I know your a bit weird Mark, but WTF is that rubber flap about?
Is that what you stick your knob in now the frame is built?

    ;)

Well I never, I bow to the infinite wisdom that is STW.

The hole measures 20.9mm, or 8/10’th of an inch, so it looks like it could take a cartridge.
What would happen if said cartridge was placed in it, would it fire for real? I thought the lip of a cartridge was supposed to stop the thing from taking flight, what happens when there is no way of stopping it & no barrel to aim it?

I bet it would be messy :)

Well done sssimon, I can’t believe you got it so quick, did you cheat & search my post’s?

Anyway, enjoy the pint, anymore mystery frames/parts about to have a guess at?

Cheers, but signal showing max, I’ll give the G spec a go, if I can find the flipping option, it can’t hurt.

You should get a job in freelance MrT. If I bought one of those lights the first thing I’d do is post it to you for modding

I already did, Trout is a top bloke & very clever, for the money he has suggested it’s a proper bargain, why wouldn’t you? :)

Sorry, I don’t want to appear antagonistic, but really, get over yourself, I’m not selling clapped out cars to chavs & Bosnians, with the stuff I sell the customer has a lot more to lose than the insurance company, I was merely pointing out that it WAS possible, I didn’t want a fight.

Sorry again, needed to make a point, have a nice evening.

TLH, it’s not like I sell £500 cars, people who buy the stuff I sell ALWAYS have insurance, sometimes they buy on the spur of the moment & although they are covered by making a phone call, they don’t have a covernote, it not exactly crime of the century is it.

Worst, daf 44, just don’t ask

Best, couldn’t possibly say, but my god I’ve driven some nice cars, Aston’s, ferrari’s, lambo’s, nobles, TVR’s etc, oh & the odd Porsche ;)

A trader *CAN* tax a car using their covernote, it’s not the right way to do it, but it can be done by filling in the green slip (V5C/2) with their details & then just fill out the main V5 in your name & post that off to the DVLA for the new owner details. If you really needed to you can tipex out the V5C/2 & write newe details over the top, but you rarely need to.
    Cheers.

Trout, well done for staying up & doing some beam shots, they don’t look to shoddy :)

Bad news about the charger though, how hot should a chrger get?

    Cheers.

PP try http://tinyurl.com/DXlight It may work?

Trout, I forgot to say I thought a potential weekness may be the wire getting damaged when fitting & removing the O ring bar clamp over time, that and the useless flash mode instead of a real low output that you could use onroad.
    Thanks again.
    Cheers.

Top review Trout, great to see a honest review from someone who is liable to lose out from doing so. Many thanks for doing it for me, & of course sorting it out.
Now, when can I have it back ;)

    Cheers.

If you email the details I’ll ask someone I know who deals in motor homes how much he thinks it should sell for, I won’t speak to him until next week though.

Many thanks to you all, it seems the best thing I can do is fit a heavy door with a seal, best I speak to these guys[/url].

    Thanks again.

Many thanks for the replies chaps, & the very kind offer from the notoriously bad typist, thanks for that, but I’m sure you understand women, plain doors won’t cut it ;)
I hadn’t heard about airtight door seals before, do you have a link to somewhere with info? a solid door with airtight seals could prevent me from having to rip out the frame if fire doors a that much thicker.

All the best to you all, thanks.

The wall in question is brick & plaster boarded each side, so it’s possible most of the noise is coming through in between the door & frame, but it seems the actual door is the main culprit.
I’m really looking for a ready made solution if possible.
    Cheers.

Off original topic, but the song in this one sounds familiar, could Lilly Alan be ripping songs off?

Some great advice from JT as always on this matter, just to add a one box solution for your sound, don’t bother with bluray, it’s not worth it unless your going home cinima.

I’m sad that ‘respected’ members of STW are arguing over the rights & wrongs of what should have been a marque of respect for something that 99% of us would not ever have the courage to do.

Cheers for the reply, I know most see this a thinly disguised ad, but it’s not, I have no need to sell it.
It’s like anything you granny has in the loft, it probably cost loads back in the day, but worthless now, I found an old iron in the loft when I moved in, I think he still might be up there living off the cold water tank…

I thought TWBB was great, although the story was a little drawn out, you could just see the frustration boiling, & the end was justice, great cinematography as well.

MC, I think your saying you don’t like big dogs?
I have no real affection for Rottwillers or Alsatians as they are bread to do a job, it doesn’t mean they are no good at what they do, certain breads are just meant to work, it installs fear in you as that is what they predominantly do, but they can still make great pets if they are trained right.
All I’m saying is the dog is what you make it.

TBH that shock pump by his hand has to be paid for, I don’t quite see why the shop owner has to pay for your forgetfulness, yes it would of been a nice gesture, but then how many times in a day can you be nice without earning money, bills have to be paid?
It always gets me when people come in expecting something for nothing, I’ll give you a great example…

A bloke phones up whilst I’m by myself trying to juggle a customer potentially buying a £40K car, with running a workshop & dealing with people coming in to collect cars from service, & answering the phone’s.
Bloke calls & says he needs a brake light bulb for a car he has bought elsewhere (this is important), he has been to the petrol station & the local halfords, but they don’t have the right bulb, he wants to know if I can help, me wanting to get him off the phone ASAP (because I have more important things to do) suggest the local dealer about 10 miles away. He insists this is inconvenient as we are just down the road, I told him to come over & see if we could help (99% we could) he asked if I could check first, I politely declined!
Anyway, bloke turns up 5 minutes later & interrupts me whilst I’m still with the customer looking at an expensive car, so I direct him to the workshop who fixed his problem in a few minutes.
The bloke then asks me how much he owed (fair play) & as I’m busy I just tell him to give the ‘boys’ a drink (still with customer), he then asked them what a drink was, they just said whatever you want, he then asked for £5 change out of a tenner as that was all he had. So they had to go & get change from a shop…

The ‘bloke’ was driving a £130,000 car, go figure…

I’m at a loss as to why The-milkybar-kid is selling a set at below cost, why not just order one set in the first place?
Mine are on route, I ordered over a week ago when they didn’t have stock, but it got posted a few days ago.
I guess I’ll have to wait & see.

Trout, if they are really badly put together, would you be willing to sort it as per MTBR for a reasonable fee?
    Cheers.

Munqe-chick, seriously get over it, 99% of dogs are good with people, it’s the rest that make you scared.
Would you get in a car, or on a plane, or cross a street? your chances are worse in almost any everyday situation.
Saying that I have an irrational fear of toads/frogs, I just don’t like the way they jump, or scream when they die ;)
Get one if you think you would be able to dedicate the time to it, but take it to training courses & make sure it knows who’s boss. In this situation I would recommend getting a puppy from a trusted breeder, a rescue dog will likely to have some sort of mental trauma attached, so best left to those with experience of dogs.
    Cheers.
