    I’m sure he will!

His name will be in lights at the local looney bin aswell.

    “U da man Bruv”

I hope he gets what he deserves, what is wrong with some people? How is that justifiable behaviour, even in your clearly moronic and dis functional brain.

I’d quite happily “interview” him in a room with just me and it ( can’t call it a him because it is clearly from another breed of cowardly, stupid and insensitive animal).

How utterly repulsive and disgusting! What the heck is the country coming to when we can’t raise funds for war veterans past and present!

I bet the perpetrator feels like a proper “man” now. Doing his bit for the halfwits of this country!

I hope somebody finds him and burns him!

    Arsehole!

I get so angry at these things…

Cheers boggles.. I have been very strict with my exercising. I’m glad I did the boring stuff because now I can progress to fun stuff.

Thanks for the support, looking forward to getting out aswell mate.

I have the tcx slr 2 and can say I’m delighted with the build quality. Yet to ride it due to injury mind but it looks ace and is good value for money.. Especially from pedal on with the podium points for free stuff they do!

Yip.. Was given the green light to ride. He is more than happy with my progress. I’m walking without a limp, can weight bare 100%, this week I’m doing some light running on a small trampoline at physio, doing some single leg exercises aswell. I was on the cross trainer after 4 weeks during one session.

I am aware they can’t keep pulling hamstring ligaments and if this graft fails I’ll get another, if that one fails then it’s a new knee. Everybody heals at different speeds it would seem. I wouldn’t do something my physio hadn’t ok’d or I didn’t feel I was capable of mate.

I have spent a long time unable to do the things I want to, so to jeopardise it all for he sake of riding my bike would be incredibly stupid of me.

Cheers guys, it’s telling me to build up the time on the bike slowly. It was a bit achy when I first woke up but it’s settled down now.

I had the hamstring graft replacement. It was very tight to begin with but surgeon said better that was as it will stretch and still be strong.

Still can’t totally bend knee but I can bend it enough to walk normal, weight bare and cycle so happy days.

Cheers mate. Yeah seems to be the case with me anyway. I have been pretty strict with the exercises, even if I’m knackered and can’t be arsed I have gone and done them, even doing some press ups and light weights has helped to keep me motivated.

Planning another cycle tomorrow night or Thursday if the weather is good.

Tinkering with them and cleaning after a good days riding. I could easily spend a day stripping, cleaning and rebuilding a bike that really doesn’t need it.

When I’m on the bike I can actually feel the stresses and strains frittering away with every pedal stroke. Also love the buzz I get after a good DH or fast singletrack but of trail.. Early winter morning rides are pretty damned good aswell..

Through rose tinted glasses it would be my Trek Y22.. Just because I loved the way it looked. In reality it was probably my Orange ST4, went uphill very well and came down hill quicker than a dose of the tex ritters! Was immensely quick through flat singletrack aswell.

I did however learn and push it more than I have ever done before on the Orange 5 I had.. Bit of a slog going uphill but really nice to fling down the other side.

I have had 3 Cotic Souls though and the current frame is in it’s 3rd stint under my ownership. So I guess the Soul must be up there aswell. Just feels right for the riding I do and love the way it looks and handles.

Ideally I’d have an ST4 and the Soul.. But I can’t justify both.

So to sum up…. I have no idea which one I like(d) the most… Sorry!

I have no idea how the country functioned before you came along.. We are all in awe of your awesomeness! Why not put your carpentry skills to use and build a box big enough for your adonis like body and massive head/ego and go and live in it until you old enough to realise the world doesn’t revolve around you and your puddle jumper of a car.

Please keep on posting though OP.. You are worth your weight in gold for comedy value alone.

Wow you are an angry little boy. Do your mum, dad and councillor know you are up this late?

For for info I don’t work in an office, I go out there and get “shit” done. Have done so since I left school. Clearly your A in English is wasted or complete bollock as ou would know it was “were” not “where” in your last post directed at me. I may be a retard but at least I haven’t wasted the tax payers money on further education only to turn out like a jumped up little turd!

Come back when you have gained some life experience, manners and a general clue about life.

Oh and as a final note…

You “bought” your car… You didn’t “brought” it.. That would indicate you took it with you somewhere.

    Back to school my friend.

Especially in the Raider spec.. I know a guy who had one. Huge fun.. When it worked!

Also a fan of the Clio Williams. I had a Mk2 XR3i in white with 90 spec RS Turbo spoiler and sideskirts, TSW Venoms, dropped 20mm, full Janspeed stainless steel exhaust, K&N induction kit, uprated brakes and some engine mods. I love that car but it was as rotten as a really rotten thing.

I was 19 and it was my pride and joy.

I suspect a lot of Novas ended up on their roofs in ditches..

I know a few guys who put 2.0 16v Astra Gsi engine in them and a few Calibra Turbo conversions… My god they were quick!

The boy racer in me still likes them mind you.. Aswell as Escort XR3i’s and RS Turbos.

Would like a track ready Nova to thrash to death.

Wow.. You are the ultimate of awesomeness. Your banter is the bestest! Wish I could be as witty as you. I dare say the majority of people on here have skidded further than you have currently driven.

But you keep the massive chip on you shoulder.. It’s definitely all about you!

