy ;)

Yes. Sram rear mech's only work with Sram shifters (Except Rocket & Attack, which are Shimano compatable) Front mech's, doesn't matter what shifters you use.

X9, X0 is just too much cash for something you will prang.

XTR shadow rear mechs have a similar cable run to Sram

Or just unhook the outer cable from the chainstay/seatstay?

    Yup, always

When selling I always let the buyer know that the payment arrived, an expected postal date & when the stuff is physically posted & roughly when to expect the delivery. I give as much info as I can & expect the same in return.

A slow cooker works very well for venison, melt in the mouth style :D

I usually just kinda follow a beef in red wine recipe, or a beef casserole recipe.

You do not need to lube the Hope clamps or skewers, the brass bush needs no lube, if you lube them they have a greater chance of coming undone.

Rode with Gil a couple of weeks ago on t'moors, he was on his Ibis Bow Ti, beautiful bike.

Also saw 2 Bon Tempe's @ Dalby, got chatting to the owners, one of the Bon Tempe's had a Ti swingarm (uber rare so I'm told) and the other was a std swingarm version, one of them (can't remember which one) was running modernish X9 gearing, which looked a bit odd, but hey if it works & all that…

They can be a pain to put back together, there should be a tech doc on Sram's website.

If you can't get it back together, let me know as I have a spare set of X7's kicking about.

Do not give a cat cows milk, it isn't good for them. You can get cat milk from pet shops & supermarkets.

He will be quite nervous at first, it's all new sights, sounds & smells.

Give the wee fella a bit of time & TLC

I spent the 1st day with my cat removing her from behind anything she could get behind, washing machine, settee, fridge…

    & pics please.

Any VAG 1.9TDI, there are 3 versions of the PD engine IIRC, 100BHP, 130BHP & 150BHP, the 100 has a red i on the TDi badge, the 130 has the Di in red & the 150 has all 3 letters in red IIRC

I have an Ibiza FR TDi (130BHP) & it gives a good 60mpg on a steady drive, 50mpg with a little bit of lead foot & 45mpg with bikes on the roof.

can be done, the bottom pane is replaced with a new one with a cat flap sized hole in it. Just pop down to your local glazier with the catflap (measurements will be on the box) to have one made. Cost me £80.

You may have to pay some stupid fee to the council for fitting new glazing (or so my glazier told me) even though it’s only one panel being replaced

XT cassette & KMC chain (with X9 rear mech, shifters & XT front mech)

XT is cheaper, lighter & will not gouge a ProII freehub body as badly as some other cassettes.

Keep them inside for two weeks in which time they get to know the smell of the new house, then after that they should be ok to be let outside again.

As above make sure they have somewhere to hide in/under & something familiar to curl up on (old jumper, cat bed… )

They do float on the rivets to allow for expansion & contraction of the braking surface, which can help stop warping rotors as well as saving weight.

Do any of you disbelievers actually have a floating rotor?
