A mtb would end up being too dear unless someone has a 13″ single speed for sale. Due to learning difficulties gears are out.

Sorry just got up, he wants it for general riding nothing more. He would benefit from a low weight. So I was thinking an aluminium frame. Thanks for the replies so far. What top tube length should I be looking for?

thanks I thought they were finished. The chap I spoke to said if you veer off the trail it’s littered with glass due to it being a old landfill sight.

Hi, My son was really good on his balance bike but could not pedal and balance at the same time. One day in bike shop with me he saw a trike got on and was away. So that months DLA was spent, he loved it. It is a Pashley Pickle. He is now riding a two wheel bike and uses his brakes a big one. So the Pashley is up for sale at £190. If it’s of interest let me know. Cheers 1 shed.

Thanks for the interest. Hope has got plans for a sequel. The rock climbing looks like fun, my son sometimes goes to a disability session he is great at going up but not down.

I went with a 26/46 with 170mm crank length. Works fine on my WTF monster cross. I think I might put a larger cassette on the back as I’m planning some light off road touring in the summer. Regarding crank length no problems for me.

Built up a Van Dessel WTF for similar reasons, more ride from the door than bike for life. Its quite heavy but good fun. I’ve ridden it round Delamere no problems, road and bridleways in Norfolk and plan to ride a easy short tour in Scotland this summer. 29r wheels, drop bars with 42/24 x 11/28 gearing. If you get the new bike built up how about a STW bimble to celebrate.

Glad you found all the different posts helpful, the group is geared towards Salford parents but we have had parents travel in. You can contact me through the website. If you want chat we could combine it with a bike ride. Stay positive and when you are meeting go in prepared / write down what you want to know ask. Cheers 1 shed

hi, A dad here who has a autistic son, so some experience. You have been referred to paeds which is good starting point to look further into his development. Has he been referred to speech and language? Your GP / health visitor can do this or self refer. Where are you based as I help run http://www.salford-action-for-autism.com My day job is within Speech and language working with children 0-5 in Salford. If you would like to chat let me know. This would be from a dads perspective not professional. In the mean time good luck and enjoy playing with him.

    If you are riding geared I went 2 x 10 42 – 26 front 12 – 27 back which suits most rides.

Got a van dessel WTF but I don’t think they are available at the moment, versatile frame but the important consideration is top tube length to accommodate the extra reach of drop bars. Monster cross bikes suit my off road rides now plus they look great.

Sorry didn’t realize its a continuation of the route, you don’t look at signs on your doorstep. Most riding from my door is a mixture of bike paths linked with cheeky paths not technical but fun. Get one the GM bike maps free. I also ride out with my kids and do some road rides too. Started doing some night rides along the old railway track, join me if you want email in profile. 1 shed

The problem is not the sellers price, the problem is not a forum user informing of a better price, the problem is the op’s reaction and subsequent fallout. Put it to bed and learn.

I think you have just made people very reluctant to buy from you now and in the future.

If family 1 shed moved in

    5 mins = ruffled

    1 hour = messy

    1 day = lived in

1 week = a big messy home full of love

It’s crying out for it. 😆

Yeah a whole mag but geared to MTB folk who ride road/ drop bar bikes. Most mags are just a bit meh.

Bar width and position of the hoods, I’ve gone with 44cm bars wider than you normally get on my size frame and a flat extension from bars to hood. Stay loose and elbows bent and use all the positions.

Yes really good and bike24, first time though bank didn’t authorise payment as I’d never spent large amounts abroad. May be worth informing them first.
