i sell cctv. to the trade.
trade dont use wifi cameras because they can be blocked by burglars using a scanning device.

Thank you for the tip – didn’t really want to hardwire due to messy wires and not planning on renovating the house to chase wires.

Any other tips/ways round this ???

Have a Swann system. It’s not that hard to run the wires through the loft about half a days work for 4. Internally I have WiFi based cameras on a different system. If jammed the alarm goes off.

    I’m also interested in this.

I (personally) am less worried about the wifi jamming as our street has persistent problems with opportunist neds (same guy comes around every couple of months and rummages through cars, gardens) and delivery thefts. If a pro is going to attack my house, they’re going to get in (and realise they’re wasting their time!).
