HT all the way sold my FS for well, being too easy! There is nothing better than beating one of those smug twunts on FS bikes down a nice big rock filled decent ie Walnar scar. It's even better when they ask to go in front because they are on an FS bike like it's a god given right, an you still catch them up.

So HT for the sh1ts and giggles which is MTBing and full sus for those who want to make it easier.. yawn boring!

This topic is in the same league as flat pedals v's Spd's…

good luck on getting people to agree with you lol

just make sure you do it in the right order, ie start with the volunteer section to minimise going over the same tracks and the route works better this way.. will be there tonight! BRING MIDGE SPRAY!!

Grumm your right Preston LL is miles away, around 10 or so. As for Merlin they aren't to good at face to face Customer service, ie it's like I pissed on their chips by being in the shop at times! anyway they are a million times better than Leisure lakes who are VERY poor when it comes to service. Preston could do with a decent bike shop such as Wheelbase in the lakes.

Those who have loads of kids yet don't work and WILL NOT WORK because they don't have too! Why the phook do we as a country make it so easy for these scum bags! **** mugs me off!

Preston does have some bike shops just they are aimed at either road or the average Joe biker. Leisure lakes has a Preston postcode an Merlin does I think? You could open one yourself as I am sure it will be busy! I have Ribble close to me but never use it due to the road bike nature to it.

Ride Gisburn in a figure of 8 starting from Cocklets hill heading towards the volunteer bit near school lane

Also from Preston, lots of nice riding around this way, as many above have stated Gisburn and Rivvy as well as all the other Pennine routes. So I am in the Peaks in an hour as well as the lakes and Yorkshire isn't much further! Other clubs are the Groovy tribe an Bogtrotters who are nice. A few of our friends are riding in Gisburn on Thursday evening.. more the merrier I say..

Also there is a dig on this sunday in the forest and fingers crossed we may have another section almost finished! Ps 10 am till 2pm or whenever you like.

Enter the forest via School lane and follow the road down to the main bridge.

It should be ok with a 130mm fork in, my bro has one and will be changing his rebas up to 120mm and I really don't see a problem.

I've had an "issue" on the last drop of the North face trail in the lakes. A family walking down the route with a dog (not on a lead) they seemed surprised when I came speeding round the corner! They looked like the ill informed type from the clothes they were wearing. I advised in passing that this track was a mountain biking route so best not to walk on it. This happened a year or so ago but it's only a matter of time before someone does get hurt badly. Good luck,

I assumed that this is what mobile phone cameras where for? You're never going to take a nice landscape pic on a phone cam then send it your friend are you? No you're going to send them a picture of a friend drunk or that girls arse that you slept with or your own turds whatever takes your fancy at the time.

Also I am sure most people have sent something rude or a bit blue to girlfriend/boyfriend why the hell not!

Yep 3rd the wrist wrap Pro,

Broke my left radius twice in the same place and the support works a treat. Not too bulky and I feel more confidant when using it.

I am also a "mature student" an I found that I didn't even use my NUS card as it was a total waste of time. Most of the shops don't take it and the ones that do are crap ie topman! yeah lets look like everyone else. No ta. Anyhow not many, if any bike shops offer a student discount. Have a look at the access to learning fund which can come in handy if you have previous commitments.

Try Holmescales active centre in the lakes. My Uni organised a day out there and all was great. Paint balling which was great using an old plane as cover. They have Quad biking 4×4 driving, archery and clay pigeon shooting. Also they may have a new zip line in which goes over a quarry!!!

I only have one bike. My trusty Kona which only takes a tyre change to turn it from a mountain bike into a commuter bike.

This worked at the world cup in Fort William.

Does sting when you get it in your eyes and does taste nasty but I didn't get one bite at all day with this stuff.

Well I wasn't expecting any real interest and to be honest Paul my brakes are, less than in mint condition. They work well but are a little scratched. Had the front one fully serviced by Hope only a few months ago and the rear is likely to follow in a few weeks. So what I am saying is the likely hood of us swapping brakes without me adding any money in is err slim to none. As for selling them out right this again won't happen.

Cheers tho, and the m4's are top when working

    good luck

I was up in the forest yesterday had a great ride out my bro crashed at slow speed after making a joke about some guys bike being really clean, karma is a bitch lol. I saw stumpyjon in the car park (would have popped over but you looked VERY busy getting all that gear in/on the car) Taka I think we may have passed as you were climbing out of the blue with your bro?

Also I've never seen the car park so busy!

Looking forwards to digging next week
