I had a similar incident on a pub car park and the police weren’t interested as it was on private property, ergo no road traffic offence committed!
Basically it boils down to you and/or your insurance co being ‘private detective’ to sort.
If you find out who it is you can threaten him with a private claim through a solicitor and that might force some cash out of him, or go via your insurance if damage > excess.

As said above, you need to get professional help.
I was like you years ago, bought cheap knee brace, then bought a better one …etc .. years later and knee is well and truly feked and I need an operation to sort and have a full on donjoy atm to stop it constantly dislocating.
I also find kinesiology tape works on the road bike, but need the proper support on the MTB.

I have a dilemma atm, been told I was getting a new frame under warranty as there was design fault in this years model and every frame sold being exchanged.
Just received a message saying the new frame will not be sent until I send a photo of my current frame with the top tube and rear triangle sawn in half!!!
I have 4 races in the next 6 weeks, so this isn’t getting chopped and having the stress of waiting for a delivery with a race at the weekend!!

A lot of WC DH and EWS riders are using them and the company is owned/run by Dave Garland / Stendec.

Good luck trying to buy one, I have tried a few times to get information and nothing received back!!

It’s 2hrs each way with no guarantee of anyone being there when I arrive, plus I haven’t got any free time in the near future to do the trip!

Never met him and I’m a bit annoyed as I found out he was at Ard Rock at weekend and I even said hello to him twice – D’Oh!!

    Stevie,
If I can recover my darkness dominator from Trout, would you be interested in trying to fix it for the appropriate recompense?

As a bit of an experiment to help them develop a course specifically for cyclists, I did an 8 week course at my local gym, 1hr per week, purely weight training. 3 min test on watt bike week 1 and 8.

Weights were quite light, squats, lunges, hamstring kind of stuff and I was quite surprised to find I gained 8% increase in power output for a 10% decrease in max HR.

It has convinced me that instead of slogging away on the turbo or watt bike for hours there’s better gains to be made for much less time in the gym.

I started using Vicks First Defence a couple of years ago and it certainly seems to work.

As soon as you feel that tickle or sore throat, start taking it along with paracetamol etc and the cold never really gets you.

You say ‘contact the organisers’, I have been trying for the past week and am getting no reply!!

I entered myself and 4 other riders and yes I admit I feked up and didn’t check one box, so there’s one rider with a diff start to the other 4, (3 hrs diff), I’ve been trying to get the odd one changed but fek all replies so far, so resided to try and sort on race weekend.

4 bikes, (5 if you include a replacement warranty frame), so far this year and the 2017 race bike will probably arrive before Christmas.

I don’t particularly like dissing people on forums, but I wouldn’t bother contacting Troutie to do upgrades on his lights, I sent my darkness dominator to him 5 months ago for repair as it stopped working and have heard nothing since despite repeated emails sent.
Someone else on here is in the same boat too, who sent his before Xmas!

Depends upon lots of factors, the major one being where in the country are you?

If you want to earn big bucks then the bright lights of the big Londinium city is where’s it’s at, but that’s countered by fekin stupid accommodation & transport costs, so you’re not really all that better off in the long run.
To be better off overall you’re probably better off looking at other more northern big cities like Manchester, Leeds etc.

… oh and the reason why us big boys have 6/8+ on them is because we have to fill in more fekin paperwork than you little boys ;)

I’m using all 3 methods atm, Procore, Deaneasy and ghetto using a road tub. Out of the 3, official Procore is a doddle to fit, the other 2 more hassle.

I race DH and gravity enduro and it’s def a game changer as wouldn’t dream of running pressures below 20psi prior. I now run 17.5 Fr and 18 rear whatever the terrain and grip is phenominal!
It’s just me needing to get used to it is the problem as I haven’t pushed it beyond it’s limits at all.

For normal use, if you regularly pinch flat or burp tubeless then I’d recommend it, if you’re getting by ok on tubeless at those pressures, then £100+ is better spent on good tyres and stans race fluid.

My wife’s got one and it’s a great for allowing me to get out riding!

Every Friday I ask ‘what’s happening this weekend’ and she normally says ‘I need to work on the allotment’, I’ll then leave it an hour or so and then book my riding passes :D ;)

So long as there’s no damage to the spokes then yeh, re-use them. Easiest way is slacken off all the spokes first, (don’t undo them from nipples altogether), then tape the new rim to the old so valve hole lines up and then just transfer nipples & spokes over one by one.

Been using official Procore and ghetto procore, (using a road tub), on the DH bike this season and it’s mint. Beauty of it is you use lighter folding ‘enduro’ tyres (~300g lighter), rather than the wired DH casings so you get a lighter wheelset.

Been running at 17psi Fr and 18psi Rr and grip is fantastic.

Yep, none in UK atm, I got some from there 3 weeks ago.
They also have the Maxxgrip & DD compounds.

They also have the folding Shortys which aren’t available in UK yet.

    For trails – Spank Oozy
For Enduro / DH – Spank Spike

    Brilliant wheels.

One of the funniest I’ve ever had was in 2004 in our local Thai restaurant, (in Lymm, nr Warrington), the day after the Thai tsunami.

We were sat behind a couple who were obviously on a first date and the conversation from that was V entertaining alone. The waiter came over to them, (who was actually the owner and is about 50yr old), and before he could say anything the girl started commenting on the terrible disaster and she hope his family was safe and not involved etc, etc. He then replied in his broad, Manchester accent, “Yeh they’re fine, they live in Altrincham”!

My mates and I have used Transat, (Canadian Affair same Co), regularly for the past 10 years from UK to Vancouver and never had a problem, have taken 2 bikes some years and again no problems.
I flew with Air Canada one year …. and they left my bike in Vancouver!!

Was over in Portugal last month with mates, I flew Monarch and filled my softshell bag to the limit with armour, shoes etc., no problem at check-in.
Mates flew with easy jet and did the same filling their cardboard bike boxes to the limit with clothes etc, however, at check-in Easyjet made them sign a waiver that any damage to the bike wasn’t their fault as it wasn’t in a HARD SHELL bike box.

I support a lowly Div 1 team and we have been celebrating this week as we have avoided relegation again, and I would love to see Leicester win as that epitomises real football winning and not who’s spent the most money!
I have been surprised and quite shocked speaking to Nitid, Liverpool & Everton fans who think Spurs should win as they are the ‘bigger’ club and it sends the wrong message out if Leicester win.

GoPro are 2nd to none IMO compared to other high end cameras, I’ve tried a few and always gone back to GoPro and currently use the Hero 4 Session.
HOWEVER, a new camera has just been released called OLFI which is around £120 and the quality of that footage is up there with the GoPro.

Does anyone live near him that can give him a nudge??

I sent my Dominator to him for repair months ago and getting no replies whatsoever to regular query emails :(
I’m getting to the stage where I’ll probably drive there myself to get the fekin thing back to see if someone else can repair it!! :(

I know a couple of people who have got jerseys from here http://www.stigmaracing.com/en/custom.
Good quality and pretty cheap too, (two costs were £24 and £27 per jersey)!!

If you just want logos printed onto jerseys you’re supplying, then SpiralGFX near Preston are the dogs, speak to Sean.
They print up a lot of the UK MX team tops, so graphics are top quality and hard wearing.

Noticed a few suggestions of cocodamol, but after I got prescribed that when I popped by ribs, I found that I suffer from the well known side effects of constipation and believe me you don’t want to be straining on the toilet with knackered ribs!! :(
