29er Rigid SS as opposed to a 26 Geared HT but a Scandal as requested
Can't remember the weight but it's pretty light even with the On One wheels
no much to it though tbh

Had this happen to me using a trackpump! 😯

about 40 odd PSI while seating the tyre

no broken fingers thankfully, but had a numb hand for about an hour, was in my garage at the time and was nie on deaf for a good 5-10 mins too
wheel milk went everywhere all over me and sprayed all over the garage ceiling and all

    bad tyre/rim combo, 29er Retard Rim with a SmallBlock8 don't try it

I've umm'd and arr'd about this one myself

as yet not had it done as I've been worried about the same problems too

I think it's known as 'Bridging'
My place is about 100 years old too and the old style bricks are pretty porous

I've got a friend who had it installed (again an old house) and ever since he's had a damp patch on a ceiling in one of his bedrooms apparently it grew out of the corner of the room by the extrnal wall the winter after he had cavity wall insulation put it.

Medium Humvee shorts fit me great
The supplied inner however is another story
The waist bands not far off the size of my thighs 😯 (and they aren't that big)

So yes liners seem to come up small compaired to the shorts themselves

No knowledge of the darkside though 😆

I'm not excusing it at all and I too have had some shockingly quick failures out of some manufacturers components but!

We do generally like a lot of the stuff we buy to be light
Which is obviously a major driver for the manufacturers too
I'm sure they could make a lot of kit more robust but the weight would go up and perhaps sales down because of it maybe

Also the manufacturers are working within some old standard sizes some of the time and also practical limitations on sizes e.g. BB, headsets… where they are perhaps limited buy those constraints
We’re also pushing our bikes harder, further and though more sh*t and bad weather than ever before

again not an excuse just a few thoughts

Oh and btw I have nothing at all to do with the cycle industry whatsoever
    And no I don’t drink Tango 😯

PS3 is top notch solution for the price IMHO for all of the above really
I've got a Buffalo Terabyte NAS to storge everything and stream music movies photos etc iPlayers fine for me to btw
all connected up to a Onkyo AV receiver and a KEF 5.1 set and it does everything I need really well. I'm no audiophile but it sound good to me

I've never hear the fan while watching a movie personnaly either

    friendly lbs

on one do cycle scheme but charge £100 for it I think
which chould be a bit cheecky if you spend less than the £1000
as the way I understand it they (on one) will effectivy pay cycle scheme 10% of the cost of the goods so could do well out of it if people spend less than the £1000 (I'd guess most spend close to the £1000 though tbh)

my lbs usually does me 20% off retail but on cyclescheme he only gives me 10%
as he looses 10% to them (still a bloody good deal tbh)
Next years cyclescheme opens for me next month, I'm planning a build and looking forward to it already

are hope doing 29er rims now?
    Didn't think they were

JustRidingAlong have Arch on hope hubs on the shelf though (£400 I think)

I emailed wheelpro about doing 355 29er on hopes to but got no response 🙁

I'm planning a similar 29er (niner Air9) build for next month too
    I'm thinking Reba Team

Once you've done the trails in the park go out the back and have a look around the old chalk pit some fun bits in there, beware can get pretty greasy in the the wet though

Head out on the SDW, you'll come to a small car park by road there's a trail going into the wood on the corner, a short way in to the woods come of the main trail and head to your right

I've had 2 pairs of Shure SE210s both replaced under warranty as after 6 months or so one of the head phones went out of balance twice
apparently not uncommon! wire breaks down apparently

They then upgraded me to SE310's all sounded great ('till they broke) I can't personnaly tell the difference so wouldn't have spent the extra ££'s

    great customer services

so bit of a mixed experiance personnaly

hadn't thought of that Will, cheers

Stif have just confirmed they are on Cycle scheme too

40% off again, can't complain, but can I wait until the end of September?
I need to wait until this years Cyclesheme is finished first before I can do it again 🙁
I'm itching to get one and do a 100% new build, so many options

I'll only be able to get £1000 on Cyclescheme anyway which realisticly is only going to cover frame and not much else so I might get shopping soon 8)

I do like the look of the Giant especially the alloy/carbon frame if they end up making that one, scott and the new specialized ones look good too
all are probably a way off though especially in the UK

bouncy forks are an option, but! I don't want to be changing forks/groupsets
all the time on my scandal as I'll still want to do the SS thing too
also aren't the new scandals all alloy now and not scandium (onone margin boosting)?
so a bit heavier and a harsher ride

I'll have a look into GF, Haro and salsa

    any niner riders about?

yep HD lcd as everybody else is suggesting

I'd recommend searching around and getting the best 'Shop price' you can, search the internet and just make sure the best price is an 'in store price'
Then give John Lewis a ring as they'll then price match
You then get a 5 Year warranty

I saved £200 on mine from the JL Price and got within £15 of the best price I could find anywhere on the net and got a 5 year warranty for the sake of a bit of googling a couple of emails and a telephone call.

    well worth it imho
