    Choose song on iTunes.
Right click – get info – options – change start & finish time for 40 second segment.
    Click Ok.
Right click – create aac version.
Go to my music buff folder file.
    Find the copied file.
Save it in a “ringtones” new folder file.
Change the file extension from m4a to m4r. (look google for how to view file extension)
Go to iTunes and import that file to ringtone section.
Remember to change the original song back to normal start & stop time.
Sounds complicated, but it’s ok, some good explanations on google too.

I give up, how the hell do you post youtube videos!

Go to YouTube, to your video.
Copy the address bar at the top.
Then paste it inside a (video)put address bar here(/video)
    Use [ ] instead of ( )
    Done

Yea Forge197, saw that today, very nice.
There’s been a few vids been put up so thought it’d be good to get them all on one thread.

I don’t know about uploading tips but regarding music, it should be fine to use copyrighted stuff.
What will happen is, eg Sony will detect this and put a link or advert on your vid to buy the music.
A lot of the big music companies came to an agreement with YouTube to do this.
You use their music, they get ad space.
Most likely, the vid will be silenced in Germany only.

I posted earlier, with some photos.

I understand where you’re coming from, could/should have been bigger & better but hopefully it’ll improve each year, this was the first one after all.

I think that it’s important that we support it & then hopefully it’ll grow into what we want it to be.

I’d like to see bike makers there, orange, Cotic, ragley etc.

    RE: Sheep worrying (not)

    Dearest Linda,
Thank you so much for your kind correspondence.
It is truly heart warming that there are still people willing to comment on events they weren’t party to.
I am flattered by your praise of my imagination, I am also impressed that all my friends suffered the same delusions, perhaps you think we were suffering severe dehydration or mass hysteria.
I am sure that as your friends are so entwined in the farming business, they would be very grateful that vigilant members of the public are so concerned for their livelihood.
There are many signs around the Pentlands warning of sheep worrying and asking the public to report it.
I would have hoped your friends would have behaved in a more responsible manner.
Perhaps next time someone will be shooting a gun at the dogs instead of a camera.

Couple of points if I may,
There’s no such thing as slander in Scotland, defamation perhaps.
A member of the public has the right to photograph anything not on private property.
Subject heading : RE: Sheep worrying (not), not, at the end of a sentence is only suitably used by 12 year olds, from 1995.
    You’re = you are.

Please feel free to consume more wine and fumble out another email.

    My kindest regards,

A not at all angry mountain biker and dog lover.

I did think of the data protection thing, I don’t want these nutjobs wading in but I don’t want to cause a problem for the rangers, he had good intentions I’m sure.
I think I’ll reply with an uber-polite email, gushing in thanks.
I want to make this harpy flip.
I’ll copy & paste it later.

I love theway they claim it is made up when you were there and they were not

Posting the email address is a bit harsh tho I think.

    Fair enough, edited.

“I feel the pentland rangers had no right circulating this e-mail “
I don’t understand this bit. Where was this circulated?

Don’t know who the ranger sent the email to or how this clown got a hold of it.

    Got this e-mail today.
    Cage rattled me thinks…

I have read your e-mail which was sent to the pentland rangers about 2 good friends of mine. I thought you might like to know that one of them is a farm manager’s wife who is busy doing the lambing at this minute and the other is from farming background too!!! You’re e-mail is somewhat slanderous and totally made up. What right did you have sneakily taking a photo of them and they were not aware of this. You must have a very good imagination have nothing better to do with your time. I feel the pentland rangers had no right circulating this e-mail and should have seen into it further and spoken to my friends as they did have their names and knew who they were. They had a right to respond to this allegation before it was circulated.

    Yours

A very angry hillwalker and dog owner!!!

I was going to get Straitlines or Burgtecs but opted for Wellgo B54 for £25.
They just get bashed up anyway, and I can just replace them more often – 4 pairs of Wellgos for the price of 1 Straitlines.
I like the B54s, nice big platform and perform well.

A lot of GPs will refer patients to an outpatients appointment in a hospital ECG department.
A basic ECG takes 5 minutes.
Treadmill ECG only if you have chest pain.
It could be the low BP making you dizzy.
The other thought is your heart is occasionally slowing down.
The basic ECG may not show anything, you may need on of these 24 hour things or a little box you put over your chest when feeling dizzy.

Yes you can cycle there, with care though, usual responsibilities stuff.
It’s a bit of an old folks home / dog walker site.
You can also tell sanctimonious morons to go and procreate with themselves if they don’t like cyclists.
Nails in wood, glass, branches across trails is their game.

I think “collection only” means, you come round and take it away like it is.
He wants you to wrap it, that involves boxes, cardboard, bubble wrap, tape, padding etc which you’ve not charged for.
If you’ve said “collection only” then i’d not do what he wants.
    You should’ve specified “UK only”
    He must’ve been stoned!

    Yup, not the best.
The thrill of the new season got me through it.
    Stoner was great.
Pedrosa didn’t have it in him to be strong all the way, again.
    Lorenzo was good.
Simoncelli was brutal, grudge match with him & Dovi.
Rossi was alright, as much as could be expected.
    Well done Cal, great start.
    Should be more exciting…hopefully.

I think 120mm gives the perfect combo of good climbing while keeping the front wheel down and adequate travel when needed.

Doesn’t that depend on the frame?

Yes, you’re right, so I don’t see the point of super slack hardtails with 150mm forks.
    Maybe i’m not gnarr enough.
    😀

I’ve got 100mm rebas on my Orange P7, this feels ok but I am going to remove the spacer to get 120mm as I think that is perfect for the XC/trail stuff i do.
I think 120mm gives the perfect combo of good climbing while keeping the front wheel down and adequate travel when needed.
There is the fashion to get as much travel as possible, whether it is needed or not.
It wasn’t that long ago that 80-100mm was generous and 120-140mm was for the downhillers!

Where about in Inverness do you ride?
I’m from there but don’t ride there, was thinking of taking my bike up next time.

I got one a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it!
    I’m 6’5 & have a 21″ which is still roomy.
They have a long top tube so you won’t feel cramped.
They are a bit on the ‘hardcore’ side, designed for 120-140mm forks.
There are cheaper frames out there but I wouldn’t swap mine for anything.
