thread lock advice

I think it,s about time i started using it.
Any recomendations as i don,t want to buy some and find out the hard way that its permernant lock,if there is such a thing.cheers gang.

Rob, you want Loctite 242 Blue. It's anti vibration but easily removable when you need it to be. What you don't want is Studlock 270 unless you won't be taking it apart.

242 is the stuff, see if you can get the 'lipstick' versions. Much easier to use than the liquid stuff.

i think the lipstick version is 248, but same locking strength as the liquid 242 stuff.
