Air source heat pump for hot water. Very economical.

That can be used for space heating to, but your house must be very well insulated first.

There should be a pressure relief valve in the bypass circuit. What is it at the 90deg bend in your red arrow pipe at the vertical / horizontal joint. It is the likely location for such a valve. It relieves pressure if there is not sufficient flow in the CH / DWH circuit.

If that has failed, or is set incorrectly, it would certainly explain why your hot water isn’t that hot.

Also, can’t see the return from the tank coil. You have identified that? And it goes into one of the red pipes??

    Yes, plus VAT of course.

Unless there are particular difficulties at the property, routing / connecting the new tank to the existing HW pipe system.

I needed an Ambit a couple of years ago, and it has been the best investment in training and general outdoor toyage that I have ever owned.
The current version of software has improved vastly from the original that was excellent, but benefits from the additional features now installed.

I haven’t used anything other that Suunto watches for HRM, so cannot comment on anything else. But, those that don’t use HRM for training and competition are really showing their ignorance.
It is well worth getting a lactate test to find your personal training zones. Few un-coached athletes use Zoned training and recovery in their schedules. If you are serious about getting faster and stronger, it is a phenomenal tool.

I’ve got a Lifeproof one here. It is very tough and not as bulky as most others and supposidly waterproof, though i’d never test that. Having said that I did drop it the other day from about 6ft onto concrete, and although the phone is undamaged, the caseing itself seems to have developed a crack – so definately not waterproof now, but still useable. I guess these cases are designed to take the impact and damage rather than the phone.

A massive vote for Lifeproof cases.
    All personal experiences
    1. My work exposes my phone to fine dust constantly – no problem
    2. Numerous drops knocks and otherwise iphone killing incidents over the life of the phone (3 years)
    3. Phone left in my bag on a marina. A friend went to get something from said bag and accidentally tipped my phone into the sea. The phone was fine after diving down to get it a minute or so later.

ALSO – with special reference to the quoted above, my case did not survive a friends baby, who put a tooth through the earpiece membrane. Lifeproof were very impressive and sent out a replacement case (complete) that arrived a week or so later completely FOC. Phone out of warranty too.

It’s quite expensive, but in my opinion well worth every penny. It’s a fit and forget product for me. T
    The only two irritations are:
    1) that if you don’t have the screw in headphone adapter, you can’t use someone else’s stereo unless you take the phone out of the case. This can cause the case to weaken.
    2) Docks and most non genuine apple dock connectors do not fit through the port in the Lifeproof case. Adapters are cheap as chips, but sods law says that you won’t have one to hand when you want one.

I had an otterbox defender in the past that was bulky and provided nothing like the protection, nor peace of mind.

When I load the sports page and scroll down just a bit to see all the content that will fit on one screen’s worth of vertical pixels, I can see 4 football stories, 2 tennis, 1 cricket, 1 formula 1 and 1 rugby story. So less than 50% football. Not that bad surely?

Fair comment, but why not 1 or 2 Fball headlines, plus stories from other sports in the same vane as the Fball closed season. I’ve no problem with the sport, but why sideline other potential stories for the sake of bland headlines for Football which have their own very comprehensive pages?

Given your username I thought you’d want a different sort of football! One that kicks off tomorrow night!

No, much more interested in what happens on SF Bay, starting on Saturday. But, wouldn’t expect pinnacle of world sport to find it’s way to the BBC sports pages at all.

Quite happy reading about sports I want read about. It’s the sports articles that I don’t know that I want to read which get pushed aside by Fball. In the closed season, there is much more variation on the headline page.

I would assume people who want to read in depth about Fball can click there too in the same way my first choice is F1. Major headlines on the Sport homepage, but other stuff on the relevant page.

Rewarding good behaviour is good, but also express you displeasure at unwanted behaviour.

Verbal expression is slow and clumsy. A short sharp sound works very wells. As soon as dog does something, or appears to want to does something your are trying to prevent, a loud, gutteral sounding arrrgh works well. Dogs don’t understand words, but respond to sounds. Frequently used words are familiar sounds. Arrrgh conveys immediate displeasure.

Try and agree and use only agreed commands when training. Praise good behaviour, chastise unwanted behaviour..

ALWAYS praise a dogs return. NEVER scold it for coming back, even if it has been off on one. Otherwise the dog will assume that coming back to you is bad. Any bad behaviour off the lead must be addressed whilst the dog is under close control.

Ask a 3rd party to be there as an independent witness to the proceedings. With recording equipment if necessary

Is the builder a member of any trade organisations, FMB or similar? Contact them. They ‘may’ be in a position to assist.

Re the roof – agree with the posts above. If it didn’t leak beforehand, it’s something they have done. Is the leak on the join of the two roofs? I wouldn’t allow this builder, nor his subbies on your property to do any further work.

