Ice from gladiators is the one I most like,

lovely women who never once played the card, her dad did but she seemed embarrassed by it. I also met/meet a lot of BBC contracted staff as I’m close to Elstree studios & when they get a few quid they seem to fancy a nice car, the worst was Nick Berry, proper tune he was 🙁 *

    * I may be going back a few years.

I bought my Thomson dropper from them, fast delivery considering. I was sceptical but as they were the only ones with stock of the 27.2mm I thought I’d give it a go, loads cheaper & full retail packaging if that makes any difference.

    Cheers.

    Stop paying then?

I take it you understand the increased risk involved with owning an 11 Y/O heavily inbreed BT right?

TBH they all suck, the rates will rise rapidly when they get older, I pay over £100 PM for a pair of Border Terriers, in fairness the KC paid out a fair whack (on the first months free insurance) for the older one when she was a pup & broke her leg, but they have had their money back (2k) & then some by now, but once you have claimed its a risk to change insurer.
If I was to start again I would self insure in a separate account & only take any money out once the dog passes.
    HTH.

Interesting, like any suspension design there seems to be many variations on the theme, I’m sure it will be great.

    et voila…

Wow, 40mm of spacers, inverted stem (bullshit(80’s movie reference)) & 30mm risers, quite a combo! 😉

Didn’t the patent expire in 2013?

The wheels are still round as well. Lazy feckers.

Worse still they still use the obsolete size on the Suppressor 😕

So to improve the current crop of bikes they have adapted a design from the early 90’s, not that there was ever anything wrong with it, but it’s hardly progress is it 😉

I would look at how many food businesses had changed or folded in the area, it’s a saturated market & people are now looking for value unless you are in “the” local area.

Not great, but had it for years along with a shitty rusty riffle.

    I have built this

to ride when the trails harden up & I have had enough of being shaken to bits by the rigid HT.

I have not even given it a shakedown ride yet 😕 but I plan to use it for everything not including actual jumping hence the wheels.

I can report back in a few months if you like 😉

    I previously in 2006 & 2007 built a Sanchez & an Azonic

But didn’t really use either as they were heavy, harsh & to damn small 🙁

    Cheers.

    hora,
My reply was to daze asking a question, I have also said I wouldn’t buy the car in question if it could not be taxed.

    I agree about the documentation.

    Nope, I meant email.

    Cheers.

Edit, in reply to the below, throat hit is down to nic content & pg v vg, pg gives better throat hit. The kids are all about vapour production now so that’s where we’re heading.

Can the garage actually tax it for you now with the new rules? I didn’t think they could.

Yes, as long as they have the new keeper supliment part of the V5.

Hora, I so want to copy and paste our last email correspondence on the V5 subject in reply, but I really can’t be bothered to ruin a thread, so I’ll just flounce semi vocally.

I love STW, but some of the rubbish written on here & the constant backslapping of the regulars make me miss the old days, don’t get me wrong, progress is a wonderful thing, just maybe it’s not for me 😉

There are new rules for taxing a vehicle now, you need the V5C to tax it, it’s not dodgy, just unfortunate & I bet someone is getting their arse kicked over it.

    2unfit2ride

    Hora, your spouting again 🙁
The logbook,V5C, is not proof of ownership, anyone can apply for one & the registered keeper will be sent a standard letter to give them the opotunity to reject this, but if it is disputed then it can be resolved in court if need be.

That said I wouldn’t drive an untaxed car so I wouldn’t go ahead, and don’t worry about the finance thing, you can explain if needed.

    Cheers.

I have also sent you an email, I would like one regardless but what are the possibilitys of having them anodised black to match most bars better?
I know what your thinking, some people want the moon on a stick when I’m only trying to help them out, but if you don’t ask you don’t get right? 😉

    Cheers for doing it again!

I use a T mobile PAYG sim, £2 per day or cheaper if you buy multiples, but I only use it on holidays so it’s the cheapest way for me, the trick is to use a sim cutter to get it to fit the small sim models (my first ipad took a full size sim) as they don’t do a plan like that on a micro sim.

I like the look of these

I can’t justify £70, but if your a size ten then at £35 they may be worth a punt.

I’m sure you could so second hand & have lots of change!
But if your feeling generous & want to blow the lot I could be tempted to raid the spares stash & sell you some hope XC’s on 717’s & a KS supernatural 😉

No offence, and I wish you well, but one the minimum suggested donation is set at £10, when I put in £5 it would only let me log in with Facebook, I don’t want others to know what I do or who I give to, your choice I guess.

    /hijack mode on

Does anybody know when 27.2 Thomson Droppers will be available in the UK (CRC had 25/12/2014 but not now)

    /hijack mode off

I was waiting for CRC/Wiggle to get them back in, but from what I understand they will only be doing the new model in 30.9 & 31.6, so after asking on here I got an old model from alltricks.fr, they still show stock although they have put the price up 🙁

    Cheers.

One of those that only use a teaspoon of oil but fry them rather than bake them, probably more than you want to spend though 🙁

Edit, just had a look, try HERE.

About 22lbs, I can go lighter but then (to quote the late great Steve Worland) it turns into a spastic Bambi, thinking about it I should also quote that on the deft to heft thread 😉

I’m not about to unseat a tubeless tyre to align it up for you, it doesn’t bother me!
And no I won’t get it dirty, yet, waiting for dryer trails to use it & I’ll continue to not use my rigid 29er in this filth 😉

    Cheers.
