    I have one of these;
    http://rogelli.co.uk/shopping-cart?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=29&category_id=20

Packs down really small in it’s own pocket and fits in a cycling jersey pocket back pocket.

I have a few Rogelli items and all are quality clothing really cheap.

Squamish and actual North Shore in Van are worth visiting but you need a shuttle vehicle to enjoy the DH’s to the max, lot of pedalling and pushing uphill otherwise.

Out of interest if there anything that says you have to use the same bike for qualifying and race?

The DH sections aren’t much fun on a 4″ travel XC bike, got rattled to bits last night due to the braking bumps everwhere!!

POC is the comfiest body armour I have ever used, way better than the Dainese and 661 I have had in the past.

As an all round bike, the 6 is ace. Granted it won’t win you many uphill races but it will get you up to the top relatively easily and you’ll then be at the front on the way down, which is really where the fun is to be had :D

They will build up fairly light too if you do a custom build. I can get mine below 30lb with light wheels/tyres/seatpost etc and also change those for ‘enduro’ mode when I’m battering the DH’s more in the Mega etc.

I’m enetered Rds 1-4. Would have done all five but Afan clashes with Fort William BDS DH Series which is a bit silly really since they will lose entries because of that.

Really good service, took my wife’s and my bike on 4 flights with them with no problems whatsoever, although our bikes were bagged up….and yes they allow bikes on unboxed.

They supplied the plastic bag to put it in, (not sure if you had to pay for it). Just turn the handlebars, take off pedals and put it in the plastic bag. We pre-booked our bikes prior to check in as it was cheaper that way.

PBK were selling off their own brand ones cheap a while ago, actually made by De Feet and good quality.

The only cross compatibility on the rear is SRAM Attack/Rocket shifters will work with a shimano mech.

Permanently separated L shoulder collected in 2002. I wake up sometimes and my collar bone has hooked over the top of my shoulder blade. Dosn’t hurt and the Doc says he can operate and stabilise it when qoute “I grow up and stop doing stupid things on my bike!”

Also have totally blown ligaments in my R knee and it dislocates if I bend my knee with my foot turned. I especially notice this going up stairwells as you do that exact action on landings and I have caused a few raised eyebrows in the past as I suddenly hop out of the action to try and stop it going. Or if it does go, the vomit inducing ‘clunk’ as I pop it back in by straightening my leg 8O

Do not fear on the Commencal distribution front, better things are in the pipeline and a new distributor is already talking to Max on taking over 8)

Half Nelson in Squamish – 5 min DH pump track, leaves you wanting another run everytime :-)

After that I love original Sin top section leading into Goats Gulley http://www.pinkbike.com/video/150520/

    Bearings are 6805.
google, ebay, BETD, look around for best price or local stockist. I got a bag full off ebay for £10 that has done 4 BB’d so far.

The hardest bit of the job is removing the plastic top hat whithout snapping it, which can be pushed out fron the inside of the have an appropriate socket or drift. If it does break they are available on CRC.

Just buy some bearings and do it yourself it’s easy. Bearings only cost a couple of £ each.

Yep just knock it through, I use a wooded mallet on mine.

Rather than replacing the whole BB with a new one, just replace the bearings on the old one. Job done for under £10 :D

Good old school race, pity there wasn’t more entries. Brought back memories of the 90’s and I’d forgotten how much your legs hurt from all the pushing – ha!

Also top marks to Steve Deas for marking out a little gem that used something different from the well used ‘sterile’ tracks down the hill.

My mate and me have had ours for 18 months and our batteries were starting to get a bit tired, they would cause the light to ‘dull’ after about 45 mins.

We’ve both bought new batteries and they’re going fine again.

Push up path to first fire road is about half the distance. We walked up the push up at the enduro the other week and beat riders who we started off with, who rode up the xc track.

It’s got that nice ‘bluey’ tint which implies the tyre has ‘gone off’ and has hardenend and therefore will shred quite easily.

Happens when the tyre loses it’s moisture as the oils in the tyre evaporate due to exposure to sun, heat etc.

Tyre may not have been fitted long but it could have been hanging around for ages in the workshop or even stored incorrectly.

You can get chemicals to rejuvanate/soften tyres that are starting to go off as used by racing boys, but they’re expensive.

Come on people get yer entries in :D
The enduro was a brilliant event, chilled out and great fun, this should be just as good without the big pedally bits – ha!

Actually they are about the same as any other race

SDA have helmets and spine protection mandatory, BDS have helmets and gloves mandatory. U18’s generally require full protection mandatory in both series.

The enforcement of knee and elbow guards for all is not the Norm. You are penalising yourself by implementing this rule and stopping potential ‘grown up’ clients from entering.

It’s a win / win solution if you relax the rule.

Check the mandatory protection requirements, they are more severe than other UK race requirements and it’s stopped a couple of my mates from entering as they don’t like to wear the stuff.

I agree it should be mandatory for U18’s but grown ups can surely decide for themselves?

I run a 11-21 road cassette and a 105 SS mech on my DH bike with no problem.

I put an 11-34 mtb cassette on last week and that worked fine too.

I too suffer from terrible cold feet and tried numerous permatations of sock / shoe / overshoe and have finally solved my problem by using disposable toes warmers – ‘Little Hotties’.

I now just wear a pair of normal cycling socks, toe warmers and waterproofed shoes, (either MW80 boots, or normal summer shoes with MT500 overshoes). Ok it costs me ~ £1 per ride, but my feet are lovely and warm now :D

I was thinking of getting a Montane but all the reviews say it’s just a ‘boil in the bag’ and you end up just as wet from perspiration than getting rained on!

    Minions without a doubt.
We tested some down a long Str hill a couple of years ago. Just sat on the bikes from a standing start and free wheeled down the hill without pedalling and the minion shod bike won every time with 4 different riders.

    Absolutely pointless.

Business has nothing to do with loyalty. If it was so important to them they should have stepped up their game a few years ago, this isn’t something that’s come out of the blue, they signed up to a limited lease.

I have to bid for work 365 days a year and get pissed off every day when someone else ‘buys’ it from under my nose.

Old chinese proverb say ‘Tough Shit Cookie Boy’!

If they are good as everyone reckons they will come bad bigger and stronger.

I’m not holding my breath though!
