I have always aspired to Ti over carbon, on more than one occasion now it has proved to be a bad choice, on the other hand I’m glad I never sold my cheap 29er OO Scandal & the C456

    jivehoneyjive,

I’m so sorry that I didn’t see & thank you for your’e very informative post, so here’s a belated thank you from me

The shock I bought didn’t work out due to the seller measuring end to end & not i2i

I have bought another & I’ll update in due course.

    Cheers.

No, the scissors in the photo weren’t used to cut those stupid bloody claws, you know the all black claws that you have no idea where the blood pissing out all over the place ends & the dead stuff that makes a really annoying noise on solid floors stops.

I have just uploaded a good few pics if you click on the above, but this sums up the hassle of a Boarder like no other

As above, extending lead is a bad idea, also as it is a terrier then expect it to hold it’s ground on almost everything :(
My two have been great, frustrating, & a pain in the arse in that order, the SO hates walking “my dog” (the only other male in the house) but when I walk him he is (nearly) as good as gold off the lead, but a total PITA with other dogs on it.

    Strong characters take strong handling.

    HTH, enjoy.

I must say CE changes his tune to much, I mean the differences when he went from drive time to morning on R2 meant that I just couldn’t listen to him anymore, I mean he was the same bloke doing a show at just a different time of day, why the massive change? But to me it spoke volumes that he asked the “team” on the drive time show to go with him & they didn’t.
As far as TG goes I would rather that MLB went, the blokes a tit, now if Monkey got the job & the production team stopped trying to follow the TG script it could be great again.

A 2.7 boxster from 03 on is a great car for the cash assuming you start with a good one.

inside, it’s for 94 BCD FSA cranks so comes with the spacers moulded on to the ring.

Pic is of max tension, problem is with the lowest sprockets :D

I forgot to add that I had to put three spacers on to the drive side so the ring clears the frame, is that OK?

    Cheers.

The answer to the question & not to subsequent comments is Koni FSD shocks, Eibach progressive minimal drop springs & bigger ARB’s*, I have tried lots of kit over the years & have overseen at lot of suspension rebuilds on some top cars & driven loads, I’m not saying it the best handling but probably the best compromise.

    * If they do them for a Yaris?

    Cheers.

Cheers. That’s pretty insulting, given the level of some of the other arguments you can see, just on this page here, let alone the rest of the thread.

I’m trying to defend my livelihood, because that’s what this comes down to for me. Yes it’s self-centred, of course it is, this is the first time that the political process has directly and specifically targeted me, and my ability to earn a living.

You vote out. That’s fine: if you want to give me a kicking for being selfish, go for it.

It was not supposed to be personally insulting & I have no wish to give you a kicking, so sorry if you feel that way. I was merely stating my opinion on your argument, & that ultimately most people vote on what effects themselves & not vote for the greater good of the country.

    Cheers.

Mint’s linked statement on his own page is the least compelling argument I have ever seen, totally self centred & posted for one reason only.
I’m not saying I agree or disagree, & I do feel for him, but this is one of the reasons that it’s hard to make a choice on the matter, to much self centred bille spouted for personal gain & not enough conjecture, how is one supposed to make an informed decision?

Out of interest has anyone else had a call from the remain camp to presumably get poling stats?

It was the weirdest call ever, they asked if I was definitely going to vote & then which way followed by two quotes, one from the BOE & one from the House of Lords, I can’t remember the exact questions but they may as well have been along the line of “if we leave then we’re all going to die” & would you now vote “in”, if they are basing the poles on this then I think we’re stuffed*

    * now genuinely not sure which way to go after being previously sure I was “in”

Many thanks for the replies all, it’s now much clearer what the differences are, if only I was told they all do the same job as far as trailer towing is concerned, with cost & aesthetics being the only real differences

We have a Royal Atlanta 8 for the four of us, (same as other makes as many tents are) whilst massive, & even enormous with the awning, it has been nothing but a disappointment. The poles are crap & split, it leaks (I may of been asking to much as I was in northern France last week), thoroughly disappointed with it, OK it didn’t help that the kids burnt the groundsheet on the first outing with hair straighteners but overall I couldn’t recommend it as it’s really for the bin after only 5 or 6 outings.
That Hi Gear Oasis 6 that was mentioned before looks to be a really good idea, yes it maybe heavy & cumbersome but if you want to camp with kids & your other half actually only likes the idea of camping whilst constantly moaning about how the next tent will have built in 6 burner Arga & hot water with underfloor heating that can maintain 25 degrees then you need to be realistic in what you want V’s what is acceptable to them.

Start with listing the kit you have, your going to need a spare RCA output to get a decent active sub, but in short it will make a huge difference to the low end, but not midbass.

    Cheers.

    2unfit2ride

An active crossover requires a dedicated amp for each frequency, ie tweeter, mid, midbass, sub, & the same again barring the sub for the rear, that’s assuming you have space for an entire rear set up in a smart.

Edit, caps work with passive systems with one amp & multible speakers to stop sending the wrong frequency to an inappropriate speakers, ie bass to a tweeter.

Are you sure you have an active crossover with a cap?
I have never seen a car with that standard & if it was the rear channel wouldn’t be running the front tweeters.
Just what are you trying to achieve?

Decent sound in a car will cost… a lot!

F that. 500 for something that wasn’t very good in its heyday is stupid. I had a standard firebird and a delta 2 and si down the road had a freestyler. How much are Torkers going for?

Not as much as the DP it would appear

Hmmm, I really want one but I just can’t justify it, I already have a repro Team Burner on the wall that has never been ridden, I guess that is more iconic to most so I’ll just keep that I think…

I have an original 19″ Scandal frame & little used slide 29er fork currently set to 80mm that I want to sell, this side of non carbon it’s about as light as it gets.

Mark, I think around £1000 + is the norm, probably double at Audi, it was about 15 hours work ( maybe 10-12 if you had done it before a few times)+ £400 for the bits, no issues with dsg so far.

    Cheers.

jambalaya, when I’m driving 911’s I get about 24mpg in the same driving conditions, a lot less if I don’t have to pay for the fuel, so I guess the Audi is economical

Oh, you can fit a roof rack with a box & bike carrier so why change!

Richard, I should add that I bought all the bits from Audi as I didn’t want to do it twice, it would of cost me a lot less through ECP or the like but I didn’t want to risk it
