Std Kaos owner here, love the fit, very well vented.

Both helmets should meet the same safety standards so there should be no difference in protection between the two versions

Shop around for best prices & the std is only 40g heavier than the UL version IIRC (250g Vs 210g IIRC)

I drive fairly quickly, mostly on twisty A roads, muhahahaha…

std 16" FR alloys, 205/16/45 Proxes T1-R's IIRC, just had a pair of Dunlop sportmaxx fitted on the back, as they were needed asap & couldn't find anything else in stock locally, they seem ok so far. Might try some different tyres up front once this set of Proxes wears out. Cheers.

    Another Ibiza Tdi here!

'05 FR 1.9/130bhp, thinking of a remap, car has done only 36k, I drive about 7500 miles a year, so wear & tear on other components shouldn't come into play for a long time (touch wood)

Only downside I see with mine is the tyre wear, I get 13k on the front with Toyo Proxes @ 130 bhp, so I'd guess at about 10k with a remap? Still it's less than £160 a year on tyres up front…

Wipe with a damp clean cloth after a ride

Do not use a Lizard Skin, more likely to trap grit & scratch buggery out of them

It's probably the B screw (height adjuster), it happened on my 5 with an X9 mech, I found that adjusting the mech so it was further away from the cassette helped stop the noise.

I will be leaving the Halifax, got the letter a couple of days ago.

I'm trying to live on basic minimum wage & do all the overtime I can, but still go overdrawn every month, usually get charged about £5 a month, once the £1 a day charge comes in it will increase the charges to about £20 a month.

Had a browse on Money saving expert, looks like the Alliance & Leicester will be the best bank for me to swap to.

Very happy with my non-bling regular Kaos helmet, only cost me £60 from my LBS when they first came out (IIRC RRP was £80)

Scott's warranty will only cover the first owner of the bike (so the manual says)

Second hand pricing is tricky, but a a rough guide, after a year it's about half it's original value, then 10% extra off for every year after that.

There are a lot of folks who are feeling very skint at the mo & so being patient may pay off.

I use SealSkinz & merino liners in winter, cos I'm skint and can't afford a new set of SPD boots for winter

Nothing, mine's an ex demo bike, it had plenty of battle scars when I got it.

The more noise the better, keeps the red sock brigade on their toes.

As a kid I used to love cheese on toast with chocolate spread on top, not tried it in ages though.

Brie & orange toasties are pretty tasty

Toasted hot cross buns with cheese

My personal fave fast food is a cheese sarnie, with chilli sauce & a fried egg with a runny yolk in it with salt & fresh ground black pepper, awesome!

There is one on ebay with a week left to go @ £126

I doubt that you couldn't find anything on the net about it as it's quite a popular frame, try harder.

I used to work with a Mr Mann, he called his son Connor.

Not unfortunate, the bloke was just plain stupid, he burned out his moped to claim on the insurance, which he later found out was only covered for 3rd party.

Hedgehogs are lovely (but flea ridden) critters, used to see loads at a family friends house as a kid.

A real shame to see them squished (shame to see any animals come to a premature end really) I see loads of road kill on my daily commute, mostly rabbits, foxes & pheasants, not a pleasant sight at all.

At least he had a good last meal Trout

WTB Rocket V is my fave saddle, but as the Ti railed versions cost twice the price of the Ti Spoon, I now have a Ti Spoon & it's very good (but not quite as comfy as the WTB Rocket!)

Thing with saddles is it all depends on the shape of your arse as to which one is comfiest for you.