Nobody else on here can drive. Please stay and educate us. We love you.

Does your ground have neon lights underneath it to make it extra rad?

I did an intensive course to pass my test, I had some practice in my dad’s car for a few months then had an hour every day for a week and a half.. Started on the Monday and was passed by the following Thursday. That was 15 years ago mind u.

I had a Nova 1.2 diamond (with electric windows don’t u know). Cost me £1200 to insure, these days I pay less then £250. Marvellous!

Well this has gone all sensible again! I was hoping for more “banter”. I originally thought troll, then I thought nah.. He will be full of awesomeness being so young, educated and rich. Hasn’t posted for a while so I assume he is out spitting on chavs or fitting a boom box in his boot so he can get some tunes pumping!

Running switch Evo hubs on my bike and can’t fault them. Finish is great aswell, I used to run holes but couldn’t stomach the price for the wheels I wanted. Running some Mavic XC717 on the hubs. Very happy I purchased them, saw myself about £100 compared to the Hope Hoops.. And quieter!

I had a set of Sektors on mine a few years back. I found them to be to heavy for the bike and made the front end to high and liable to wander on climbs.

I now run a set of 120mm Reba’s and think they are spot on. Saved a good bit of weight aswell. I also had the tapered headtube version and ran 130mm X Fusion Velvets which were equally as good as the Rebas. Only wnt for Reba’s as Merlin had a cracking deal on them.

    Evening all,

Quick update for those interested. Had physio today and despite my small mishap 2 weeks ago when I fell down some stairs my knee is making great progress.

Very happy with the movement and about of flexibility I have in the knee, very strong for a month on aswell. Was on the balance board and felt ok.. A bit stiff behind knee after it but no lasting pain.

Was also on cross trainer to see how I got on, that was fine aswell… So much so that he has said I can get back on the bike (just on turbo trainer mind u).. Well happy as it means the first ride of the new CX bike is a step closer!

I have been doing the exercises religiously.. Even after a long day and not getting in until after 21:00, and it has paid off. Feels great to know the hard work and pain has been worth it.

If anybody is currently going through the recovery or has it coming up… Just make sure u do what the physios say.. And don’t rush it!

Off to set up my turbo trainer now… Yippeeeee!

Morning all.. Sorry for the long wait before reply.

Knee healing up nicely, stitches came out 2 weeks past Monday, was back to work last Monday and spent last week in a fair bit if discomfort. Just couldn’t get comfy and not enough support for the back of knee when sat at desk. It is much better this week however. I was at he Physio 2 weeks ago and he said to practice going down stairs.. Which I duly started doing, 1st shot of doing it and my knee have out or I lost my footing.. And down I went! Knee buckled under me (like I was kneeling).. Thought I’d ruptured the graft as it was very painful and started swelling.

Went to Edinburgh on the Saturday with my buddy to collect his new bike and ended up walking about the Lothian Area looking at bike shops, I had my crutches mind u! Felt ok Saturday just a bit tired.. Then woke up Sunday to a lot of pain and loads of swelling. Just rested it and iced every 2 hours.

Monday through to Thursday wasn’t much better so was on and off the phone to surgeon, physio and GP.. End result was a trip to hospital for X-ray, MRI and examination with surgeon. Thankfully no lasting damage, just over stretched the ligament and it was a bit aggrevated.. They suspected I had torn the graft from the knee.. But a ligament test showed it was already very strong..

Told to rest it over weekend.. Which I did and thankfully it is now settling down again, off the crutches and back driving (not lorries tho).. Got physio again on Friday so I will get some new exercises to do.. Was told to stop stretching and half squat by physio after I fell.

    As a treat I myself I purchased a new bike… Obviously!

Got a 2015 Giant TCX SLR2. Arrived yesterday and delighted with it.

All in all, I’m glad it is done now. Feels strong and can put my full weight on it, still got tightness in the knee and it aches during the day, it also tires very quickly but I’m feeling good, can do stairs up and down (albeit sideways), and only have a slight limp when I walk, wound has healed up nicely but still a bit of swelling and feels a bit tender under the knee.

Sorry for long post.. Had a lot to tell. How is yours mate?

There is a thread about this elsewhere.. No way I’d spend £50 on protective tape.

    I have always used this:

    http://www.biketart.com/accessories-c5/bike-protection-c13/biketape-c124/biketape-invisible-bike-frame-protection-p5

    With no issues.

    Dan wins easily..

I had ACL reconstruction 4 weeks ago, healing nicely.. My knee did give out 2 weeks ago on stairs and I fell down. It was swollen again and very stiff and sore last week.

Called physio and he spoke to my surgeon who wanted to check it out, so off to hospital last Friday, X Ray and MRI scan revealed graft was ok and still intact.. Phew!

Left knee ligaments are very loose so will need done.. But not until they go! Right shoulder need surgery to reattach stuff to the shoulder.. Was meant to have it done last year but didn’t want to stop playing hockey.

Think that’s it for now.. Chicks dig scars though!

    Also had 3 back operations.

To the OP.. If u suspect u have torn or ruptured our ACL you need I get it checked out, it won’t heal on its own. U would know if u have ruptured it though! I dislocated my knee when I did it!
