As for the course, well it was more or less all uphill/flat, but pretty nice and flowing in certain sections, not exactly an enjoyable course when you consider the location though, shame.

Just keep the pond, they’re a fantastic feature, far nicer than some decking and tarmac in what some people like to call a ‘garden’ If you are concerned about a child falling in, you could simply put a tough raised net across the top of the pond, about 2″ so that the frogs can still have access, people often do this when they have coy and the like, keeps the Heron’s out.

Failing that, cover the garden in bubble wrap.

I used eBay to get the tape to cover the cranks and other bits. Was only about £1.50 IIRC, fast delivery too.

When I first sold items on here, I took the payments on PayPal gift, yes its not exactly buy the rule book, but PayPal take enough money off me for eBay transactions..anyway I got all the items sent on first class – signed for – recorded delivery, which I believe is the only way items from the classifieds should be sold. Doesn’t cost that much more too.

Or, to make your socks longer. Turn the sock inside out, and there will be some stitching about 1″ below the top of the sock. Cut this stitching out and turn the sock back out. Then neaten off the edges so that it doesn’t fray. Wollah, a longer pair of socks. (Roadie tip)

I’ve used clippers on my arse before, didn’t create a problem. Far more hygienic, especially for 24hour races and longer rides.

Just make sure you shower first! 😆
