Doc, agreed WindowsMobile is't perfect, TouchFlow3Ds better though
I've had 4 htc's, personnaly never had and hardware/signal problems

I'm really looking forward to the Dream though, main 'cos it's Android
and I recon it should be mature enough now so will look very closly at that once it's out

I got caught a few years ago on a dock road
private road, not adopted, maintained by port authority but the police are explicitly allowed in to apply normal laws

I was in a call out as the computer systems had crashed
Court appearance, got 6 points and £350 fine 🙁

port security do their own speed traps too, 3 strikes and your out!

    http://www.zcars.org.uk/index.htm do some Motorbike conversions

If you do it you'll want to make the Puma a light as possible though
most that I've seen have been made rear wheel drive too
e.g. Mini's (Classic), Smarts cars For2's and Coupes

Will you be short on time at camp on the OMM?
are you trying to save the world by using 2 gramms less gas for each litre of water boiled?
would you rather have a lighter smaller pack on the OMM?

I'd go smaller and more compact, time's not and issue and your not going to save the enviroment with one especially when you take into account the extra material used additional weight in transporting 'em etc

jet boils are great for car/base camping but not on an MM IMHO

Is there much on, on the Sunday or will it just be wrapping up?

Unfortunatly I've got a Race on Saturday which has been booked for some time
so can't make it, might make it for the evening though depending on how I feel afterwards

Ash'll likely ride plenty + drink a teams worth of Cider on his own!
wouldn't be supprised if he nie on covers bar costs on his own

unlikly to be many of any boggy bits

I have and ME one too, good piece of kit
All I'd ask is what extra are you getting with the TNF?
    my answer's Nowt!

unless you just have to have that lable 🙄
I do have quite a bit of TNF kit myself btw but only buy it when I feel I'm getting something over the competition for the extra £'s or in sales

    not always a paper exercise

I was 'At Risk' a few months back
The Company selected about 60 positions to go total compulsory
It was in the pot for 2 of 7 in my department.
At least 10 people were 'saved' in a form out of the 60
Not one went in my department in the end, some cut hours voluntarily and a number of sabbaticals meant all 7 in my department are still employed.

    Sometimes things work out

A few people here had asked for sabbaticals just last year to be turned down,
So some happy people at the end of it

Not everyone I know, some that went were happy too some had big pay outs, some not so big but walked into new jobs pretty soon with money left in their pockets

So don't give up hope, there may be options

    good luck

Yeah I wore the inside of the heal out in my one and only set of Inov8’s too at Calderdale a few years ago.

They fit some people great, they don’t fit a lot of people at all!

Agreed on the shoe front, dont worry about gait
and don’t what ever you do, do it in road shoes they’re too high!
they’d actually make it more likly to twist your ankle

something nice and low, yep inov8’s are very personnal
I tried ’em once, not for me
La Sportiva’s are nice, Montrail or even dare i sat it a Walsh

Don’t get caught up trying to keep up on the decents
run your own race and enjoy!

A Mates Brother inlaw met a muslim bird and ‘Converted’ so the family would allow the marrage

However when her parent aren’t about they both drink and smoke, and she dresses rather differently too.
As soon as her parents disapeard at my mates wedding she disapeared wearing a very modest dress and came back in a pretty skimpy revealing little number with a bottle of champers as she had some catching up to do :-0

if she’s Muslim like that the go for it, if she’s in the burka I’d pass personnaly

    Hi all

Pics from a few weeks ago from the little plot I’ve got in the back garden

The Potatoes, Broccoli and Toms have since become Tryfids!
First year we’ve had a go at all this and think I tried to cram a bit too much in to small an area
The Potatoes and Broccoli are crowding my onions carrots and lettuce’s

    Q?
Can you just keep trimming Rocket and it come back ok?

    Front rings are the culprits!
I cleaned and lube’d the chain + changed the middle ring
For a cheapy new one I had lying around in the garage and all is well

New Middleburn Middle and Outers rings ordered from CRC
It’ll be sorted and ridable for the weekend 8)

    29erKeith
    Free Member

I’ll give the chain a lube, try that as I’ve not done it yet

If not I’ll change the middle ring

I think it’s doing it in the top ring too, which is a middleburn hardcoat which I don’t use massivly so would be supprised if thats knackered too
I’ll report back in an hour or so

    cheers

    yep

the Helly Hansen adventure race series is always a very good start

MTB bit of a run bit Kayaking + some assault course type bits sometimes too depending on the course/location, no map reading on those
2.5 hours for the pros up to 5-6 hours for plodders, always a good day out
    or EnduranceLife events

or there’s TrailAthlons off road Tri’s

+ loads of AR which will have map reading too, sleepmonsters is the one stop shop for all of it really

Here’s my first 16 week program.

Week Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Total
    1 3 4 3 5 15
    2 3 4 3 6 16
    3 3 4 3 7 17
    4 3 5 3 8 19
    5 3 5 3 10 21
    6 4 5 4 11 24
    7 4 6 4 12 26
    8 4 6 4 14 28
    9 4 7 4 16 31
    10 5 8 5 16 34
    11 5 8 5 16 34
    12 5 8 5 18 36
    13 5 8 5 18 36
    14 5 8 5 9 27
    15 3 5 3 8 19
    16 3 3 Walk 3 Marathon 35.2

pretty light compared to a lot of programs with only 4 runs a week
but still it takes alot of you time.

if it’s a road marathon just make sure you do a fair chunk (not all) on the road, build up gently
    and get some good shoes!
you’ll love it, when it’s over anyway 😉
but give it a week or two after and you may well be planning the next…

    good luck.

apologies for the poor formating, my html’s not up to scratch to do it properly

nicko74 I was around that pace 3-4 month from my first marathon too
and did a 3:48 so yeah, sounds very do-able.

I’ll post up my original training program in a mo…
It was from a book called “The non-runners Marathon trainer”

Got me round in good shape.
