The RX-7 has aged very well, always wanted one of them after I got a shot of one and they have wankel (snigger) engines…

I’d say ditch that spoiler but defo get something in its place, car looks to plain without one.

Everybody should own or at least try an M car once, I had an E46 M3 last year and it was just insane, I have driven lots of fast cars but nothing like the M3.

It begged to be driven hard, the SMG gearbox with the steering wheel paddle shifters just made it feel even better, it had an appetite to be raced whenever possible and just wanted to headbutt the horizon or throw you round the next corner far quicker than you thought was possible.

Then there was the noise from the straight 6.. Wow! All grumbly and bassy below 5k, the screamed like a banshee up to 8k and went banzai fast, it had a kick at about 4.5k then another one about 6.5k that never failed to make me grin… God I miss that car!

That Santacruz Nickel on flat out cycles looks a bargain! And it’s my size!

That videos is ace, riding looks really good.. I’m off to check out the geometry and justify a new bike.

This is ticking many boxes for my next bike.. If I can just save up another £700 between now and May, I’ll have a small blue one with white forks.

Try some talc on the delicate areas before you set off, worked for me. I also like the funkier shorts.

No darker or less visible than the Mazda really, why would colour be an issue? The insurance company take all theses factors into consideration when quoting a price. I don’t think he was doing more than 30mph, Mazda should have edged out into road if the view was obscured by parked cars. Lamborghini driver had nowhere to go.

I had a 5 about 4 years ago.. Loved it and wish I hadn’t sold it, test rode a Heckler aswell but just preferred the Orange Grudge paying the money they are asking now.. Hence I’m bike less and looking at a deal online on Ibis Mojo SL’s.

Whatever you get I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

So the email address for 2pure is different to the one listed in eBay, am I being paranoid or would you expect them to be the same? I have emailed them back to ask if they know of the Edinburgh location.

May being a bit sceptical but better safe than sorry.

Just noticed the frames for £1499 are HD, makes no odds to me though. Don’t need the HD for my riding, don’t really need a bike for all I ride nowadays to be honest. However I’m justifying it to myself right now!

They are brand new and un used according to eBay. I guess it’s the 26″ wheels and the 1.1/8th headtube that making them hard to shift.

I have had the X fusion forks on another bike and was well impressed, never used the rear shock, SLX and XT is fine for me. Wheels and finishing kit defo where the costs have been saved, but like u said mate. Great frame, and IMO forks.

I have impressed myself, used to deliver the fuel for the Ferry on a regular basis, sailed a good few times from there aswell.. Had many a rough sailing to Stornoway!

Definitely go for it mate, you will only regret it if u don’t. My only real regret I’d not re-applying for the Marines when I was younger. Passed all the tests, did my PRMC and passed, went in to careers office on my return to get the joining info and was taken aside and told the doctor had made an error on the paperwork. Nothing they could do apart from advise me to reapply.

Still have the itch to scratch but a dodgy shoulder and knees would put the marines out for sure. Considering the RN reserves though.

Done all that aswell mate. Only 1 hour from Aberdeen, I spent a day going round handing them in, asking to speak to somebody in HR, maybe I caught them all on a bad day.

I phoned loads of companies asking for the name of the head of HR and was met with closed doors as usual.. I have a good manner and can speak very well on the phone so not sure where I went wrong.. I dressed smartly and was polite when i visited the companies.. Same results.

I have tried pretty much everything people have said and I’m no further forward.. I don’t see how the industry can hope to attract new blood if this is the attitude of the agencies and companies.

Apologies for the thread hi-jack, I really have a passion and interest in the industry but I’m totally unmotivated now as I can’t see a way in.

I’m happy to act a numptie to get offshore..

Good luck to you mate, I am desperate to get offshore, have been trying for the last year with zero success. Must have sent off 40+ CV’s, I can count on one hand the amount of responses I have had.

I tried agencies aswell and got no promised call back or reply emails, despite trying countless times. I even signed up to a careers day at the Aberdeen conference centre but was emailed by the organiser saying I would be denied entry if I turned up as I didn’t have a degree.. Or experience! I wrote a letter to the press and journal paper but it wasn’t printed, also replied to the organiser saying I was disgusted with the treatment I received.. Never received a reply.

I understand I have no experience but I have a real interest in the industry, I’m willing to start at the bottom, I know what path I want to take, I have done the courses, I have spoken to people I know in the industry… They can’t help.

There is talk of a shortage of people to work in the industry.. Certainly not the impression I get. Jobs for the boys is what it looks like to me.. I felt I was banging my head against a brick wall..
