I’m 6’5 and have rode a 23″ spesh which I found too big.
I’ve come down to 20″ which is great, much more agile.
You can get a lot out of playing with stem length & angle, riser bar height, layback seatpost & seat position.

I love the look of them.
I’m building a bike now & that is a good contender for the frame.
    They do custom colours too.

Ok, any new kids, i’m thinking post natal depression to be that messed up. Or any history of depression.

“Can you bring some Milk in on your way home”

Is sooo out of line, that could well be a deal breaker.

    Sorry, are you sleeping together?
Can she be seeing someone else? any recent change in behaviour.
Maybe she wants to end it but has no balls.
Sorry man, this sounds a nightmare.

    mmm, tough one.
Does she know the impact of her behaviour?
Have you had the “If this doesn’t change then this will be the end of us” chat.
Have you had a good look at your behaviour? And I mean a really honest look.

    I’ve got a Powerplay tensioner.
    Brand new, unused.
Don’t know if it’s any good, but it’s yours if you want it.

    So, done mine mid-September.
    Sling for 3 weeks.
    Off work for 8 weeks.
“light” work duties for further 6 weeks.
After 3 months, doc said it’s healing, but too slowly.
    More x-rays in Jan.
Still not been on my bike
The most difficult, painful injury i’ve ever had.

They shouldn’t need money from you if they’re going to sell ad space, so as long as you don’t pay or give bank details it could be worth a punt.
Can you contact any other band on the site?
Go with eyes wide open though.

You emailed on friday, you do know it’s only monday now?
People go away for weekends you know.
Sounds like you have more money than sense if you go to the LBS to fit rim strip on £350 wheels.
Do you get the LBS to pump your tyres too?
Starting a thread is a bit nobbish.
Chill out, i’m sure Ian will get back to you.

…you have no idea whatsoever what they do in the rest of Europe and you should keep your snidey racist remarks to yourself.

But you’re quite happy to use the term “nasty little jock”

Calling someone “retarded” isn’t cool either.

You seem to have quite an empty head perched on that well chipped shoulders of yours.

    ,
i’ve cycled up behind a walker very slowly, said excuse me, then thanks as i passed and still got abuse for not having a bell.

Because when you do that you startle people and are in teh wrong.

get a bell – and use it – a gentle ping from 30 m away alerts them to your presence and puts you in the right

I have had cyclists do what you did and it is very unnerving.

Really? I don’t feel comfortable with the bell thing.
I thought it is much more respectful to talk to someone like a human and do the “excuse me/thankyou” thing than ring a bell at them like they’re a dog or servant.
It would be unnerving to have a runner come up behind you and say excuse me if they were coming at speed.
When i come up behind a walker, i go even slower than them, almost track-stand and say excuse me from a good few meters away.

I’ve come to think that everyone who uses the outdoors hate eachother.
There’s the ramblers with red socks & walking poles who hate the cyclists for being a menace.
The dog walkers who walk 4 abreast with extention leads and let their dogs poo everywhere that are hated by runners & cyclists.
The runners actually seem pretty unhated so far.
And then the cyclists who it seems everyone hates,
i’ve cycled up behind a walker very slowly, said excuse me, then thanks as i passed and still got abuse for not having a bell.

Why can’t we all just get along man… 😀

Ok, worse than usual, it was pretty bad last year though iirc.
But should we not adopt strategies from other countries?
Should it be law for the community to clear the path outside of their property?
Should winter tyres be a requirement?
Should people be better prepared for bad weather regarding footwear & clothing?
I’ve not been here the last few days, but have seen most of it & still walked 5 miles to work.
I still think council & community could do better.

The council definately needs to get a grip & the community needs to take responsibility too
Someone always trots out this BS. They have the equipment to deal with it. We do not. If we bought it folk would be moaning about wastig taxpayers money. Bet you never do that eh?

