The Am40s are so much better looking IMO, although, aren’t they replacing them with the horrific AM41s?
I love my AM40s, going to buy more.

I doubt there will be a truly global war involving everyone, rather smaller ‘regime changing’ occupations.
I think any such conflicts will become more ‘unmanned’ as 24hr news & battlefield reporting makes war unpalletable to the general population, and polititions alike, especially coming up to elections.
Although there is a question mark over N. Korea and to some extent Iran.
I think Isreal may play a part in a big conflict as I doubt they will tolerate any neighbours becoming beligerant and powerful; Iran making the ‘wipe Isreal of the face of the map’ comment wasn’t helpful. If Isreal knew for sure that Iran has nuclear weapons under the current regime, then they may do something pre-emptively.
But we won’t see trench wars of attrition, rather cypber-wars and battles over resources.

Wasn’t that ‘Fin du closh’ or something French.

    Good anyway.

I’m just back from the showing in Edinburgh.
It was a great night, top film.
Danny was there, getting photos taken, looking a bit embarrased by it all.
His manager Tarek Rasouli spoke, he’s in a wheelchair after breaking his back in an accident.
There was money raised for the RedBull wings foundation which raises money for spinal cord injuries.
Great night and really sound to see someone make it big for just riding their bike and doing what they love while still being so down to earth.
I was also lucky enough to win second prize in the raffle (hoodie & t-shirts, the 1st prize was an inspired bike)
    Awsome night.

Is it the Ibis from TBC?
    How is it?

    I use Cycleguard.

I’ve claimed after an accident, no problems at all, think they’re good.

I used to be bad with money & racked up debt with the want it, buy it attitude.
Now I’ll save for something but will try to get good stuff, so don’t mind it being expensive, just have to be patient and enjoy it when I get it.

I don’t ever have to ask from The Bike Chain as their prices are so good on their extensive range of stock.
Along with the excellent staff, it is a real pleasure shopping with them.

Mark, I expect a discount now.
    😀

    I wouldn’t see her.
If she needs to unload her baggage, then ask her to write it in a letter, or if you don’t want to give her your address, then an email.
Does it take a deathbed for her to realise what a shit she’s been?

The Germany of today is a result of a complete rebuilding process minus the Nazis.
If they had one WW2, the world would be pretty grim with persecution of Jews, pretty much any non white, honosexuals, all disabilities, intellectuals, students, russians, slavics etc.
You think the Tories are bad…

    No problem.
9 seconds will make you feel ropey!
Don’t worry, the procedure is under an hour, fairly painless and extremely safe.
    Good luck.

There is absolutely no problem for you to ride with a pacemaker.
You may have heart block, which means your heart slows down to the point you may faint.
A pacemaker is a small device placed below your collarbone at the front of your chest.
It has a wire that goes into a vein by the collarbone and runs down into your heart where it is secured.
It does nothing until your heart slows down, then it will kick in, you probably won’t notice.
    It’s just a safety net.
Give it a few weeks to bed in, stitches heal etc.
    After that, live normally.
I’ve looked after a marathon xc rider who has one.
Hopefully it wont come to a pacemaker, but if it does, then don’t worry too much, you’ll be fine.

Cholesterol level is largely dictated by your genes.
You can eat high cholesterol foods without familial hypercholesteroleamia (high cholesterol thats genetically passed down to you) and be ok.
Cholesterol lowering statins are the most effective way of reducing it.
Don’t listen to scaremongering regarding statins, although some statins don’t suit everyone, there are lots of different ones so there are options.
It is vital that your ‘bad’ cholesterol level is lowered.
Keep up with the healthy lifestyle and keep up with your GP.

    I’m pretty sure BUPA aren’t a charity.
They are, according to they’re site, “Bupa is the UK’s leading provider of private health care insurance and health care services”
My wife worked for/ran BUPA services.
She says it is illegal to have the seatbelt on unless medically ordered & agreed by family or advocates.
This was a tragic but avoidable accident.
Lessons must be learned & procedures changed, training implemented.

Mine was x-rayed last week, 4 months after breaking it.
There is still a big gap with no evidence of boney growth and still in some pain.
They don’t seem to interested in doing anything about it.
Got back on the bike 2 weeks ago.

I’ve been looking at getting a frame next month, liking the Soul, 456, Bfe, & P7.
    Edging toward the P7.
As I’m 6’5 the Orange is the only 21″ that i think i’ll need anyway.
The guys at Cotic said i’m too big for a Soul or Bfe. 😥

16 weeks before I got back on the bike last week.
It’s still not right though, I’m getting another xray next week.
I’d have preferred the op looking back on what has been a pretty tough recovery.

I like to think it’s unique.
I’ve been using MBR for the last couple of years before coming here.
From my experience there, anything the few ‘long-termers’ don’t like will get shot down, seems to be a chat room for a handful of folk.
Much more intellectual & emotionally sensitive here.
    Good on ya STW.
