After owning the note 10.1 for 8 months and now the Sony tablet z, I would say the Sony wins hands down in build quality weight and and robustness oh and its alot thinner. Can only guess that this has continued with the z2.As for specs not really that much in it though.

Also prefer the rubber back on the Sony as its doesn’t spit out the hand like the Note 10.1 did

Still riding my 2004 patriot with dirt jumper 2 forks, ok it may not be the fastest and it ain’t light compared to new offerings, but its never let me down and get more riding then my on-one 456 and still great fun.

As for the forks only serviced twice in 9 years and and once was this year and the stanchions are unmarked and running as smooth as ever.

Oh and as its an orange you can’t’t tell the age anyway as they still look the same now, ish :O)

Metals4u is just round the corner from were i live, well there warehouse is.

had quite a few bits from them over the last year for various projects and mainly aluminium.

All decent quality material and nice set of chaps to boot so have no fear in using them

As an operating system win 8 on mobile is as good as any of the others and if anything its actually easier to use and navigate but as anything that’s just a personal opinion.

As for people going on about apps etc, yes they don’t have as many but if you look at the 700000 apps on android Itunes 699900 of them are either repeat copy apps or just pointless, so leaving about 100 useful ones that people actually use and play and i guarantee then 100 will all be pretty much available on win 8

If an app is popular on one platform you can guarantee that it will be available on all others withing weeks

    Just my 10 pence worth

Used it loads of times you just park pay and keep your keys and then drive of when you return dont think there will be any cover for damage as its parked at your own risk like any public parking hope that helps

Love the looks and ride of my specialized sirrus for my 14 mile each way commute and not too bad on the local canal paths either, only had it a month so far but love it so far much better then having to commute on my 35lb Patriot 😆

Have the 2003 Patriot with the option to change the travel on the back. Its pretty much bomb proof and me been on the larger size it’s taken a beating over the years from fort William down hill to general use 3 time a week oh and a trip to the Alps about 3 years ago.

Ok the frame and shock are only original bits left of the bike from when I bough it brand new, but just carnt face to sell it and buy something a tad lighter but the frame is as good today as the day i bough it bar a few dints and scratches.

You will never regret buying a patriot and still looks as relevant today as 8 years ago, as lets be honest orange haven’t really done much in terms of radical design changes in all them years.

Simple single pivot perfection I need say no more apart from its heavy :O)

Or alternatively take it to your lbs hand over £15 quid and get it done without the hassle and less expense then buying parts to make your own, thats if you only intend to do one.

Close up work is the main reason for me looking at going SLR most of the shots I take at the moment are either live music gigs or outdoor events biking / climbing etc and been let down so may times by my compact but some of this is think is down to the shutter speed its not instant like I think an SLR will be ( or I could be wrong )

Been plying for 25 years now since age 7 but teaching for 8 apart from watching vids and looking what drum music looks like do little as picking up the bad habits now can only hinder your time in lessons later.I have spent weeks with some pupils trying to get them out of bad stick technique ok not a problem at first but as u develop you will realise how you hold and use the sticks is so important to get different sounds and of course speed hope this helps

    Thanks

Its amazing what an incentive it is when she who must be obeyed offered me £100 for each stone I lost towards a new Bike after telling her of many a story of by Biking days before my third lift crises and weight gain

But liking some of the suggestions so far I feel some testing coming on