I’ll clarify this BS for the hard of thought.
It snows every year in Scotland does it not?
This ‘equipment’ the Germans have include cheap snow shovels and people who are willing to clear the paths for the good of the community.
I don’t expect the amount of gritters etc as the Germans but I bit of effort on major roads & a bit of backbone from us lot is not too much to expect.
I’ve had people phone in saying they can’t make work because of snow even though they live in the city, they’re horrified by the suggestion of walking.
The council also have ploughs & gritters, surely major roads could have been done to keep the busses going?
It’s the BS that the council trot out that you should be concerned with.
At least the transport minister thinks it was a balls up and resigned.
We need to accept & expect bad weather up here & stop making excuses.

I’m just back from Bavaria today. It’s snowed 2 feet of snow in one night, by 10am all roads were clear, gritted & perfectly drivable, even small country roads.
Everyone was out with snow shovels to clear the paths, a real community effort.
    It was very impressive.
The snow tyres that are required by law are excellent too.
People in the UK always seem shocked when it snows.
The council definately needs to get a grip & the community needs to take responsibility too.

I use pedros allen keys, the long ones.
Now that you say, it didn’t feel like a snug fit, it wobbled in it a bit.
I’m finding it impossible to get lever bolts for juicy 3s.
Sram don’t seem to sell replacements, and apart from this cheap Ti option, they seem to be like rocking horse poo-poo.

Why did they join with the conservatives then?
A union with labour would still get them in power and allow them to hold onto their policies.
    No?

I’m still confused as to how we managed to get into this position of getting properley screwed.

It was a terrible “fight” but that was all Fraudleys fault for being a useless punchbag and the Klitchcos for running away.
Boxing, particularly heavyweight boxing, is awful.
Far too much politics, far too little action.
Most of them fight twice a year, dodging eachother for another payday.
    Pay-per view is killing boxing.
Get it back on council TV & fight more often.

    I’m from there.
I found Edinburgh much colder (weather & people!)when I moved down here.
    Keep thinking about going back.
Would only do it if I could live on the outskirts of town & hit the best mountain biking hills in the world daily!
Great part of the world though, pretty affluent, good schools, not much crime friendly lot.

    Superstar ones are nice.
    DMR V8 & 12 also nice.
The new DMR vault looks good.

I think pedals are disposeable, rock bashing items, and as such should be cheap & look good.

So for me, V8 or Wellgo copies – get 4 pairs of these to one set of straitlines.

I’ve just watched a prog on Discovery which showed how the british would bury nazi airmen shot down over britain with full military honours.
I think it is a reflection on society how we treat our prisoners/crimiinals/enemies etc.
    That’s why I believe torture/capital punishment/abuse is totally unacceptable.
We need to look at the causes of terrorism, why do they want to kill us?
Has our actions from imperial expantion to suez to Iraq to Afganistan brought any good to the world or just radicalised generations of hopeless, desperate people?
People will tell you anything during torture and as said, it’s usually used as a humiliation, punishment or deterrent.

It’s not acceptable in a civilised society and it is unreliable anyway.
We must rely on intelligence & not enraging these people with dubious foreign policies and unquestioned support of the US.

Saw the doc again taday, it’s been 8 weeks now.
I’m still in a lot of pain and am unable to work or excersize.
My second xray looked much the same as my first one above.
I’ve noticed my shoulder is shorter than the other one so I’m a bit concerned about future problems with back pain etc due to asymmetry.
They said they’d only operate if the skin is broken.
Feeling a bit down about it all really, the doc offered me the op at the time, wish i’d taken him up on that & have it fixed by now.

I’ve used E&L before, they were pants for me.
    I’m now with CycleGuard.
I’ve recently had an accident that done my shoulder in as well as wrecking the front wheel, made a claim for accidental damage (wheel, not me) and got it sorted no problem.
They have been really helpful & quick.
Thanks to The Bike Chain on this too.
Just need to get me sorted now, 8 weeks & counting.
