I’ve tried one; they are weighty and a bit top heavy. I found I had to rest my arms on a table after 1-2 mins use..

    Edit: double post 😺

Thunderburts are ace. Although they are lethal in mud 😀

Obvious question to ask: why not fly from the UK to the nearest airport of your final destination?

Currently 3 weeks in Spain with some of the family. Then 3 weeks, alone, in Ireland in September. After almost 15 years in Sweden, I’m looking forward to spending much more time in both those places from now on 😎

I had a shotgun shoved in my face during the IRA robbing the premises I worked in 😄

Somewhat paradoxically, that’s when I realised the ceasefire was for real and permanent

I’ve played on one for about 5 mins. It’s a very polished product but heavy. You couldn’t hold it in yours hands for very long. It’s best to play it sitting by a table.

I really like Schwalbe Hurricanes; fast on the road and decent on hard pack/gravel trails

The only thing I really can’t get on with in G Suite is handling me emails in a browser. The UI drives me absolutely crazy. So much so that I use outlook as my gmail client :D

    Otherwise, its all good :)

You can DIY a shim for that. I did similar using the plastic housing from old hand grip.

Offered me £100 for a refurbished 735xt after my screen developed a black spot.

Went for a Huawei GPS smartwatch for £40 instead – much better watch fot what I actually need and the smartphone app is lightyears better than Garmins.

    I can’t believe I paid around £300 for the 735!

Moved to Scandinavia almost 13 years. Slowly heading partly back due to aging Parents/homesickness etc. I’ll never move fully back due to family commitments and I do like a lot about living here. I can see it being a, hopefully, 60/40 split.
Relocation is easier before kids come along. I wouldn’t sell any property either at least for the first 5 years
Overall, in really glad i did. It’s broadens the mind and horizons.

Work gave me one. It’s nice to be able to vary my position but it’s a manual desk and a bit of a pain to wind up and down

So, Garmin has offered me a replacement Forerunner 735xt for about £100.
I can’t remember how much I paid for it and when I tried to check on Wiggle, it look like it has been discontinued.

I’m considering not to buy it and try something else. To be honest, I only want an activity logger, i.e to record the days I ran or cycled – anything else is overkill. would a fitbit do that for me?

After reading the above, I’ll go direct to Garmin. I’ll update this thread later :)

Sounds positive – I bought it from Wiggle, so I’ll go through them first.

Preserving the tooth (or as much as possible) will always be the Dentists default stance. Veeners do this.

Personally, I would go with a veneer. It’s cheaper and presvers more of the tooth.

A crown can come later, if needed.

I think mine is the same.
I’ve had to tighten my 12 speed sram cassette twice since getting my bike last March.
It’s no biggie and everything works fine. I just find it a bit odd 😊

As suggested, finding a good Teacher would be a good next step. Either 121 or in a classroom environment.

It’s taken me about 13 years to get to conversational Swedish and I found having a Teacher/classroom was the best for me.

Flaming hell, the Gammons are getting angrier! That’s someone’s Dad punching all around him. Embarassing, depressing stuff.

When I went tubeless, it took about a month for the back tire to seal properly and stay inflated.
Even now, I still pump up the tire once or twice a week.
How the bike rides has definitely improved since going tubeless but tubeless hasn’t been trouble free for me at all.

Only in NI would this be allowed to happen. Unionist politicians won’t condemn it as they fear the backlash from Loyalist Paramilitaries and Communities. Completely unlicensed and unregulated. Those bonfires are filled with rubber tires, ffs.

With long Covid, exercise actually exacerbates the problem (or so I’ve read).
After I had Covid, my lung capacity was shot for a few weeks.
