Just one thing to consider about riding in Skiathos, you need to take your drink and food with you. There are literally no villages in the hills, absolutely nothing once you leave the main road in the south until you reach a beach in the north.

A bit of fun in a dreary world, some people need to lighten up.

Wasn’t a lot of the guitar sound down to using an e-bow?

Yep. Was a big fan of The Skids back in the day and loved SA guitar sound so followed him on to Big Country. Bought the first few albums and saw them live a couple of times, until music kind of fell off my radar (replaced by beer and girlfriends).

Stuart Adamson seems to have had a few demons and, as above, sadly gone too soon.

Jimmy Mulville may be less than wholesome as well. Protracted legal battle with/around Cycling Mikey (see YouTube).

Hill Street Blues was possibly my favourite ever TV series. More recently (and reminded by different thread on here) Roaming in the Wild was great a great “de-stresser” but sadly missing from iplayer at the moment.

Oh, and, let’s be careful out there.

I was looking at an Orro Terra S Steel but is limited to 40mm tyres. I will probably ride 80% shitty Hampshire lanes and 20% connecting paths, bridleways etc. Is 40mm. enough?  Is it a reasonable bike?

I’ve had the ally Terra and currently have the carbon Terra and love both. Currently running 700×37 which are fine for towpaths, bridleways and the half brick half pothole lanes we have round here. I can’t be bothered with tubeless and run at about 35 psi.

Excellent, as was series 1 and almost anything else by Jimmy McGovern.

Sorry, cant offer much other than my inner voice is screaming no at the thought of having to perform/contribute in a locked room half full of strangers.

Feel like the OP was making a throwaway statement about the brand rather than actually manifesting job losses like

You don’t really belong here, do you?

Have a look at Good Law Project. They are trying to tackle it but Sunak has apparently instructed the courts not to accept any legal challenges as it “isn’t in the public interest”.

On a recent CITB course I met a couple of lads who erected these things, both early 30’s, both f*cked and desperate to get out. Also both had witnessed a fatal collapse. Hugely stressful job mentally and physically.

Never mind that, explain to me why, on the Eurosport titles to any cycling programme, the cassette is on the wrong side! Or, more pertinently, why they thought it was a good idea.

We did Iceland in January and would recommend it to anyone but our Northern Lights trip was postponed on the first night due to weather, same on the second night, finally went out on the third night only to stand around in the freezing cold looking at cloud for 3 hours. So as above, not a given and summer months probably better.

.if you think £33 for 2 seals 2 foam rings etc is expensive which will most likely make your fork feel smooth again is expensive then the cost of living has bitten you harder than others .

Wow! Some people really have no idea about trying to live on a budget – bully for you mate.

Don’t know if this applies to the bike you’re interested in but I had Focus Mares CX bike. Nice enough bike but it had un-necessarily awkward and unique thru axles (R.A.T system) which meant equally unique fork and dropouts. I managed to damage one and it cost £60+ for a replacement. For that reason I would avoid Focus.

Appears to be in stock at Leeds white rose. I could collect that Monday afternoon and post same day if you still need a solution.

Use an old saw to cut it to width while it’s in the wrapper. And as above shears rather than Stanley knife for other cuts.

I’m by no means an expert but can heartily recommend the Salford Dark Spiced rum. Its on Amazon at £26 with 4.5 stars, likewise on Masters of Malt. Interesting bottle too.

Got chased out of a derelict stately house while ghost hunting. Got chased away from a farmers field for making a “den” in the crops. Got chased by grown ups for squirting their kids with water pistols. Got chased on the way to cubs by a dog. I did have some toys but seemed to spend a lot of time running. I wasn’t very fast though, the dog caught me and bit my arse. Probably deserved it overall.

Another vote for Hugh Grant in the Gentleman. Somewhere above Martin Freeman was mentioned. I can usually take him or leave but thought he was fantastic in The Responder when the standard choice might have been someone like Steven Graham.

Problem actually solved, an RC Hoonicorn so he can drift it round Tescos while she’s deciding which lettuce to buy: –

Is it a scam? I assumed second hand cars are fairly difficult to come by since WBAC, Cazoo etc made it so easy to sell. Regular traders probably struggling for stock. Could be wrong obviously.

Can anyone explain the rationale for this being so hard to understand?

If I was you or Mate 1 I would be slightly miffed. If I was Mate 2 the internal conflict of not sharing would be crushing.
