Nick I was looking at that, posted a thread but no response. On reflection I think there’s better out there.

Get used to driving first. I only use the Satnav on my phone for the last 5% of my journey. I never have the screen on display as I think that is dangerous. Enjoy the drive.

Why did I like the look? I used my eyes and brain and thought I quite like that. I might build up a cheapish road bike.

just got back from a ride on my van dessel wtf, pros comfort, solid, handling off road, plough through where the cx wont and more like a mtb.
Cons way heavier than my old cannondale cx, slow and hard work on the road. Both good but very different beasts. P.S bb7 brakes v good 😀

Similar to the fago but can take belt drive too. I’d like to try belt drive and alfine but don’t have funds for that.

I’ve got a Cove handj_b brilliant frame light and very good just not using it these days hence I might sell it. Best bikes owned Gary fisher Hoo Koo e Koo steel and my first proper bike Gary fisher Aquila. Did love my early FSR though but get bored of ful sus quickly. Most steel bikes now seam to be moving away from the whippyness I enjoy.

I’m quite slow though! Before I buy I’ll try the front mechs I’ve got. Must admit on my CX bike I used the 36 t chainring more.

Thanks for the advice, it looks like a new front mech is now on the shopping list. What is a soft road tourer? Well my best description of what I want a touring bike to take off road and avoid roads when possible, sorry if it sounds cr@p.

Hope to get my lad on two wheels this summer. He does love his trike lots. Bike rides consist of round the block, then to the green to watch the busses go past, better than him watching them on you tube. Keep smiling 😀

Not the first dad of an autistic son to post on here tonight and so far nothing to upset me but had I read this 6 years ago i would have got angry and upset with some of your post's. It can be challenging living with autism in the family and it does change your life but would I want to stop my son being autistic I don't know, I would love for him to hold a conversation and him tell me his wants, desires and needs but strip him of his autism would be taking away the boy that I love so much. I hope some people will now take the time to fully understand how this disability can affect lives and be supportive and understanding. Please dont stop posting.

If you dont know your size go to a house of fraser and try on a few suits and find out what your size is. Then go to TK Max and buy one for much less. If you are thin dont be afraid of alterations ie 42 chest 32 waist dont be afraid of alterations but find a good tailor. Go into your local posh shop and ask who does your alts. You buy a suit of the peg on chest size then change the waist size. 38"/32" 40"/342 42"/36". Continental suits minus 10 eg size 50 = size 40" chest suit. I bought a beautiful Duffer of St George suit worth £350 for £125. just dont expect it to happen overnight at TK's.

I bought one 6 months ago, great car but maybe not the best place for a baby. Very small back windows, quite dark and will be a mare getting the seat in and out. I've got a Berlingo as a family car now and the Puma as I have to use a car for work now. Try and find friends with a new born and see how much stuff you have to carry round. Pram, travel cot, steriliser, nappies, blankets, monitors, etc etc not all the time but one night away with our first child filled a Renault 5 boot and back seat so we could only just fit in. Mines 10 years old 55k and looks like new bar the little bit of rust coming through on those back arches.