He sounds like a real rogue. Certainly not the correct way to resolve any disputes.

Identify circuits that use the current by switching all circuits off, then adding circuits progressively.
    Likely current using equipment

    Fridges
    Freezers
AV equipment on standby / record
    Phone chargers
    Modem/ router
    Laptop transformers
    Oven clock
    Central heating timer
    Bedside clock radios

All relatively low current usage, but cumulative.

The parking on Isle of Man is verging on sensible. Each vehicle has a disc that the driver sets to show the time the vehicle was parked.
It’s a very simple cheap disc that individuals purchase. Prosecution if the disc is not displayed, or the time is exceeded.

    Simple yet effective.

Still think some areas should be permenantly vehicle free. Red Route type restrictions.

Call the local police station. Ask to speak to the community policeman for your area. Ask if they would pay a visit in an official capacity, following a tipoff. It might do the trick.
If they want to make it VERY official, so be it.

Won’t be viable over the period of the loan.
It works well if you can finance all or the majority at install. Also, check alternative finance arrangements, not the one from the installer.

Request that cash is posted by Recorded Delivery, so no-one can claim it’s gone missing / been sent but not received!

Also, confirm with your bank that the amount is FULLY cleared and available, and cheque / transfer cannot be bounced / cancelled / withdrawn.

Sounds very much like both your freezer and supply to the garage need to be checked.
Does the garage have it’s own circuit, or is it part of a house socket circuit? Is anything supplied by the circuit.

If you can’t find anyone locally, give me a call at Eco Electrics. I’m based in Sheffield, but am willing to assist.

Simply brilliant. Slightly increased phone size, but by no means bulky. I don’t mind the screen protector. Infact, I would choose it, purely because it adds a little more protection. I have the Nuud for iPad and it works fine too.
I damaged my case through wear and tear. Lifeproof replaced the whole case without fuss and without charge. Out of warranty too!
    Couldn’t recommend them enough.

If it’s a ring the number of socket outlets is unlimited. The maximum floor area is 100m2 for a ring final circuit with a B32 MCB. If you don’t already have it any extension to a final circuit must also be protected by 30mA RCD.
Single outlet spurs are permissible. If more than one outlet is on on a spur, the whole spur must be protected by a 13amp fuse.

Are the existing sockets part of a ring circuit? Are you sure?
It makes a significant difference to what you can do, andhow you do it.
What protection does the circuit have?

Fitting the back boxes/cable is the easy bit.

GPS fixes are generated in the receiver by measuring the time taken for a radio signal to be received from a satellite.
To create a 2D fix (terrestrial) a minimum of 3 satellites must be visible. More accurate fixes are achieved by having more satellites in line if sight of the receiver. Fixes in deep valleys are less accurate or unacheivable for this reason. Conversely, on hills or plains fixes are more accurate. Terrestrial GPS receivers can give an altitude based solely on GPS, but generally not accurate because they are optimised to operate to a Datum (which, yes, is a flat but spherical surface).
Aero GPS receivers are optimised for giving accurate 3D positional fixes, and are very accurate. Their position algorithm use more satellites to create a fix. By a lucky quirk, more satellites are visible from the air..

Also terrestrial GPS can give more accurate altitude if they have a firm datum for generating that fix. Differential GPS being one example.

    Hope that helps…

I’ve designed and built a couple of One Metres. Really good fun to put ideas onto paper, then watch them take shape.
The first one was fairly radical and went ‘down the mine’ in anything over about 10 kts of breeze
The second was quite successful. The third sank as a result of friend’s ineptitude..!! I still have MkII, but not sailed it in a while. Building the hulls is cheap but time consuming. One you have the rigs, sail winch and carbon keel fin it’s really easy to built new ideas and get sailing.
Never tried any of the one design classes, but friends sail RC Lasers in the winter and have a hoot!

I’m a huge fan of New Balance shoes. I’ve got wide feet and they have a very roomy toe box area. Innov8s are really quite narrow (although great shoes).
I love the minimalist shoe concept, but also use New Balance MT101 that have a 6mm drop. If they fit, and feel comfortable, I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Very good for trails, tracks and also road sections. They are very responsive and give good protection from stones on the trail. Reasonable grip too. Plenty for summer tracks and trails, but not so good for full on winter gloop.

Try before you buy though. Try to get to a running shop that will let you go for a spin round the streets in addition to the routine treadmill.

I agree, it does sound like you’ve gone at it too quickly initially. Bones will still be increasing in density, muscles and more importantly tendons and ligaments adapting.
Let you knees have a break, then start gentle again.

I’d also suggest trying neutral natural style running too. But, if you do, take it really gently because your calves and Achilles will need time to adapt. Well worth the effort and perseverance because it’s such a relaxing way to run.
