MrNutt, define bargain?
Surely thats the point of the post, one mans (seller) definition of a bargain is totally different to a buyers, how cheap is cheap, 1/2, 1/3rd 1/5th?
Perhaps this is a subjective POV, but when you get to 1/5th, then beyond that whats the point of selling other than having to?

So, to summarise, in reality STW is a fairly small marketplace, ebay & all that ensues is the way to go, God help all those that want to sell bikes :(

Try & work out if its RPM related, try same speed different gear & see what happens. Have you tried to go through the RPM stationary to see if its a mount?

Thudbuster LT, great post, comes with hard medium & soft elasto whatsits, seriously compliant & better for you knees than some of the others.
But maybe you need a short travel FS ;)

TBH, there are to many variables to guess, engine/gearbox mount would notice if you went through the revs with the car stationary, only rolling/suspension stuff would be speed dependent, try dipping the clutch/putting it in neutral whilst the vibration is happening to see if its engine related.

Have you had new tyres fitted at one end?, 4WD systems don’t like it if the difference in tread depth is great, it changes the rolling radius & the car thinks one wheel is going faster than another.

Tanks for all the replies, some food for thought there, a bigger or second tank would probably be the cheapest way, but the boiler is old, no idea how old as its been here since we moved in 13 years ago, so now may be the time to change.

there seems to be just that going on over on the classifieds at the moment, but the seller is very open about not being arsed to sell it all individually and aware that someone a bit more ‘time rich, money poor’ will do that at a financial profit to themselves.

But it is totally genuine though, & I will be giving a cut to STW should it come off.

The best bit of advice I can give you is to keep it friendly, there is absolutely nothing worse than some ****t telling you what you will do for them, or walking straight in & demanding a discount because car dealers are fceked.
If you must tell white lies, then tell them that you have been told to look for a car now as the deals are just so great, but you only want to buy if you feel your getting a great deal, other wise you’ll keep your current car(which you were going to give to your brother or something).

Trusty, the Kona A is the SS FS of choice for those that way inclined, I think the klien would be a pig, but if I remember rightly Matt @ singletrack tried to do one when he was at chelmer cycles.
